This is an awful "Firestone" ... Do not come here they are not honest. Especially women who want peace of mind with their cars, these people are not your allies. We came in to do a basic check on a car I wanted to purchase. (Side note: I only go to Firestones because I value their higher level of integrity & professionalism.) My boyfriend made the appointment for me and we came to this "Firestone" with the car and the guy who was selling the car. The guy behind the counter who seemed like the owner told us it would be quick and so we all Sat down in the waiting room. I won't comment on how he keeps his shop, but let me just say the shop is not clean and bright. But that's the least of our worries here in this review. Out of nowhere his worker comes out from the Back, signals to our seller and says some words in Spanish. Our seller gets up to talk to him. My boyfriend got up too when he realized what was happening, and they quickly ended their Spanish conversation. Our seller sat back down with us in the waiting room. And I don't know why but we let it go. When the worker finished checking the car he came in to the waiting room where we all sat, approached our seller again for some reason, and spoke with him in all Spanish explaining to him the problems of the car or something. We didn't understand what was going on and it was very uncomfortable. We asked him to speak with us, because WE were the customers. He said a few words in English "the fan, it won't turn off" Then he proceeded to ignore us again and kept talking in Spanish to the seller. I don't know who he thinks he works for. The seller is not the one who paid his boss $40 that day for a car check, we were the PAYING CUSTOMERS, not the Spanish speaking guy who came with us. Apparently this is how they treat PAYING CUSTOMERS. We walked over to the owner who was standing behind the counter, just watching & not doing anything about the situation. He then spoke to his worker in a few words & told us, the Fan won't turn off in the car.... do you want to check the fan, my boyfriend said yes, sure. The owner says it'll be more money because it's a separate check. Then his Spanish worker started going out of the office to the back and again spoke to the seller in Spanish I just said .... Hold on a second can you guys stop for a minute, What's going on here? Can you explain to us what he checked and what's wrong with the car first before you do any more checks. So the owner just repeated the fan issue... Not mentioning everything else they checked. Not offering maybe a diagnostic report. Or a more detailed explanation. So we just said don't check it, it's fine. We paid him the $40. And left. This place is a disgrace to the Firestone name. Don't be fooled, the owner tries to act courteous but it's all an act because the way he handles his workers and his paying customers is not courteous at all, as you can see. If he cared about his customers the Spanish worker in the back would never come out and mingle with customers and when he came out he would speak only with the PAYING CUSTOMERS in English in a professional manner, who bring business to the shop and pay his boss actual $$. These people are unprofessional to say the least, the way they handled the situation I wish I had a video to post here of how they behaved to customers. Firestone should do a review of this place and shut it down. Any women that want to fix their cars, do yourselves a favor and don't come here. I bring my car to a Firestone in jersey that is absolutely amazing, respectful, informative and professional, so there are definitely safe places you can take your car to, just not this one. If I could give 0 stars I would. Let me start by saying I have been a happy customer for years and referred man people. Now ... this place has been on a big nose dive. I would say mainly due to the staff jimmy has hired I don't believe jimmy is there anymore. I stopped in the other day and the guy "Raphael" who seems to be running the place now will treat you like a second class citizen, like you are a huge bother and he has no time For you. I've been in an out of mechanic shops all my life. I referred family and friends to you jimmy because you were honest and a nice shop that made people feel comfortable. My husband and his family have been going to Jimmy for years. He is their mechanic. They don't bother with going to the dealer (unless the problem is under warranty). Jimmy is much more cost effective and does a quality job. He's done all sorts of repairs on the hubby's car including tires, brakes, oil changes, new wiper blades, etc. On our visit this month, Jimmy replaced the brakes. They came out to $225 and change, which is significantly cheaper than what my husband was quoted at his last oil change (in NJ). Jimmy thinks that both brother's are named "Mike" which is funny. (Mike is my brother-in-law.) Overall, you'll be happy if you get your vehicle serviced here. Good quality work and good prices. read more

My husband and I have been going to Firestone (Jimmy & Mike) for over 10 years. I consider them my mechanic! They're cheaper than going to the dealer; have NEVER did any repairs that I didn't need. They've always explained any actual repairs outside of the normal oil change and tire rotation...even down to arguing with me that I shouldn't put wider tires on my car. We ended up negotiating the width, but it was done within an hour with free rotations for the life of the tires. He's honored every slow leak, with fixing them for free...always telling me "they're my tires" and has several times helped me out with payment being "get out". I attempted to change my headlight..ended up going to Jimmy. He had Mike change it in less than a minute...no charge. read more

