Half eaten Wild Mild Burrito (sorry)

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! We found this absolute gem on our trip through Big Fork. This is a MUST STOP, MUST VISIT, and MUST EAT! We shared a Flathead Falafel "bowl" and Wild Mild Burrito "bowl" and a Huckleberry Refresher. AWESOME! We met the owner Jenny who is just as awesome as the food and refresher. Truly a great experience!

We are so happy to discover Maxs market!!! The food is amazing, and a breath of fresh air in an area where most restaurants have beef burgers as the main offering and no decent veggie offerings - unless you count French fries as a vegetable. The produce part of the store is quite small but the offerings are fresh. They have great books and gifts. The coffee offerings are really nice, the Wi-Fi is fast and the ambiance is great. Wish I could give them six stars.

Well I did not know that I needed to make a reservation for Sunday brunch so I wasn't able to enjoy the vegan French toast which sounded amazing. However my husband and I had excellent sandwiches! They were fresh and delicious. Later we shared a huckleberry oat bar... yummy! Thank you

Nice addition to Bigfork! Eclectic decor includes a space for music & gatherings. Max's is a perfect combination- a sweet & cozy country store filled with healthy groceries! Friendly folks that seem committed to bringing goodness to the community. Across the street from Burgertown, just south of the Bigfork bridge, right before Wayfarers State Park. Ideal location with decent parking in front. Good selection of fresh & locally grown veggies. Coolers are full of ORGANIC: drinks, dairy (tasty cheeses), meats, vegan foods, too. Lots of dry goods like pasta, coffees, teas, herbs, condiments, etc etc. A few nice gifty items. Small counter where you can order a coffee & treat to go. Looking forward to trying a lot more of their offerings. I love to patronize our LOCAL businesses- they keep us vital & connected!

Max's Market is such a great little shop! I appreciate their amazing selection of products, and I've discovered some new local brands here. They also host fun community events and concerts. It's a perfect addition to Bigfork and a great place for the whole family to hang out!

So we've been to Grateful Bread many times. Every, single, time, we leave disappointed, not in the food but in the service and the wait. The food is okay. Honestly, because of how long you have to wait to get it, I'd expect something out of this world, but it comes out as run of the mill eats. At this point, we know what to expect when we go in. What GB has going for it, is that there aren't a lot of options in town. Last week we went in before hitting up Harvest Foods, saw that there were just three tables of people and thought, ok, let's give it a shot, surely we won't have to wait TOO long. We were short on time so we ordered two Avocados toasts, one with bacon. That's it. With only three other tables in the house, it took 30 minutes. As we sat there, about 6 more tables came in. With ONE waitress. With also whom I can presume is the owner as I've seen her time and time again, also bringing out food, there was absolutely no hussle. Listen, I worked in food service for a decade. When I worked, I moved. People were waiting to have their order taken. The bell would ring that food was ready and it would sit there. The owner surely could have been taking orders too. Heck, you could even give the tips to the waitress! Maybe there is a worker shortage in Big Fork, I don't know. But girl (owner), you gotta be hustlin' to make up for it. And no offense to the waitress but girl, you too. Or hire a busser, someone to bring out food and cleanup, ring people up. In any case, it's always this way. We hadn't been in a few years and gave it a shot again. As we were walking out, I said "well that wasn't THAT bad", as in having to wait that long for food and watching people just sit there in silence wait for the waitress and then their food is a good thing. Also, not to be petty, but as a deadhead, I take a minor offense to you using the name and not being vibin'.

I had a very unpleasant experience today!…read more I haven't been followed through a store like a thief since I was 8 years old and was actively shoving a ring in my pocket, trust me when I say my parents made sure I learned a BIG lesson that day. I entered the store this morning and asked the gentleman for any recommendations helping cleanse chemo from my husbands system. The gentleman was great and helpful afterwards I proceeded to grab some vitamins I knew we needed to stock up on. I noticed the bitter ole lady that kept following me around. Rearranging perfectly tidy items right next to me in multiple different aisles as I was browsing for things. It was enough and obvious enough to make me feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable. It was clearly her watching me. Trust me the vibe was unpleasant and tangible. I ended my shopping and went up to counter (normally I drop my stuff and just leave OR more so, I usually say something!) but I proceeded up with the things I had in my hands and the same ole woman checked me out, she was RUDE refused eye contact, slammed the pen down on top of my receipt, handed my card to me with contempt I said "thank you" and she replied "yeah...." With this bitter expression on her face. For whatever reason she wanted me OUT of her store. I have shopped at this store for a few years and I have never been treated in such a way as I was today. Mind you I'm dressed well, showered donning name brand clothes and a bag. I do not fit a "can't afford to shop here stereotype" nor was I being shifty in my browsing. I looked for stocking stuffers and vitamins to help my hubby detox from his chemo regime. It's unfortunate that they felt treating their customers as thieves is the way to approach business. But I will shop elsewhere from here on out.
