we have driven by in the parking lot is full. So tonight we ventured out. Our waitress seemed flustered in the beginning but we decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. The Cobb salad was average. Nothing that any other greasy pizza place would serve. We chose to get a cheese pizza to see how good the sauce, dough and cheese actually was. The only way I can describe the sauce is opening up a can of SpaghettiOs. The dough had absolutely no flavor and the cheese was a grease pit. My fiancé described the pizza as worse than school cafeteria pizza. The waitress was barely attentive to us and was only nice when she dropped off the check. I would not recommend this pizza to anyone. There are far better pizzerias in the area than this subpar restaurant. And the cars that seemed to be flooding the restaurant were not there for the food but were at the bar drinking. A telltale sign. read more

Went to Max I II and III previously, and have had a good experience good food and portion size. Not here, had horrible service, cold as hoth and there was hardly any meat on my turkey grinder. They charge for refills to btw so watch out. Kids Mac and cheese is alright. read more

Max Pizza IV is our go-to pizza restaurant. The Special pizza and gluten free Meat Lovers pizza are very good. The Chef Salad is also a good choice. read more

I just had the best gyro in the area. I'm a gyro aficionado, so I know of what I speak! Chock full of beef and lamb and the tzasiki (the key to any good gyro) was excellent! I've stopped in before and was impressed with the service and quality overall! read more

Ordered boneless wings but got chicken tenders. The staff tried to tell me these are boneless wings but how come their menu has two different items for chicken tenders and boneless wings? I guess they don't know the difference! read more

We went here last night with family, ordered wings, salad and pizza. Wings were really good, pizza and salad were ok. It's your usual Greek style pizza that you find in this area. I grew up with Italian style, despite living in this area for 15 years I just can't get used to the square thick cut slices. Pizza was mediocre, atmosphere was cold, beer selection was decent, waitstaff was a little frazzled but they had a party in the other room so she had her hands full trying to juggle all the overflow to our area. I wouldn't go back, didn't do much for me. read more

Amazing salads and great Greek style pizza. You fantastic go wrong with anything there!

This place has gone down so much lately. Their pizza is still OK, but their dinners are just horrible. We ordered Max Deluxe, which is manicotti with meat sauce and eggplant parm dinner. The manicotti was thick and gluey. The eggplant was disgusting. It's as if they have no idea how to slice eggplant because every piece seemed like it was more skin than actual eggplant. As with all things in this town I'm sure it has to do with the staff. If you hire people who just don't give a shit they will run your business into the ground. read more

Great pizza! Came in from out of town and had the pizza twice in a week! Takeout was quick and efficient.

Their pizza is so bad that I literally made a yelp account JUST so I can write this. $13 for the driest buffalo chicken pizza the world has to offer. This chicken is drier than my humor. This pizza just tastes like dry chicken water on some great value bread. At least the crust was okay. I wouldn't order from here ever again read more

Great service. Excellent food. Amazing vibes... good family place, quick take out, and a fun bar for sports games or even just to hang out.... not to mention the well-priced happy hour. As for the food they have the best pizza sauce around and variety of fresh grinders. I could keep going but you're gonna want to try this place for yourself! read more

We go here pretty often. It's been maybe two months since our last visit and pizza is delicious as always. One thing I'm not to happy with is I've never noticed and think this is new but they charge you extra if not paying with cash for pickup. Did your credit card percent or swipe go up or is this just a way to make some extra money. You don't offer delivery so I don't see why there would be a cash discount when it's my gas I'm using to come get my pizza. Would of gotten five stars but gave four. We won't be going as much sad to say over something a place that already makes a good amount on pizza is using the economic struggle as an excuse for cash or credit. Also would like to add don't order the clams casino. I have no clue what kind of clam casino pizza this is but it taste like a plain cheese pizza. Missed big time on this one. Changing to 3 stars. read more

I went to eat lunch with my eight year old daughter and after being given the menus the waitress ignored us for 25 minutes. The waitress was right in front of us and not really engaged in take-out orders, or give us eye contact. Horrible service horrible experience. Stay out! B.T.W. the table and chairs are dilapidated and in desperate need of a dining room renovation. read more

Service was very slow. The pizza is very bland. Not much flavor in the dough. Disappointing. Maybe just tonight but they were playing old school rap the whole time. I like some old school rap but in small bites. Not a solid hour of it. Overall - meh read more

Good pizza place in much needed area. Pizza is typical Greek pizza. Square style. Not as good as Italian but decent for quick local pizza. Grinders are very good. Chicken cutlet or ham. Bar area has potential but doesn't seem like they are gonna use it. Needs NFL ticket on Sundays. Think place would do well in that area. But overall it's nice but little large. Also staff seems confused and unorganized so far when I've gone in. read more

A group of us had a good experience while there last night. A couple of us ordered some drinks from the bar and there was something off with the taste. One of the employees over heard us talking about it and came over to help out. She brought new drinks, but they still tasted funky. So she went back, a third time, got the whiskey from the bottle and different ice and that solved the problem. The waitress was also very helpful and friendly. The pizza ( Max special I think it was called) was really so good. Crispy crust, delicious flavors. Yum! Every time we go we have a good experience but this, I feel was exemplary service. Thank you to Rachel and Michelle, you two know how to make your guests happy. read more

Would not recommend the pizza. Crust and sauce lacked flavor. Overall bland. Others I was with have tried their regular food and said it was good so maybe just avoid the pizza. read more

