I've lived in CA, TN and all over the US in various states where usually, I find myself having to visit multiple stores in one day trying to find clean ingredients and Whole Foods. Natural Grocers have been such a fantastic place to shop. I'm more than satisfied with what they have to offer and found that even in a small place such as Kalispell (compared to major cities I've previously lived in) I'm able to find everything I need in this one store. Thank God they don't mandate masks or infringe on my rights while shopping. For those making complaint against the store for this reason, keep your fear and yourself at home. Natures Grocers, keep doing what you do. Your store is clean, well stocked, even during this crazy times and have so many healthy, legitimately clean options. Okay, I'll risk sounding snarky by candidly writing what I actually think: I call this place Withey's Revenge. Thank God the Flathead finally got a health food store that doesn't look down their haughty nose at shoppers. I don't feel like a surreptitiously slinking slightly embarrassed health-nut weirdo when I shop there; no, I just feel normal! Yes, I really appreciate how Natural Grocers MAINSTREAMS the healthy life, and makes my shopping environment feel like any other fantastic, friendly grocery store! My favorite sections of the store are the produce and personal care departments. I appreciate that they support local businesses, like Kalispell Kremery. I was thrilled to even find a kombucha starter kit there. Oh, and the clean bathrooms and the wonderful sitting area which has come in handy more than once for nursing babies and holding sleeping toddlers. No other place is more families-with-young-children friendly. NO place. It's simply our top health-food store pick for the Valley. read more

Kathleen, Cristy, Leeann and Paul are my favorite cashiers at NG. Kevork is nice too with a funny sense of humor! Adam in produce is friendly, welcoming too. Overall I like the selection and the prices are good for the quality you get. I especially value NG taking down the communist signs they had at the front door promoting fear and fraud. Formerly loved this place but for the last months I have been so frustrated that they tolerate a high percentage of customers without masks. Other businesses do far better. It runs counter to their stated values. I have complained estaff many times including during the supposed early high risk hour which frankly is often a terrible time for anyone in a high risk group to shop. I know it's a challenge but they are far below the Costco, REI standard and even walmart seems a safe place to visit. Am avoiding until management takes it more seriously read more

Poor selection and high prices. I was expecting more :( the location is good being in the middle of a major shopping center

I have not had much of a problem here other than some of the floor staff have in the past and presently have no idea about vitamins and supplements. When I ask for further help there is no one available, that "they're gone today" or "they've gone home for the day"). Really? The items I want in the store are usually available. In other areas of the store I have been happy with the help I've gotten when I inquire about an item I can't find. I appreciate the monthly mailer for information on new and 'reduced price' items. The store has been adequate for Kalispell but not for long as the valley grows exponentially. Prices range from reasonable to absolutely outrageous and although I can find some items for less at other locations, I cannot spend my days driving around to other locations to get 'a deal'. The whole carbon footprint thing, you know. As for masking, I have stayed away from some stores because of the lack of enforcing the previous mask mandate. Natural Grocers is one. People are going to do what they want to do, regardless of any unenforcable order or store entry requirement. Protect yourself because we're all in this together? I was blown away at all of the different items that they had for sale in there that were natural and organic in nature. The kombucha selection is unlike any other that I have seen before. Not only was the selection huge, but so was the size of some of the bottles. It seemed like a 1/3 of the store was devoted to wellness and vitamins. The probiotics refrigerator case was comprehensive for all ages. What did I learn today? The best part was that the prices were so reasonable to any other store that might carry a fraction of these items. read more

We LOVE this store! After going NonGMO only, we found this place and the cost of organic food is lower than the non organic version in many stores! The produce section is all organic only, and the amount of quality foods are unparalleled in at least a 100 mile radius. We only wish we lived closer :( but the super friendly staff always happily provide us with ice packs and more, even when we are here shopping way after closing. This is a great grocery store with excellent products, selection and price. I would give a 5 star but they advertised Sillymarin on sale, I went on a special trip to purchase a couple of bottles, when I got home I saw that they charged me full price. I didn't notice in the checkout line because I ended up buying several more items. Had to go all the way out to the store again and the clerk said this isn't the brand that is on sale. Looking at their advertisement when I returned home it clearly was the brand that was on sale. Normally they are helpful and knowledgeable this time it was a huge fail. I've decided for things I can get through Vitacost to shop there instead. It was a frustrating experience. read more

