I had recently had some friends have pools built so I did meet with one of their builders. After Zak came out to meet with us to talk about what we had in mind, it was their business to loose. Zak came up with some great ideas and he seemed very knowledgeable about the permitting process here in New Braunfels. He knew of one of the other companies I was waiting on a quote from and very honestly told me his company would probably be higher. He explained some of the reasons why which all made sense to me and seemed legitimate. When meeting Zak I felt this was a local company that knew what they were doing, had their own crews and could be trusted. Pool builders are normally ranked somewhere between accident lawyers and software salespeople. Just a joke. All said and done our new pool is in and more beautiful than the design Zak had created for us. The project stayed on schedule and their crews were very skilled, respectful and cleaned up after them selves. This company is top notch and I highly recommend using them. I tried opening it myself, with too little knowledge and spending too much money on chemicals. The white flag was eventually drawn and a "professional" pool service was called in. They worked on it for 2 weeks with absolutely no change. They too drew the white flag and was never seen or heard from again. I was referred over to Classic Pool Services from a friend. Ben took a look at the pool, smiled and said, "We can turn this around." It was the confidence in his voice that reassured me, when it seemed like a lost cause. His knowledge and expertise was evident as he skillfully assessed the plan of attack and, over time, put that plan into action. Ben was also very courteous in letting us know when he arrived and what he would be doing. And then upon leaving, he always mentioned when he would be back and what the next steps he would take - assuring us that the plan was on track. Long story short he installed a balboa controller that would only handle 4 pumps, problem is I have 5 pumps and a blower motor so I would have to have no blower motor and one of my seats not working or the wave on the lounger. Told me I had a blown #2 pump only to find out after Bell Pool and Spa actually repaired everything Mike didn't have power to the pump, thus not working. End result was he gave up removed the balboa controller and reimbursed my money for the new controller and left me with a NON working spa. All this after I think 5 different visits to the house to try to get the controller working. I would recommend Bell Pool and Spa that actually fixed my spa.

It was low, but after running the hose for two hours, the pool still wasn't filling, and I ended up wasting a lot of water. I called them and told them the pool was not filling up after 2 hours of trying to fill it, but no one came for over five days, and during that time the water kept dropping. I've never seen it that low, so I was worried there was a serious leak. When the repair guy finally came out, he called me several times but didn't seem to know why the water level was so low. He blamed me for not filling it, even though I fill it weekly or whenever the maintenance man tells me to. Eventually, he said the pool cleaner must have left something on, causing the water to drain -- and that was the explanation. Then I received a bill for $218. I called to explain what happened, but the owner was completely unhelpful. He put the blame on me and denied that the repair man ever told me the leak was caused by the pool cleaner not turning something off. In 20 years, I've never complained, and yet they treated me terribly. There must have been a huge change in ownership, they have never spoke to me in this way before. I have pictures from last week showing the water level just slightly below the white line, and I filled it immediately after receiving the maintenance man's email. He sends me pictures weekly after every visit. This company has changed in the last few years, even the cleaning is not like it used to be.
