I received a recommendation on my 4 tires needing to be changed; tread was worn, advised it could be dangerous when the roads are wet. First quote was about $1100, I declined because I wasn't expecting it. Shortly after the man that checked me in said he could add a discount if cost was an issue brought it down to $953 tax included. I did schedule that service out 2 weeks. Nonetheless insie was clean, spacious, there wasn't a list of "to do's" like the dealerships hound you for. It also didn't take super long like the dealership does even with an appointment. Kind, friendly service, no pressure buying.

Then the assistant manager said he could do it. He put the wrong transmission fluid (Toyotas require Toyota WS TF). Immediately after my transmission started to slip in 3rd gear. After battling with the GM they agreed to replace with Toyota WS fluid but they didn't flush the system. The contaminants of the wrong fluid are still causing slippage in 3rd gear and I got a diagnostic from Toyota stating Toyota WS is required for my 4Runner and that the slippage is caused by the contaminant of wrong fluid. They still denied my claim. This company ruined my transmission and is refusing to take any ownership of their mistakes. This is our family vehicle and now we feel unsafe driving it. Valvoline has lost a lifetime customer because they won't own up to their mistake.

Especially (!) since I always take the better and more expensive synthetic oil. These modern oils can do easily between 5 & 10 k miles. Is Valvoline thinking their customers don't pay attention and just go back when the sticker tells them so? Jammed up my steering wheel, telescope and my turn signal then called me a liar twice on something I didn't do. If I do it I own it! Anyway, 3/4 of my car bill is labor and 1/4 over inflated parts, cars finally put back together but I can't pick up during the M-F 9am-5pm hours and closed weekends. So l told them to leave the car out and I would pick up but when I turned on car I had to shut down fast and get it towed out of there fast. It's like someone purposely played with the motor. I never let any shop know I have more mechanics skills than most there workers, they still think women are dumb. They loosened and flipped my alt belt, loosened and chewed up teeth on my lower two belts, damaged my new paint job.
