I had a problem in my tires with lower tires pressure signal. They said that I have to replace all four tires becasue all tires are getting wore out. It was a problem to cause this problem. I took their advise. They charged me $1,400. Then he talked to manager and gave me discount by lower $200. After replaced four tires, the tires presurres message did not disappear / go away. I went back several times to ask the same questions. They said I have to drive couple miles. It will disappear /off automatically. It did not work as what they said when I drove more that a miles. They could not able to slove this problem. I use google search, it should be able to reset with the "tires reset buttom". The do not know and they could not be able to fix the problem. It is my first experience with this problem. Finally, the guy replaced all tires telling me. it was because the pressure. He put more pressure on each tire. It did not work. He used the ipad to check this situation of my car. He said, this was a problem for the sensor of my tires. I must to replace three of them in order to get this message off. He said "he cannot fix it. He said I have to call the dealer to replace the tires sensors. I did not understand it, it was working fine and without any problem before replaced all four tires. I have feeling they broke all the tires' sensor of my car. Now, I have to call the dealer to replace the sensor for my car tomorrow. I was very sad for what they did. Get to the place tell the guy checking in the car in the parking lot he states ohh you booked online they don't know our store promos. Then asked for the price for the wheel alignment and once he heard I'll be getting other services free he goes yeah the wheel alignment is $179 dollars obviously plus tax almost $200 bucks. They trying to charge the free stuff in the price of the actual purchase. Even the employees working on other cars laughed trying to scam customers. Be mindful with Mavis and this location. I had one of the most stressful car days ever, but Clint and Ulises at the Mavis on Commack Road completely turned it around. These guys are the real deal, professional, fast, and genuinely care about helping people. It all started when I went to the other Mavis in Deer Park. I arrived on a tow truck, waited around 20 minutes just for the office guy to even acknowledge me, and then he told me to drop my car off the tow. A little later, another guy came out acting like the boss and basically told me I was out of luck because my car was too low for their lift. I was so frustrated and had to wait another three hours just to get another tow to the Mavis on Commack Road, hoping for a better experience. And wow, from the moment I arrived it was night and day. Clint came out right away before I even had to go inside, ready to help and get things moving. Ulises and the rest of the crew jumped in immediately. They were friendly, hard-working, and really knew what they were doing. Ulises went above and beyond. He literally went himself to pick up the tire I needed in his own car, and even let me use his personal spare tire just so my car could roll safely off the tow without causing more damage. That kind of care and effort is rare and it honestly meant a lot. Everyone there worked quickly and efficiently, communicating the whole time, and they had me back on the road in no time. The Mavis store on Commack Road had no cars in the bays. 2 cars in the lot and 4 workers inside the bay laughing and hanging. We got there at 5pm. Asked about getting a used tire put on tonight. The manager was super unfriendly, rushed our conversation basically said it was too late and they had other cars waiting. There was no one else waiting. He checked the time several times while speaking to us. Then he seemed annoyed when I asked if they give military discount and then proceeded to say a tire was $216 plus $35 for installation, no eye contact told us to apply and wait. We did. Then went back in and was told they cant so it tonight they would have to make us an appt. For tomorrow. We will not be returning nor referring our friends and family. Was in a jam and needed a inspection done on 2021 Corvette. After visiting a different location and being informed that a tech was not available, I ended up here. Nick was respectful and efficient and made sure to get me in and out in no time. My tech was kind enough to put air in my tires as well. Based on my experience if I was in the area and I needed an automotive concern addressed or an inspection, I would absolutely stop here and see Nick again. Parking lot is available on site. I want to preface this by saying that I used to be a loyal customer of Mavis, especially this location. I've spent thousands of dollars there. Back on June 22nd I went to Mavis to replace my tire. I was informed that all four tires needed to be replaced, coming out to around $700. The entire process took about an hour and a half, which is pretty on par for Mavis. A few days later, I noticed while driving that there was a sound coming from the front driver's side. I went to back to Mavis, and spoke with Jerome about the issue. Upon telling him, his response was to question whether the sound is just a coincidence, eluding that the sound had nothing to do with the tires being replaced. It didn't seem like a coincidence since the sound only started after my initial visit. Jerome informed me that I could leave the car with them and he'd look at it when he got a chance, although he told the couple in front of me that their inspection would take about an hour. When I mentioned that I couldn't leave the car, he stated that I could bring it back in 4 days. It seemed extremely unprofessional that there was no sense of urgency regarding an issue that may have been caused when they switched out the tires. I decided to leave and take my car to my regular mechanic. Upon going to my mechanic he asked me how long the sound had been going on for and if I had driven the car on the highway (I had), he informed me that the front driver's side tire was never tightened on. This is absolute sheer negligence that could have resulted in damage to my car or someone getting hurt. The negligence and arrogance that was exuded will ensure that I will never recommend this location to anyone who needs car service. read more

