Got an estimate on Jiffy Lube's website this morning for this specific location. $104.99 plus tax for full service synthetic oil change. When I arrived I was told that the price changed two days ago and it was now $129.99 Manager didn't really seem to care that I just had the old bait and switch pulled on me, he did offer me a $10 off coupon (which I already had). On principle I left and went to Valvoline on Sunrise Hwy in Copiague where I wound up spending $86 after tax for the same service (using Groupon). I won't be back to Jiffy Lube. read more

Not the case anymore ... it's just a bunch of guys laughing by the computer while everyone sits in their car for over 40 minutes.. I remember years ago there used to be a lot of people vacuuming and washing windows and Unless you bought an additional service you were out in 20 minutes start to finish. NAHHH. last time they took over an hour wait was insane but stayed bc i was desperate for an oil change. came last night at 5:15p two cars ahead of me in line not moving, one moves up. . some guy comes out of nowhere being a big ol man Karen. he got some part elsewhere and came back. there's 3 lines. guy who remembers me from last summer (Lol..) that's a lil sus but cool. .chooses to let the Darren cut me out of everyone else. after i waited 45mins.. but Darren's crying and wet his baby diaper. wasn't going to be rude, let big boy pull-up and take my spot. knew i was going to be done dirty, you guessed it! waited another 20 then dipped tf out peacefully. The people here are always nice and it's usually pretty quick. Depends on what you are getting done. When I get an oil change it's usually never more than 20-30 minutes. They usually have coupons so look it up on google. They have coffee which I've never tried and they have water for free. There's plenty of stores within walking distance so if whatever you are getting done might take longer than you could always grab a bite to eat or do some shopping while they work. read more

JIFFY LUBE of DEER PARK DOES NOT VALUE VETERANS! I went to Jiffy Lube today to use the coupon they emailed me and they REFUSED to honor it, stating that they are a franchise and do not have to honor all of those coupons. They may have the legal right to do that, but personally I think it is a piss poor poor customer service move and I want other people to know so they can make an informed decision. I presented my coupon BEFORE my service was completed and was not told until AFTER that they would not honor it. That is deceptive and indicative of a business owner with very shady policies and intentions. Not only will I NEVER be back to any Jiffy Lube (98 bucks for an oil change is ridiculous) but I will ensure that I spread the word to all I can that Jiffy Lube of Deer Park engages in shady business practices and DOES NOT CARE ABOUT VETERANS. read more

If possible, I wouldn't even give this jiffy lube one star. I am waiting for this solution to be rectified and until then, taking drastic measures with this jiffy lube is not off the table. With that, on February 29 I went to the Deer Park Jiffy Lube for an oil change. I paid and left. I then went to Baldwin (30 minutes away) to get my headlight fixed. (Mind you, JL said my headlights were ok on the report but I knew beforehand they weren't ... so mistake number 1) when I got to Baldwin, my oil light came on red and said change. The guys took my car into the shop to fix the headlight and that's where 5 quarts of oil spilled out onto their shop floor. They then said my car is not drivable and I wouldn't get around the block until it stalled out. Not knowing what would happen if my car stalled out, this frightened me to say the least. God forbid I was driving 65 MPH on the southern state parkway and my car stalled ? I don't even want to think about what would have happened. They look under the hood and see the cap was not put on correctly. They drain my car, replace it with 6 new quarts of oil. Then They put my car up onto the lift and they see that the WHOLE undercarriage of my car is covered in oil. Literally dripping . I am fuming. I have never been this mad. When I got to JL I was a crazy person how badly I was yelling at them for being so idiotic. No one took responsibility. Everyone pointed fingers at someone else. Everyone said "I don't work at this location, I'm just here for the day." I leave and get my husband. We go back and ask for something in writing to say if my car is screwed up from this then they are liable. they won't do it. I called the police and have a report. I took my car to my mechanic and my filter cap was broken. $1052 later, it's fixed and JL still has not paid me my money. Kenny, the DM, has apologized and took responsibility but obviously that was just blowing smoke. I will await a payment and as stated earlier; more drastic measures will be taken if not handled properly. I have proof from my mechanic, proof from the shop in Baldwin and my police report. Do NOT go to JL. Take your car elsewhere. The guys working there are obviously teenagers who are not capable. Their motto is "leave worry behind" but I could of been injured or even worse ... read more

