When staying in Bigfork, this spot was across the street and was too cute to not check out-- The inside was even more wholesome. Just popped in to get a coffee and was distracted by all the amazing goodies, snacks, produce section, frozen goods, spices, rubs, knickknacks, etc. For a smaller place it was organized it all the right ways. As planned I just got a coffee but, was very tempted to buy other things as it was just the neatest shop--just means I will have to come back. The experience was amazing and so was the staff. The vibes and people here are so great! Both the owners and the employees appear to be very friendly and genuine people. They have some fun items to browse through, both food and non-food. They sell pre-made goodies, fresh produce, coffee items, wines, etc. My favorite thing I have tried is their huckleberry bar. It's unlike anything I've tried before. Perfectly sweet and crumbly. My husband likes their lattes. They use oat milk. There are no flavorings offered outside of honey. We have also picked up some to-go egg salad sandwiches and a to-go orzo dish. We were disappointed by these. They didn't have much substance or flavor, which was surprising. After only dropping in a couple of times, we came back for brunch, which occurs one Sunday out of the month. If this is something you are interested in, I highly recommend making a reservation. It wasn't crowded, but the seating is very limited. There were two offerings, a French toast and a burrito. We got one of each, and also ordered their version of a mimosa. No prices were listed, so we weren't really sure what we were getting ourselves into. The mimosa was very refreshing. It cost somewhere around $8. Each brunch dish ended up costing $20. We were literally shocked, and we kept talking about how staggering that price was every time we thought about it afterwards. We did like both dishes. They weren't mind-blowing or anything, but we did enjoy them. You could tell they were made with love and with high quality ingredients. However, I don't think we would have ordered them if we knew they were $20 each. I think half of that price would be more on par. Oh well, at least we know our hard earned money went to a good bunch of people. Another weird thing... my husband asked for a cup of water when we left (we weren't given any water while we ate). They added $1.50 to our bill for that tiny cup of tap water. Jeez. I would say it's worth checking out and definitely grab a huckleberry bar (about $6 for a bigger one), but I cannot say I'd recommend brunch. I'd give them somewhere between 3-4 stars overall. read more

This amazing little cabin of the woods is a haven for vegans! I can't believe I accidentally stumbled into this place in search of a basic coffee. The entire interior is filled with unique vegan/vegetarian treats and meal components. Looking to build a charcuterie board? You must stop here! Additionally, they have grab and go bites like a salad, sandwich and handmade power bars. The granola bars were amazing! Charged by weight, so keep that in mind as you reach for the palm sized one. They offer a full espresso bar. In terms of alternative milks, they only have it but that's good with me! You can't miss this place! read more

Incredible! There is not much vegan food in the valley, so thank god this place exists! I had the chickpea caesar as a wrap and it was amazing. Fresh, made from scratch food that makes you feel good! We tried the huckleberry matcha and honey matcha which were great as well. Now when people ask what my favorite place is to eat in the valley, I'm going to recommend this place. Stopped at Max's Market for the first time and I loved them until after I paid my lunch bill. Food was Good, price high (OK everything's gone up), they let my dog in!!!!, they were very nice, but I will probably not return. I paid my bill for a sandwich lunch, $33.46 dollars!!!!. $16 for a vegan sandwich (tasty, yes), $5.50 for an energy bar, $6 for a very tiny probiotic tea, and then I left a $5 tip and the final charge, .96 because I didn't use cash but a debit card. It was my favorite place until I looked at my bill after getting home. I don't like businesses stretching every little thing they can to increase charges--they are good enough, fun enough, relaxed enough that they could lower the prices for a lunch and not add 96 cents to bills. I believe they would gain a larger following. Alright, alright, I probably will go back, I liked them,--but there is such a thing as padding prices when its not needed. read more

We are so happy to discover Maxs market!!! The food is amazing, and a breath of fresh air in an area where most restaurants have beef burgers as the main offering and no decent veggie offerings - unless you count French fries as a vegetable. The produce part of the store is quite small but the offerings are fresh. They have great books and gifts. The coffee offerings are really nice, the Wi-Fi is fast and the ambiance is great. Wish I could give them six stars. read more

Friendly folks that seem committed to bringing goodness to the community. Across the street from Burgertown, just south of the Bigfork bridge, right before Wayfarers State Park. Ideal location with decent parking in front. Good selection of fresh & locally grown veggies. Coolers are full of ORGANIC: drinks, dairy (tasty cheeses), meats, vegan foods, too. Lots of dry goods like pasta, coffees, teas, herbs, condiments, etc etc. A few nice gifty items. Small counter where you can order a coffee & treat to go.