I have been coming to this location for YEARS, recently they have been so horrible to me. I call ask if they have time for an oil change they say yes, now all of a sudden when i come it's "you need to leave the car overnight we don't have time." On many separate occasions this has happened. I walk in and am ignored until they are ready. A simple "we will be with you soon" would be appreciated. Not rushing you but don't ignore me having me feel uncomfortable. Not to mention the attitude I get from the employees and I try to be nice and understanding but theres no need for the attitude. I had a great experience at Mavis on Commack Road. When I called to make an appointment to change my tires, I was asked all sorts of questions about my car so that we knew which tire size I needed. Based on my answers, they quoted me at 100 dollars a tire. I said okay and we booked the appointment. Because I had been to a different mavis before, my information popped up with my phone number and it turned out that the tires I needed were actually only 80 dollars each. I was very grateful that the gentleman I spoke to told me this - they could have easily billed me for the more expensive tire and kept the difference and I wouldn't have known at all. My boyfriend had a voucher for a free oil change that he couldn't find. He suggested I ask Mavis to look up his account and see if they could honor the oil change for me. They did! I dropped off my car around 9 AM and asked if I could be driven back home until the car was ready. I only live about 6 minutes from Mavis so they were accommodating. I said I was in no rush for the car and that I only needed it back by closing at 5 PM. My car was ready around 3. Had I chosen to wait in their waiting lobby for the car, I would have sat in a standard waiting room. There's a 7/11 across the street and Deer Park Outlets about 5 minutes from there, so it wouldn't have been too bad. I was beyond happy with the service I received from Mavis. I know I can't always get a free oil change, but I loved their professionalism and honesty. Mavis has a loyal customer for life. read more

I learned the cost Mavis charges to put a patch on a nail hole depends on the size of the tire. A 20" tire is $40 and a 16" tire is over $20 with incremental increases in between. When I asked why there would be a cost difference based on the size of a tire when a nail hole is a nail hole regardless of tire size (and, consequently, the size of the patch), the employee just advised that's what they charge. So basically, Mavis is taking advantage of people who have larger rim sizes. Shop elsewhere. I'm going to All Weather Tire instead. Better prices and services - plus, locally owned. read more

I made an appointment for an oil change on Friday, and while my car was up on the lift one of the mechanics called me over to tell me I needed a new control arm for my front right tire. I was so worried about driving, I was terrified. He told me they could order a part, get it Monday and have it fixed Tuesday. The price tag, $600-$800. I post my review 2 days ago, but it does not show! Why? I had record conversations of the manager force me into replace my tires in order to pass safety inspection at 1:00 pm. July 01 2013. My tires are just put on over a year with tiny cracks on sides. it is notmal. The manager used those tiny crack as excuse to have my tire rellaced. Tire treads are way good, with only 10,000 miles. Scheduled an appointment to get my brake pads replaced for 9am. Arrived at 8:40am... didn't get to leave until 12:30am. I could've took a quick trip to Boston and made it back home by now. Staff was friendly, but what's that going to do for you when you're stuck in the waiting room for nearly 3 hrs? My tire pressure light was still on when I left. They had all my information from my phone number after I visited another Mavis location almost 3 years ago! When I arrived the clerk already had my info pulled up and immediately took my car in. I waited about 15 min for an inspection and they filled my tires with air for me! (That light has been on for a month!) Worst Mavis ever! I was told that my car needed brakes by the dealership where I purchased the car. So went to the Mavis on Commack Rd in Deer Park to get my vehicle services. After waiting for an hour, one of the service employee drove my car and told me that I didn't need brakes. He didn't even put my car on the lift or remove my tires.
