Here is another casino in Carson City. It stinks literally. Max Casino is pretty basic and there's not that much interesting as far as the casino area, and the odds aren't good here either according to many others. Black Bear Diner has a location attached. There's also a stinky hotel that's nothing special. It gets lots of locals here. Pretty small for a casino and there's not much to do inside. There's mostly slots and few tables games, and many have no dealer present. In the back is a bar. This is where to go if you need an alcoholic beverage and you've come to eat in the restaurant. Black Bear Diner has a location here attached just off of the casino floor. This is about the only reason most people come in. Also there's an attached hotel. This looks okay but others have said it really smells. It was a Wyndham Garden, but now it's the Federal Hotel. The players in the casino are either locals or they're in a room. Best thing here is the Black Bear Diner. It doesn't have much else to offer. The hotel doesn't look bad from the outside but reportedly it smells.

Find place to gamble lots of free stuff for new players

Decided to stop in here to check it out Me and my girlfriend had a blast playing here. They give u lots of comps. Play and they have fun drawings. They called our name and we won $25 cash Plus if u turn in any other casino playing card they give u $10 free play new members get $10 bucks more free play That staff was very nice. Treated everyone like family I would Definitely recommend stopping by fun place

So this turned out to be a total lie

Bait and switch players club offers ... way to get off to a hot start there Max. So if you look on the website, there's an offer for $10 free play if you turn in your old Carson Station card for a shiny new Max card. It's buried now, but it was prominently on the front page a few weeks ago. I'll upload a screenshot as soon as the listing gets approved because they'll probably "disappear" it in carny style entirely at some point. Get to the player's club desk and they're like "No no no no no, that's not how it works, you have to turn in a card from another Carson casino." Like, give them one of your other player's cards. Not only is that not at all what the offer says (again, check the screenshot), that's the dumbest promotion I've ever heard of. Was hoping maybe the new management would have some influence on cleaning up the attached Wyndham Garden hotel but after this I've got the whole place marked as a no-fly zone (except for the diner, if they've still got that $5 corned beef and eggs breakfast special).

This is for people who are looking for $1 hot dog, $1 taco, and $0.50 wing.

The front bar which has a huge TV and large bar table doesn't provide immediate attention nor food. It seems like they only have one waitress to serve the whole floor. However, the deli at the backside which has less smoke. If you are looking for &1 hot dog, taco, and $0.50 wing, this is the place. The staff are friendly. Taco and wing are deep fried on-site.

Black Bear Diner's wonderful waffle!!! Thick-cut bacon!!! Yum! :)

We went to the restaurant inside the Gold Dust Casino in Carson City. There was a little wait to get the host to seat us. They were doing double duty as the cashier as well. The smoke in the restaurant is less than it is in the casino, as far as smaller casinos go, the smoke wasn't super bad. We got seated and drink orders taken. I see they have a prime rib special available 7 days a week for $16.99, not just on Friday's and Sat. like some other casino restaurants, plus, you don't have to wait till 4pm either, available at 11am seven days a week! I went with that, medium rare please. Someone else ordered the breakfast, "Little Star", basically a standard 2 egg with hashbrowns and toast and sausage for $7.99. One of the crew ordered the "Wrangler" burger, a double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings in the burger, served with fries. For appetizers, we got the onion rings and the loaded potato skins. The food all arrives and everything looks scrumptious. My Prime Rib was a decent size cooked as ordered, served with a baked potato. The appetizers were good, I actually like the loaded skins with the melty cheese and bacon. The onion rings were a smallish portion, but I guess it was just $4.99 so there's that. The Wrangler burger was quite a sight! He said the meat was real good and seemed like bigger than the two 1/4 pound patties on the menu. I'd come back here again, this is a new revamped menu from years ago.

I frequent many dining establishments across Fernley, Sparks, Reno, and most recently Carson City, and from our experiences, Gold Dust West stands out. The employees we've encountered consistently provide good to great customer service and genuinely understand the value of repeat customers and long-term business. They almost always have a wait during dinner hours; however, tables turn quickly and the kitchen keeps up with demand. We've never waited long for our food, which says a lot during peak times. I honestly wish this level of understanding and execution could be instilled in some other nearby cities here in Northern Nevada. Grateful shout-outs to Rebecca in Guest Services, Jelly our server, and Jason (J) the bartender at GDW Casino. And at The Grille at GDW Casino--thank you to Manager Bryant, whom I truly appreciate for taking the time to have a conversation, Host Ashley, and our great server Aquiles. Also, kudos to the chef and kitchen staff for consistently delivering good-quality food in a timely manner. Great service, great teamwork, and another enjoyable visit.

Basically our room was two rooms that have been converted into a suite that has a kitchen, little dining island, living room, and a separate bedroom and bathroom. It has two doors to enter, so a little weird but honestly, super practical. The rooms were very quiet and I couldn't hear any noise from any neighbors. The shower was great and the water stayed super hot through both of our showers. The room was spacious and clean (though the floor could have been swept/mopped better imo). The first night we were there, someone got sick in the parking lot. I called the operator and explained the situation and asked if they had anyone to clean it up as it wasn't exactly what anyone wants to see and to my surprise they immediately sent someone out who was able to clean up that spot! Thank you!! The casino is small, but had some good games. Overall, I'd stay here again.

We have stayed in the hotel a couple times as well. We're pretty satisfied with both areas. This time we're staying in the motor lodge section of CVI. It's ok. Not our favorite. The room needs a lot of updating. It's a little dingy in some areas and it's not as clean as we expected it to be. Curtains have hooks missing and signs of stains. Bathroom rusting in some spots and exhaust fan cover just hanging to dear life. It's a nice location and it's walking distance to a lot of places. Oh also, the walls are super thin. We can hear our neighbors talking clearly. It's like they're just in our bathroom at 1 point their conversation was so clear. This motor lodge had a lot of potential so please please CVI management please consider updating and give the rooms some attention. It's going to be really bad in a couple of months if it's not attended to asap. Love love love CVI. Staff is 110% helpful and kind!!! Save the motor lodge. Do t let it be an afterthought
