There was a delay in him getting there because another job took longer than he anticipated but they kept me updated and asked if it was still okay for him to come at the next two hour service window. I appreciated that because it was respectful of my time. Of course it was fine. Darren arrived, assessed the situation, and gave me three options. I opted to replace the tank and bring it up to code but held off on the tankless option. He came prepared with a high quality heater in the truck with everything he needed so he did the work right then and about two hours later he was done and we had hot water again. The service started looking very professional. I received text notifications about the technician…read moredispatch, a foreman came out first, reviewed the cleanout location, and confirmed the service and price. Unfortunately, everything changed once the work started. They hydro-jetted the line for about 10 minutes and then told me everything was fully cleaned and the job was complete. They had not inspected the line with a camera first, and when I asked them to verify the result afterward, their camera suddenly "wasn't working." They also tried to convince me that Burbank does not have a sewer-cleaning rebate program, even though I had personally used that program before and received a rebate. I then hired another plumber who inspected the line first and showed me a large root obstruction that DropStars had not removed. He properly cleaned the line and provided before-and-after video showing the line was clear. DropStars also dragged equipment through my yard, knocked over garden lights/stakes, and left without fixing them. What bothered me most was the complete lack of follow-up. They told me someone from the office would contact me, but nobody called back. No explanation, no return visit, no attempt to finish or verify the work. They simply abandoned the job. I also checked the Burbank address they advertise on Victory Blvd. I personally drove there and could not find a DropStars Plumbing office. The location appeared to contain only auto/body shops, which raised another red flag for me. Stay away from this company.
