I had a very unpleasant experience today! I haven't been followed through a store like a thief since I was 8 years old and was actively shoving a ring in my pocket, trust me when I say my parents made sure I learned a BIG lesson that day. I entered the store this morning and asked the gentleman for any recommendations helping cleanse chemo from my husbands system. The gentleman was great and helpful afterwards I proceeded to grab some vitamins I knew we needed to stock up on. I noticed the bitter ole lady that kept following me around. Rearranging perfectly tidy items right next to me in multiple different aisles as I was browsing for things. It was enough and obvious enough to make me feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable. It was clearly her watching me. Trust me the vibe was unpleasant and tangible. I ended my shopping and went up to counter (normally I drop my stuff and just leave OR more so, I usually say something!) but I proceeded up with the things I had in my hands and the same ole woman checked me out, she was RUDE refused eye contact, slammed the pen down on top of my receipt, handed my card to me with contempt I said "thank you" and she replied "yeah...." With this bitter expression on her face. For whatever reason she wanted me OUT of her store. I have shopped at this store for a few years and I have never been treated in such a way as I was today. Mind you I'm dressed well, showered donning name brand clothes and a bag. I do not fit a "can't afford to shop here stereotype" nor was I being shifty in my browsing. I looked for stocking stuffers and vitamins to help my hubby detox from his chemo regime. It's unfortunate that they felt treating their customers as thieves is the way to approach business. But I will shop elsewhere from here on out. read more

The prices at Withey's were never much to crow about. What's worse, though, is that no matter how many times I went there (and this was even in the days before Natural Grocers and Mountain Valley Foods came to town), I always found the staff at Withey's to be a rather snobbish and xenophobic lot toward anybody perceived as new, non-local, or, horror of horrors, non-Montanan. (Hopefully their treatment had nothing to do with me being mixed race, too.)Treating your customers like strangers that make you wrinkle up your nose and use just two fingers when handling their money certainly isn't a smart way to retain customers. I've been to Withey's about a thousand times. They are your typical small town health food store with a small fresh produce section as well as other healthy items... Interestingly, they carry a wide selection of wine choices as well as some small run craft beers. Also in their arsenal, home brewing equipment and supplies as well as wine making supplies! Overall a great store. Easy to find what you need and the staff is quite helpful. The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is that it takes awhile for the staff to really warm up to you. Otherwise, they're great and they are always there to help you out! read more

I am visiting from out of state for a wedding and came down with weird stomach bug. I looked up the closest health foods store and was so grateful I came across Withey's. I called to see if they would put together a little care package of all of my favorite remedies- activated charcoal, coconut water, digestive enzymes, bananas, and kombucha, allow me to pay over the phone, and have my cousin drive over and pick it up. I spoke with Barbara and she was fantastic! They even packed me a nutrition magazine and a calendar! Love the customer service. read more

Excellent healthy grocery & supplement store! And BONUS it's a locally-owned independent business. I found that prices are competitive & produce was definitely less expensive than other stores. I found my trusty supplement brands & more. Staff is eager to help, answer questions & order something if they don't stock it. Seasonal local produce, a fabulous offering of loose tea, herbs, and organic bulk food. IMHO quality ingredients don't need fancy packaging. Nice selection of dairy, frozen foods, body care products, etc etc. Oogle the wall of snacks, protein bars, chocolate, temptations. The other natural food store that I tried can't hold a carrot to the consistent product quality or customer service I find at Withey's. Prices are average and to be expected for a small store. Frankly, Natural Grocers beats both Withey's and Mountain Valley's prices by a large margin. Where Withey's and MV both beat out Natural Grocers is in the booze department; NG does not sell alcohol (as of this review). read more

They have a very nice selection of beer and wine homebrewing supplies and ingredients. Prices are ok, but definitely cheaper than ordering elsewhere and the people are friendly and helpful. read more

Great store. Employees were very helpful. We need more stores like this in general. Only been in Kalispell for 2 days and I was a 2 day customer. If I go back to visit, definitely going back! read more
