Upon our arrival, there was plenty of parking both in front of the casino, and in an adjoined parking garage. The exterior of the casino was clean and appeared quite safe. This was an easy casino to access both from downtown Carson City and it was easy to get back on the main highway. While all of the Reno/Carson City casinos seemed pretty similar to me, I appreciated this one due to the non-smoking area. During my four days in the area, I experienced many casinos, and I couldn't get away from the smoke smell in most of them. In this casino, there is a well-ventilated non-smoking area just to the right side of the front door. I popped in there and would have felt comfortable for a good period of time without being bothered by smoke. For those who enjoy gambling and may be affected by smoke, I highly recommend that you visit Fandango and see if you enjoy the experience as much as I did.

My CA buddy does not come to Carson city often and wanted to see what your casinos looked like. I warned him that this is a very old established local casino and to not have high expectations. Now, I'm here with my crew as we need us some food and while we're staying in Minden, I just couldn't think of anywhere I thought was any good that would keep the crew happy. Some of the guys on my crew wanted to try their luck in the casino, so it just me and the one other girl on the crew for dinner and depends on if the guys win any money they'll eat later on their own. We'll see if they're lucky! The dining room still looks just the same with nice booths along the big windows. We parked the big Suburban in the underground parking lot to keep it cool with this warm weather we have here. Lots of parking underground. I wasn't super hungry, might have something to do with all those Doritos I ate on the road and at the hotel. But I did see these loaded potato skins appetizers for $8.99. You get five loaded skins with cheese onions and bacon. Bacon always sounds good. My friend ordered a small Margarita pizza, with cheese tomatoes and basil. The guys would have ordered the meat lovers pizza if they were here. The pizza was ordered crispy on the crust please. The food came out at the same time and my loaded potato skins looked tasty. I used the Parmesan cheese for the pizza on my potatoes. Yummers! Wow, these are some real nice skins! I can taste the bacon and cheese and onions all together. I'd really get this again! The Margarita pizza was beautifully cooked and the toppings were all evenly spaced. I took a bite and it was good. My friend was going on about this was one of the best pizzas she ever had. I'd guess I'd want more meat on mine! Now we'll see if the guys have any money left or if they won some! I'm gad we came here.

Basically our room was two rooms that have been converted into a suite that has a kitchen, little dining island, living room, and a separate bedroom and bathroom. It has two doors to enter, so a little weird but honestly, super practical. The rooms were very quiet and I couldn't hear any noise from any neighbors. The shower was great and the water stayed super hot through both of our showers. The room was spacious and clean (though the floor could have been swept/mopped better imo). The first night we were there, someone got sick in the parking lot. I called the operator and explained the situation and asked if they had anyone to clean it up as it wasn't exactly what anyone wants to see and to my surprise they immediately sent someone out who was able to clean up that spot! Thank you!! The casino is small, but had some good games. Overall, I'd stay here again.

Rooms were great - temperature controlled well, very clean and modern looking. Only negatives were housekeeping knocked twice to clean our room on our check-out day, and gave a lil sass when we weren't ready.
