Most of the patrons are seasoned people. The prices are very fair to accommodate their budget. Not one time did we not receive outstanding customer service. Everybody is working very hard to make sure the customer is taken care. Fun fact turkey dinner is my favorite meal!! This place offers a seven ninety nine meal that does not disappoint. We go to this casino when we want a certain dinner in the restaurant. Don't play much slots but they got some good one's. I wish they had some table games especially live poker. I know they don't have much room but they could convert some of the parking garage to more gaming area. There is plenty of parking outdoors. I really feel Carson City with it's new growth could support table games and a poker room. Right now poker players have to drive to Reno. We like the special deal dinners at $7.99. Add salad or soup for $1.50. My favorite is the pork chops, can't seem to pass them up. Breakfast is okay too. I love the mustard sauce that comes with it and the mashed potatoes are extra creamy. I have eaten here on many occassions and enjoy it. I prefer to sit by the window because it is easier to see and too dark at the other tables. They can usually accommodate us. Wait staff is polite and they work fast. Mostly locals frequent this place and I used to live in Carson and Tahoe and went here back then. No issue driving from Reno. It has a pretty basic American homestyle restaurant, which is where most people are at if not in the casino. This place attracts mostly locals. It has quite a few slots but few table games. The woman told me that she had called me four times and she wasn't sure they had room and then she decided to see there anyway. I was not called four times sitting right in front of my face. If she had called us at all and didn't get a response. She should've announced it from her podium to the group sitting there because my husband and nephew were right there. The service continued to go downhill when we only got half our orders. We will not return and we are resident Carson City. We will go somewhere else. Most of the time you walk into a casino and it's like, Well, you've seen one, you've seen 'em all! But for some reason Bodines has a little something extra that makes me a little partial to this spot. One thing I REALLY appreciate and look forward to are the fancy bathrooms a casino will often have. This one is not fancy per se but it's upscale, updated and very calm, which is a nice break from a casino floor which is never calm. My last trip here I won over $200 on a dollar slot so maybe that's the little something extra I'm feeling... heehee. Large bulky hunks of chicken wrapped in tortillas were hard to eat - the beans ad rice were tasteless or what taste they did have was definitely strange. My rating is specifically just for the gambling aspect. I would consider this a small locals casino. It is decent compared to the other smaller casinos. The gambling floor is quite small and not much a selection of games to choose from. It's all slot machines and multiples of the same theme. I haven't tried the restaurant. We were told by more than one person that Bodines is THE place to go for a good breakfast. Well, not so much. I ordered off the 4.99 menu and got a breakfast sandwich (fried egg, ham, and cheese on sourdough bread) with hash browns. The sandwich was barely passable. You can cook an egg for a sandwich without making it dry and greasy. As a matter of fact, the whole sandwich was a bit greasy. I was really looking forward to the hash browns though...until I took a bite. Tasted like the oil was old and rancid. Horrible aftertaste. My husband had the eggs Benedict bowl. Eggs and ham on top of a bowl of hash browns with some hollandaise sauce in it. No toast, nothing else. He had the same comment about the hash browns as I did and said the dish was swimming in the sauce, which tasted like it was out of a can. The coffee was mediocre. We were a little annoyed that we could only get one menu, but learned that they toss them after the order is made, so that was the reason for the second star. We've had a lot of disappointment from casino breakfasts lately, so we'll pay the higher prices and go to the local places that just serve food. Usually they are much better. read more

The older lady at the cashiers cage first said that we needed a players club card to change our change in, and I said that I would go ahead and get one. She then said it couldn't be any more then $200 worth of change, it clearly wasn't. We have been going to Bodines for awhile now, we really enjoy the pizza, but we drive all the way from reno for the service we get from Dawn. She is always happy to see us, and if the food wasn't perfect she is genuinely upset over it and she fixes it with a smile so we will definitely be continuing to enjoy our time there read more