I was torn on whether to give 3 or 4 stars.... Just went for a few drinks & apps. Great $5 happy hour for specific apps, which tasted fine like normal "bar food". My biggest complaint was the service. While my friend & I were involved in a pretty in-depth conversation, I had to stop the staff ask for refills in our empty glasses. The staff at one point commented they didn't want to interrupt us, but in my opinion filling the water at minimum was something you could do and give me a chance to ask for another round. If they were more present, I probably would have drank/spent more. I choose to give them the benefit of the doubt due to the circumstances, so four stars and I'll try them again before determining if I'm going back to using the Stafford ave location. read more

Excellent pizza! So good- nothing better than getting freshly made pizza, with delicious sauce and perfect amount of toppings delivered directly from the oven to your table! It's a home style place with plenty of parking and seating. Attentive and efficient servers. read more

Rancid sausage. Pizza was Horrible. Service was worse. They refused to give me a refund and both pizzas are going to waste.

Run of the mill , typical chain-like pizza. Crust is flavorless. Toppings ok. Won't order again.

I absolutely would recommend this restaurant to everyone. From the time we walked in till the time we left. The staff, I personally met the manager. They were all wonderful. The pizza was delicious, mouth-watering. Very tasty. I will definitely be going back. I finally found my #1 pizza restaurant. read more

How can I even speak of my experience.. let's start with the wings. We order garlic parm boneless wings, only to receive regular bone in wings.. which are swimming in a soup sauce sopping through the container.. (10 drums to 2 wings ratio), making the wings on the bottom mush. The wings on the top were cooked perfectly, but didn't deliver on flavor. And then the pizza.. who in the world wants a square cut pizza!?! They should warn you before you order if it's square cut.. and ask you to confirm. It tastes okay, nothing incredible.. Certainly nothing MAX about this experience. I hope it was a one time fluke as I usually enjoy my experience at the MAX restaurants.. read more

We went on a Monday night with a group of friends. It wasn't our first choice, but I am glad we ending up there. It was a group of 6 including myself. We all sat at the bar in a table. There was a gentleman working behind the bar. They were fairly busy for a Monday night, but the older gentleman handled it well. He greeted us, asked out drinks of choice, and food. He did mess up on a beer choice but didn't hesitate in taking it back and getting a different one. He went back and forth from the bar, to waiting tables. He checked up on us a few times, asked for refills. We finally got our pizza, 1 buffalo chicken without onions, 1 margarita, and lastly 1 half cheese half pepperoni and bacon. We asked for all 3 pizza to be mediums and they were the perfect size for all 6 of us. The pizza did not disappoint. Well cooked, perfect crisp on the crust. The buffalo had plenty of chicken, and the margarita had a great flavor. Would definitely go agin when in the area. read more

Pizza took way to long to come out. When it did it was ok, not too flavorful. Calzone was a big goopy mess and not really sealed that well. Waitress was nice but was nowhere to be found half the time. Took forever to get refills. Probably won't go back. They do get crowded but it's more of a local crowd hangout that's cheap enough and good location. read more

I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY AT A RESTAURANT WHO HAS RUDE, UNAPPRECIATIVE, AND UNPROFRESSIONAL STAFF!! I called for (4) pizzas yesterday for my daughter's birthday party (gave them a 3 hour notice). The young girl who took my order was absolutely wonderful (so polite, friendly, and professional). She repeated my order back to me and had everything CORRECT and told me my total came to around $70. I asked that ALL my pizzas be lightly cooked (not too burnt or crispy because I had all small children who I know wouldn't eat it if it was overcooked) and that they all be PIE cut because children fight over who does or doesn't get a piece with a crust. When I received my pizzas and brought them home, not only were they ALL overcooked, they were all square cut. I called the restaurant once I noticed this and was made sure that no one ate any pizza incase proof was wanted/needed. The lady who answered the phone with her RUDE ASS & UNPROFESSIONAL attitude said that it wasn't her fault or her problem and that there was NOTHING she could do to fix it. I use to ALWAYS buy pizza from them, going forward, MY ENTIRE FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT I KNOW (around 25-40 people that I know eat there) will NO LONGER be giving the restaurant our business. I've worked as a waitress for 16+ years and not once have I ever spoke to one of my customers like that. She should appreciate she has a job with that mouth and attitude of hers. read more

I went to max pizza 4 because all the others have great pizza and great service. I have worked in fine dinning establishments for most my life and let me tell you, max has some phenomenal options. they should be embarrassed small cheese pizza isn't asking for much literally every inch of cheese slides right off when pulling apart never mind when you take the first bite simple pizza rule the cheese has to connect to the crust and they're clearly using pre cooked or pre prepped pizza judging by how all the crust is exactly the same that's just not how bread bakes taste is there but execution is awful everyone go to max on stafford ave instead i'm mad confirmed read more

From the moment my boyfriend and I walked in we had a wonderful experience!! We were greeted politely and enthusiastically and seated right away. Our server was so amazing. She spoke clearly and kept checking in on us and giving us updates on when our food would be ready. I was blown away by the food. I've tried my fair share of pizza shops and this one is unlike any of them. I had the carbonara..let me tell you, I've been searching for a good one and I finally found it! My boyfriend ordered the cheeseburger pizza and we shared. Both menu items were delicious. Normally we don't save room for desert but we did... we had the lava chocolate cake with salted caramel ice cream. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great little gem with genuine good food. This was my very first time at this establishment and all I can say is, I will be back. What a great first impression and wonderful dining experience. read more