This organic store is pretty great. Unlike Whole Foods they are open about their organic policy, and that is "you wont find non-organic produce in their entire store". I like that! There is not butcher, but they have a very nice quality meat selection, with many %100 percent grass fed options. If you are in Kalispell and you need real food, this is the place. read more

This Natural Grocers is top notch. We have a scaled down version in Missoula and I was very impressed by the choices; how much grab and go items they carried. I am in town just for the evening but was able to get dinner in the deli case as well as breakfast for the morning and three beverages all for under $15.00. Nice value as well. read more

I love this store! My wife and kids have some nasty food allergies and there are a huge variety of special things for them that they never thought they'd be able to eat again. So tonight I had to swing into natural grocers to get some stuff. One of the things I was looking for was an appetite suppressant as I'm doing a wet fast next week. So I'm talking to the gal helping me and she is showing me different supplements. She stops and looks at me and goes "I don't know what I can or cannot say about these products. But you should get this one because it gives you a really hard dick." Whoa...I just looked at her and she giggled. Yup, she said hard dick. Ok, that was entirely unexpected. In general, this Natural Grocers store in Kalispell, Montana does offer nice products and very reasonable prices. Yes it is a beautiful and clean store. The store has very helpful floor staff (minus a couple of cranky old ladies-sorry ladies!). Even it has a decent eating area with a microwave, utensils, chairs, tables, and some health magazines. I like these store in many ways. However ONE MAJOR PROBLEM HERE IS OVERCHARGING, every single time I shop here, the store charges higher prices for some items at the register. I try not to shop here anymore, but I at least shop here once a month. It is so frustrating and wasting my time. I used to not pay attention, but I live in a small town with a Safeway Store. Safeway stores are notorious of overcharging their customers! "Safeway has been the subject of three lawsuits brought by the State of California since 2003. The court ruled that Safeway must offer over-charged products to customers for free (or a $5 credit if the item cost more than $5) and display signs announcing the policy". Hence I am more alert to this kind of greedy fraudulent sales practices. Of course, I did not pick up the wrong size, flavor, or even the wrong brand than what is actually on sale. I do not even pick up a lot of sales items. I pick up items I need regardless they are on sale or not. But I do pay careful attention to their listed price tags these days. I usually ignore if the overcharge is less than a dollar, but if it's more than a dollar difference from the shelf price (I'm on a tight budget) I ask them for a price check... yes, that makes me wait in the long line again... sometimes I wait up 30 minutes... until the manager checks the prices,talks the issue with someone else and figures out how operate a cash register to refund etc., I usually ask the managers, hoping that they will fix the overcharge issue locally and immediately, so it would not happen to anybody again. The shift managers at this store LUCKS EITHER TRAINING or NOT THE RIGHT INDIVIDUALS FOR THE JOB. The other day a middle-age lady, a floor manager, directly quipped that the overcharge issue was not her fault. Weird, I do not need to know if it was her fault or not, she represents the store while she is on duty. There is a young gentleman manager, he is a better. However I try not to take out on the cashiers, because I do not think that the cashiers input the prices in the system. I am definitely saving all my receipts (yes, both the original and re-issued receipts) and I will go to the local TV station to ask investigation if this happens again. The Natural Grocers should do something about it, so it does not become another Safeway! In addition, perhaps the Natural Grocers should adopt the strict policy of offering over-charged products to customers for free for the sake of the customers' wasted time. Finally, I am not making a out of a mole-hole, customers should not be overcharged! read more

We are usually in here 1-2 times per week. We love this store and its staff! Great selection. Frequent sales. Friendly people. The lines stay short because as soon as it builds up they send an overhead page asking for additional cashiers. The only negative is I have been overcharged several times for items that were marked down but the cashier scanned the original barcode...just keep your eye on the screen and make sure the prices are right. read more
