An update on my recent review. I brought the car back the very next day and Shawn made good on his promise to swap the tires out for the Pirelli models and the work was done within a few hours. Additionally, he followed up with me by phone a few days later and is sending some oil change coupons and the cost difference for the alignment. Being in the service business I understand that things don't always go perfectly, but I could not have asked for anything else in the way the situation was handled and resolved after the fact. Thumbs up. read more

Went to greenlawn service on janurary6 2025 to get brake pads front and back.A week later heard a noise from the brakes they made a correction A week later while driving on Fort Salonga Road the left rear wheel came off thank God I was not in a accident. I was towed back to that shop and 2 days later when I went to pick up the auto I was charged an additional 337.86 for lugs and studs..I also had to buy a new rim from a tire shop for 108.00.Afterward the tire could not tightened all the lugs because they were used and damaged. I WENT TO A Parts shop showed some of the lugs and got new ones and put them on myself.I only moved here 4 months ago and thought this was a reliable shop My Mistake. read more

Called and Dropped car off for same day oil change/inspection. Quick. Easy. Kind. Even offered to drive me to work. Thanks for the service Sean. read more

Stopped going here years ago. Pros: they can usually squeeze you in, in a pinch. Personable staff. Their work seems fine. Cons: no matter your "rapport" as a repeat customer or neighbor, they will kindly gouge you or your loved one for items that you don't really need or could do yourself. Antics I expect from Jiffy Lube, not an independent shop that's been in the community for years. If you do go here, try to know what you actually need and guard your wallet. read more

First time went there was over 5 yrs ago when I had them do our inspection. They failed me for windshield wipers! Wanted to charge me $60 for new wipers! Went to local auto, parts got them for $23, walked over with my little kids and installed myself, but what a hassle! Took all day for something simple! I'm not sure if they just wanted to give me a hard time or what! Tried to give them another shot a year ago, when I called and asked if he could do wheel bearings for a mercedes ML350, he said, I'll try!.....I'll try? I could try! I said, I'll call you....click...he hung up on me!! How they stay in business is beyond me! read more

Called at 4pm to see if they would take my daughters car for an oil change. They close at 5 they said as long as you get here by 4:30. They took real good care of her. Prices are good. read more

Still the place i bring my car to... my daughters car and even my moms car now. I had a S430 Mercedes that Tom and Shawn serviced until I sold it at over 101,000 miles, then I bought a 2014 Hyundai Equus to him- since day one the team known as Tom and Shawn have always treated me fairly and honestly. For my S430 it was oil changes, filters, breaks, engine mounts, air suspension air bags, complete control arms upper lower front rear, etc all over a five year period, and always affordable compared to other places or quotes. I now just need oil changes on my Equus but as it gets older- I plan on taking it here to Greenlawn service. My wife brings her Toyota Highlander here, my daughter brings here Mini Cooper, and now my mom for two years has been bringing her Lexus here. Trust is a hard thing to find in this type of business and these guys have mine. Thanks Shawn and Tom. read more

The business' reply is a Load of BS, same as the owner Just found out that a friend of mine brought her car in for an inspection at the end of this summer. He convinced her to pay over $1600 for all 4 corners of brakes; Greenlawn Automotive replaced them 7,400 miles ago!!!! You scammer Tom!! I no longer live in NY but when I visit I'll ve stopping by with receipts and legal notice. And stop changing your online name so you can skate past all the negative reviews. Hell, a year ago I ran into one of the mechanics while he was in Dunkin Donuts, HE TOLD ME TOM TELLS THEM TO LIE. The mechanic even laughed... Pathetic read more

Honest, fair, friendly. Tom and Sean have taken care of my family's cars for more than 30 years. When I come in, they ask about my mom. This is a trustworthy local business that does a great job and understands what customer service is all about. PS - We've got a Subaru Legacy. Tom and Sean have also taken care of our 2 Honda Accords and a Civic, a Toyota Corolla, 2 Volkswagen Squarebacks, and a Plymouth Volare. read more

In response to Kelly D. The car was brought in for NY state Inspection A ND to check over the car because it was recently purchased. The estimate was given in two parts one, what was required to pass inspection and two, what was needed but passed inspection. The parking brake backing plates are missing, therefore no parking brake. Kelly D took the vehicle somewhere and received an illegal NY state inspection. ( not to mention unsafe ) Its her decision where and when to spend her money, we did our job properly and gave her a fair estimate. If there was misunderstanding of the estimate that is completely our fault. its our job to communicate an understanding of what is wrong and a solution to repair it. I feel we were misrepresented in her review read more

Been going there couple of years now mainly due to walking proximity but they have been fair and honest for the most part

My family has been going to Tom for 16 years ever since we moved here from New England, for our Toyota and Chrysler/Dodge vans. Not once have we felt let down or misled. We learned about Tom from our favorite tire shop, All Weather Tires (Huntington Station) -- we asked for a recommendation for brake work. I figured that if a top-notch place like All-Weather Tires recommends Tom for brake repairs, I should check it out. They were right. Sixteen years later we are still depending on Tom and we found him up-front and sincere in repair and maintenance on our vehicles and our kids' vehicles. read more

One of the nice things about leaving the area with our family's many cars was getting away from the most dishonest, unethical auto repair outfit I've ever encountered. You watch, pretty soon he'll move over his Yelp presence to Greenlawn Service, unclaimed so he can drop the negative Yelp reviews at this "Auto Center" URL. I see Tom Clark or is it Clarke is probably doing "one shot wonders" on google reviews, they're all glowing and that's all they've done, one time. This clown's routine, for YEARS, is that more work is always needed. I've watched him fleece the elderly, students, you name it. Let's hope he has no business to sell when he retires. Wait until you see how seldom you need brake work or all the nonsense he's hawking. Read your manual, get second opinions, read more

I've been going to Tom for more than 20 years and trust him completely. I have never been pressured to do additional work and have always gotten a phoned estimate before anything was done. read more

Have been using Tom and Sean since I moved to greenlawn. I have been servicing my Lexus RX with them and never had any issues.

Tom and Shawn at Greenlawn are keeping my 2003 Jag X-type going! Always up front about expenses. Always do a terrific job. We are fortunate to have them in our community! I particularly like being able to access my car's repair history on line. read more