NEVER AGAIN!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! I came in February 19th for an oil change, brought my own oil and oil filter. took about 30 to 40 minutes for them to change it. Didn't expect to have any problem what so ever. Come WENSDAY morning I park at my job, and my boss pointed out that there is a HUGE puddle of oil underneath my car (lost about 2 quarts) I told my mechanic to take a look after work hours (I had to pay him out of pocket to fix the job correctly) He calls me over and shows me that the guy who swapped my drain plug wasn't even the right size drain plug... you could twist the bolt with your fingers... So I had to go to Advanced auto parts get the correct bolt and new oil. The Jiffy lube oil change + new oil/drain plug + my mechanic totaling $154.25. How embarrassing... If I didn't catch my car leaking who knows if the random bolt they decided to throw in my car could of fallen out while traveling, then my engine could of seized... Made a phone call yesterday someone told me the manager is out but he will be in tomorrow morning. Call back next morning as soon as they opened, employees cursing in the background being completely unprofessional and still no manager to talk to. Complete waste of my own time. Mike the assistant manager is very knowledgeable when it comes to the maintenance of the make and model of your vehicle which is rare. Ive been to another Jiffy Lube out in Queens and the employees were clueless. Mike is accommodating and helpful with breaking everything down financially, and logically to make sure you get the full performance out of your vehicle. Jeffrey helped reset the check oil light and showed me how to do it on my own. Overall this place is amazing and I would recommend it to everyone who loves their vehicle and wants to properly take care of it without worrying about being ripped off. read more

Drive in oil changes. If you own a car, chances are you know what this chain of oil change places does. If you don't have a car- they change your oil in roughly 10-15 minutes once inside and usually for a decent price. The chain has been around for a long time and this location is pretty decent. Fast, friendly, and although they do try to sell you some added services, they are not aggressive about it. read more

So the reason for my 1 star review is because of my oil drain plug being overly tighten. The last service I got, regarding my oil change, was here and so I am certain that this is the result of the work from the staff. Only recently have I decided to change my car oil but the only issue I had was that the oil drain plug would not only budge, but cause my tool to slip through at times which could lead to stripping. Just a side note, the head of my plug is 14mm and so I was using the right measurement to extract the plug. My equipment is good and I have a decent amount of experience to now work on my vehicles. Now that I bought myself a new oil drain plug, I can put in the right amount of torque ft-lbs into it. With a part like this being over tighten it can cause a good amount of damage and in the worse case scenario you may need to replace your oil pan. So because this has impeded me from working on my oil change and has led me to seek out help along with damaging my drain plug, I am going to rate this a 1 Star review. read more

well back in November i brought in my nissan and in the coarse of the oil change the "tech" stripped the pan. They jury rigged the plug and pan and said nothing. next oil change was at nissan and they uncovered the botch job. $600 bucks later i am trying to recover the repair cost and i am getting a run around from the franchisee office. i am upset and corporate Jiffy Lube is upset. read more

Well we will start off with this is the second time with crappy service. Pull in bunch of young kids working their no manners nasty rude So the kid has me playing musical bays no problem I have time as he is having me pull in he gets a phone call and forgets me pulling to where he starts screaming ur going to fall in the hole. Ok I stop I correct and he has me back out and now to a different bay again so yea now I'm getting pissed we correct his attitude and he starts to do the right thing. The under the car guy never changed the oil filter so the above ground guys now yelling at the below ground guy that he already did the oil change so below ground guy goes and changes my filter. Cool right no the above ground guy doesn't refill the oil from pulling the. Oil filter so agin I confront the little arrogant human to top and check the oil level well in end all was finished but an hour and a half of my life i can't get back. My opinion everyone of those arrogant employees that were their this Saturday at 1145 should be fired or at least retrained. Took my car in for an oil change. They recommended changing spark plugs. I had them do it and it took them 3 hours and they broke a spark plug that had pieces fall in to engine. They were being extremely rough with the car trying to get the plugs back in. Now my car has exhaust fumes in the cabin and the manager, Elliott, is giving me the run around. Wish I had never let them convince me to let them do anything but a quick oil change. Stay away from this location. They do not stand behind their work. read more

Today I had a pleasant experience. I brought my car in for an oil change. Dan the manager looked up my records. Even though my last oil change there was December 2018 I was still not in need of an oil change. Not only did he not take advantage of me, He looked under the hood, checked my fluids and my tires. He could've said I needed an oil change and I would not have known any better. I was very impressed with Dan and this Jiffy Lube. I will definitely be back in December and yes I would recommend t jiffy lube to my friends. Today is Monday, January 27. I just left Jiffy Lube. I was in and out in 15 minutes.I was treated with respect and kindness. My car was vacuumed front and back, windows washed and tires checked.I was able to use my $15 coupon which to me is a big deal. The manager explained a up-and-coming problem that I'm having with my car and gave me options. He also explained to me Jiffy Lube allows the customer to come back and tap off on any oil that's needed. That will help me with my problem. He suggested I come back in 2 months and check my oil. The waiting room is clean with a coffee station. There are many places in my area that I can go for an oil change. I choose this Jiffy Lube. read more

This place is the worst. I went in for an oil change and came out with a car that leaks oil all over my driveway. They stripped the drain plug, didn't tighten the oil filter, and put some weird orange silicone around the drain plug. When I took the car back they said it wasn't their fault and they couldn't fix it. It's been months of phone calls back and forth and still nobody has refunded my money. Plus I had to pay again to get the car fixed properly this time. DON'T GO HERE! read more
