Maxtool stole $3000.00 from us. Worst company ever. Support is horrible and they are all liars. Purchased items from them. They sent incomplete orders that they could not take care of. Can I give NO stars... Ordered three items on August 21st, with a 48 to 72 hour to ship estimate. Crickets! September 4th, received an email advising the three items were backordered and the estimated ship date was now September 18th. September 8th, received a email confirming the September 18th shipping date. September 15th, received notification of order cancellation (Ordered number did not match original purchase order number. Reason given for cancellation "any orders of more than 30 days would results in a cancellation". Replied that it would not be 30 days until after the confirmed shipping date of September 18th, would they please reinstate the original order and ship as confirmed. Response "reorder via our website". September 15th, Contacted customer service/sales spoke with Jesse Hurt (ext 203) he confirmed the original order number and indicated shipping was still scheduled for the September 18th; he told me he would check into the conflicting information and call back on the 16th...more crickets. September, 16th & 17th, tried to call Jesse left several emails with no response. September 18th, had to order the three items from another source. Would have appreciated better communications and customer service. This entire process cost me one month and had to repeatedly reschedule my electrician. Max Tool this is no way to run a business. As you see in picture shipping doesn't have 1 of 2. its 1 box, 1 label. No number 2. The shipping department lied and said its weight is for 2. No 2nd label, no second box. I ordered a Fat Max 4 in 1 Toolbox from Max Tools. I've been looking everywhere for one of these boxes and I finally found one sitting on their shop so I decided to pick one up through them. The Max Tool company has been around for so long and is a highly reputable & respected company in the community so I had no fears of ordering through them. It took fairly fast to ship (ordered from Hawaii) (3 days). When I arrived the item it was packaged very nicely and was very professionally done. When I opened the box I was so happy to see that it was my Fat Max 4 in 1 box waiting for me to be used. I gave it a look around and unfortunately on the side there had been a crack. I contacted the Max Tool Customer Service and had been greeted by some great people working at Max Tool. I spoke to Anthony who was a really great customer service agent who was very kind about the whole returning process. He guided me and helped me throughout my process on getting my item returned and processed back into their system. I then waited for a call back for a review on what they will do in my current situation. It took one day.. First thing in the morning I got a call and I was greeted by a gentleman by the name of Denzel. The angel came down from the sky's and have presented me with a 60% discount backed by his manager Jose. But wait... there's more. I thought about the decision and since I did come from hawaii, the shipping was quite high because of the size of the box and my location, so I requested I would just go with the replacement and return. Denzel understood my situation and went back to his manager to explain the situation and plead to his manager to give me a better deal even though he could have just made me return the product... But not these guys at Max Tools they take care of their customers here. Denzel put me on a brief hold and came back momentarily. Denzel spoke to Jose (Manager) and had came to a decision. The sky's parted and the bells were ringing. He had told me that they would allow me to keep the damaged box and they would send me a new one free of charge. WOW! What kind of company would ever do such a thing... Thankyou so much to Max Tools and their awesome customer service agents Anthony, Denzel & Jose thankyou so much for your hard work and excellent customer service. Do not believe the reviews you see online. These guys provide A1 customer service... When you think of great customer service or when you come across having an issue with your product. This is the results you would only hope to be the outcome & today it was evident that the Max Tool Staff provides the best customer service in the world. I will be doing lots of more business with Max Tool because of the Customer Service Agents I have encountered here today and this is the kind of place I will want to spend my money at now. Before purchasing my item I realized this will be a one time purchase and I probably would not comeback if not needed. After purchasing I realized how great this company backed by their staff is and I will be coming back many more times! THIS COMPANY JUST LIES TO YOU! I placed two separate orders within the same month with MaxTool. ORDER #1 I placed an order with MaxTool on Thursday, June 4th, and they subsequently told me it would ship the following day, Friday so I could receive it that weekend (Saturday). I checked the FedEx website, and it said it was scheduled for delivery on Saturday, June 6th. (I'm about 35 minutes away from MaxTool's warehouse in Ontario). Despite the fact that MaxTool's said they shipped it, the FedEx website said they had only created a shipping label. When I spoke to MaxTool, they insisted they had shipped it. It turned out that they did not ship it until four days later. I ended up having to wait a week for my order to be delivered, which cost me time and money. Their excuse was, they had a lot of packages to get out, but there were unable to back up their lie when they told me they had shipped it when they said they did. Due to MaxTool being local to me, I thought just maybe the last order was an outlier. ORDER #2 This time, I thought I would call MaxTool and speak to someone, so they understood I did not want a repeat of the problem of the last order. I placed an order for a Table Saw on June 22nd. I was considering purchasing it from another online store, but the salesperson at MaxTool said, if you purchase it from us, we can have it delivered on June 24th, but if I went with the other company, it would have to come from all the way across the country. He said I would definitely receive it on the 24th. Today is June 25th, and they haven't even shipped it. I immediately cancelled my order. I spend my $1500 and subsequent purchases elsewhere. I had an older Duromax 10,000 generator that had been used a lot, and finally wore out some parts, plus someone using it had hooked it up incorrectly and burned some parts up. I hated to scrap it, but after much effort, could not find the parts I needed. I talked to Bandon B. at Maxtool, who went out of his way to get me the replacement assembly I needed, and later went out of his way to help me find another part. The unit runs like new again. Shipped a generator to Puerto Rico. Poor communication after the sale. Ridiculously LONG waits on hold for a person. Little understanding of shipping process/ costs. Misled on how/ when the unit would be delivered. Called out as Fed Ex International Economy. Was led to believe it would truck to the SE and then fly to Fed Ex facility near the delivery point. FedEx never touched the package. I had to track down the various companies used to transport the unit and track it myself. Shipped by truck and container ship. Was not delivered to final address, had to pickup at the port several hours away. Unresponsive to inquiries. Promised call backs that never occurred. Overall very poor customer service. read more