Went there because my car was overheating and I was already in the parking lot. They claimed a 600$ wire was bad. Got it replaced. 3 days later the entire cooling system burst on the LIE and ended up costing me an additional $1,200. My family and I have been going to Jimmy for YEARSSSSS! They also know him on a personal level. So it was only right that I refer my mother to him as well. She needed new tires and back brakes before making the drive back home to Florida. She brought her car in last week. She waited there until the car was finished. When everything was completed she just jumped in the car and left. When she got to her destination and went to the front of the car she realized that her car had been hit. Her bumpers paint was all off, as if someone swiped her car. She immediately went back and requested to look at the tapes. Jimmy and her BOTH saw something that looked like a collision on camera as her car and another car got extremely close. Jimmy told her that it's hard to tell on that specific camera but he has another camera in the back that he can check after the shop closed and he will get back to her in the morning. Well, needless to say, the next morning he called and said nothing happened and their was no collision. She wanted to see for herself but he refused to show her and she also wanted him to playback when she first pulled in the parking lot early that morning before anyone arrived to prove that she had no damage on her car. He refused! He even refused to provide his insurance info so my mother can put in a claim and let the insurance companies deal with it. He then lied to my moms claims agent and said my mother had other scratches on her car which is a bold face lie (and would be irrelevant even if she did)! Even the claims adjuster saw the car and said the only damage is the front bumper. My mother paid almost $900 that day for work. It's sad how Jimmy refused to take ownership and do the right thing. Especially considering how long and how well he knows our family. Never in a million years did I think Jimmy would be as nasty as he was. Sad and pathetic. Firestone works on all 3 ....top a +++ service and very fair...the only complaint I have is..the shop is always packed with customers...which is a good thing...Jimmy the owner is a gentleman..and very helpful and professional.. Do not I repeat do not even think about going here I took My BMW 330i for an alignment. I parked my car and waited inside their office for no more than 15-20 mins while they checked my car I get my car back and there is a huge dent on the door and the manager proceeds to tell me it didn't happen there as if I hadn't just driven my car there and was stupid enough to not look around my vehicle before handing it over he proceeded to curse me out and kick me out the store horrific experience do not even think about wasting your hard earned money there i have never seen such a disregard for customer service a 79 $ alignment is now going to cost me 300 because of their carelessness with my vehicle read more

I went there to get new tires mounted & balanced which I bought online. I have 2009 Maxima which have 19" wheels. I was quoted 15 bucks a wheel and was very happy with the price. went down there and had them installed. Well I was getting a lot of front end vibrations at speeds 35 and up, heavy vibration @ 60-70 I figured oh its the rain or the road. I wait about 7-10 days went back to Jimmy and was like well we balanced them, you was even here (I felt like saying "I wasn't in the garage watching your employees, otherwise would have told them they are using the wrong weights"), but come back any day m-f before 430 or on Saturday early so we can check it out. Well I work m-f 8-430 and from what I heard from Jimmy it is crazy there on a Saturday. So I was like forget I will bring it to a tire shop, sure enough, they were balanced but with the wrong weights, they used the ones that mount to sidewall but only on the inside of wheel since they look stupid on outside (T Style Clip on). they even removed the ones that were sticker mount weights that go on the dish of the wheel. When I had them balanced the guy @ tire shop put the sticker mount ones and the rides fine now...Thanks Firestone for making me pay an extra $25 bucks to fix you error. read more

I had my intake gasket manifold replaced. In less than a year it started to leak again. I went back to the shop, Jimmy held the car for a few hours then told me the leak was fixed. A month later the coolant leaked out again this time they told me it was the cap and they changed that. Yet again it leaked they told me it wasnt....why was i replaced the coolant every few weeks then? I took my car to reliable shop...Stacks in Babylon. They showed me the work that was done by Firestone...there were even missing bolts. Firestone basically jerked me around till the year warranty was up then told me they could not do anything. I would NEVER go back there they are crooks. Aftter spending close to a grand there it was a waste. Had the job done correctly and got a 5 year warranty for the work at Stacks. Jimmy is a peice of shit and a bull shit artist taking atvantage of people. read more

This is the last place you want to take your vehicle , I took my truck there with a code c1155 left front wheel sensor /circuit failure they had the vehicle for a day when i picked it up in the evening he told me it was the harness connector and they fix it. pay them then drove out by i get home i felt the same symptoms get it scan at a shop close by the code is back, took it back the following morning, they drove it say nothing is wrong, while im explaining to the guy what im feeling this fool say i must not talking to him it not his problem, ok cool i try to remain calm, went into the office spoke with that dude seems to be in charge He came out with on attitude telling me he already paid to look at it and hee is loosing money. so now my vehicle become unimportant. he told me they fix the harness the wire was all chewed up. funny thing is i had work on that same side of the vehicle few months ago and i brake the clip that hold the harness. so i tape it and use a tie strop to keep it in place. i made a video when i was changing the compressor. when i review the video i realize that that harness has not been touch i trace the wire and none of the wire was touch so clearly he lied. I call back and told them i need a refund and they told me go to hell. not this is the funny part the problem it still there the code is still there but yet he insist he had fix the problem. stay away from those criminals. read more

if you want to get ripped off then go to this firestone. i had bad experience with this firestone before because they charged but never fixed the problem. because of this kind of situation i had decided to do my own maintenance and repairs because the majority of mechanics rip customers off. i took a friend of mines car to firestone because i could not work on it due to the cold weather. i took this car for an oil change and i know its just an oil change so they cant screw me over. well after they brought me back my keys i drove down the block, popped the hood to make sure they did an oil change. i was right, this guys didnt change the oil, he removed the oil filter and never drained the oil from the oil drain plug. i went back to talk to the manager and he started screaming because he knew he was busted.this manager works together with his employees to rip customers off. i went over to walmart and they did the oil change. these guys will rip you off. i am just hoping people will read this before going to firestone. read more
