I'm not a two-stepper, nor am I even a line dancer. Just love to dance - my background is mostly hip hop, funk, some salsa. Came here with a group of friends on a Saturday and to be honest, I didn't know what to expect. I felt pretty lost and awkward at first, but I had my friend Adrian who loves all kinds of dance basically grab me and help me understand the rhythm and the steps. I still had no clue what I was doing, but there are so many ways to two-step that even though I felt like I looked like a fool, I don't think it was terrible! It was just a great time with people who love to dance. I enjoyed watching more than being out there. At some point in the night, they took a break from the regular music and played some hip hop music so a group of us jumped on the dance floor. Fun place to go with a group of friends, for sure!

Came here with brother & longtime friend couple weeks ago. Enjoyed listening to country music and watching couples dance. Friend suggested we go upstairs so we walked up to second floor, looked down at dance floor, went out onto patio, sat on swing seats, swinging & hanging out. After about 20 minutes, employee came up, told us we have to go downstairs because second floor closed. Back downstairs, my brother bought round of margaritas for us, we sat down to watch dancers and sip our drink. My brother was happy we went here. Grateful for the experience and memories.

We were able to score a table under the tent, not far from the fire pit so it was nice and cozy on a cool day at 50°. There is also a big screen TV nearby nestled above a stage. There was plenty of seating under the tent. Just outside of the tent was a little bar and more seating, there was another big fire pit outside of the tent as well. There's another bar in the main building and the crawfish boil ordering area is outside as well. It's set up really great with lots of seating outside and there's even seating inside where the bar is. The line to get the crawfish was not long we only had one person ahead of us. We did a build your own boil bag with 3 lb of crawfish, half pound of shrimp, half pound of crab legs, with 1 sausage, 2 potatoes, 2 corn & some little mushrooms. Paid just a little over $80 for that. The crawfish was good with really good flavor and spice, But most of them were still pretty small due to the season. The shrimp was good! The crab legs were not the best, a bit salty and fishy. I wouldn't order them again. Next time I would just order the crawfish and possibly shrimp. Seasoning really was good and just the right amount of spice! Anyhoo, This was our first Crawfish boil of the season, looking forward to many many more.

There was a variety of games from 'old school' to newer games and there was plenty for every age. All of the games except one were working, which is better than most of these types of places. My grandson played the Willy Wonka 'coin' game and managed to get all nine character cards and a golden ticket card which is a big deal. The few who get this have their picture taken and placed in the machine - a 'wall of fame' so to speak. When we asked the staff to add his picture they said they were out of film. We offered to purchase some (Polaroid) and they initially declined saying they couldn't 'accept' it. After having a good discussion with the manager, they agreed that if we went to Walmart to get film, they would take the picture and post it, which all occurred. Not sure how they 'ran out of' film, but aside from that, all went well. Folks who aren't grandparents won't likely understand what grandparents will do for grandkids!

The blue cheese dressing was so liquidly it looked like ranch dressing. The mozzarella sticks and the sliders with cheese were not very flavorful. There was one a few months ago that had a little oil spritz on top that was my must have for its entire time on the menu. The coffee is fab. I do miss the sweater weather latte from last year, but the house made syrups and the coffee itself are really great so I can't complain. It's easy going during the day, it's more festive at night, but we love it for both vibes. The markets they host are also really lovely, great food items and pastries, etc. Solid food truck rotation, although I am missing the lamb barbacoa mini tacos now that pueblo viejo is gone and mil amores has taken over as the taco staple.

Now that the foundation has settled, let's dive in: SERVICE: The baristas have gotten much better (or were let go and replaced) and are much more competent than the first few months. FOOD: While they still don't offer food except for light local pastries, the food truck vendors have changed and NOT in a good way. I always come for my coffee and breakfast taco, but the recent change has been a huge let down (cash/zelle/venmo ONLY, inconsistent hours). Progress needs to monitor their food trucks better and revisit those contracts PARKING: Now that Progress has subleased a portion of their building to an insurance agent, the alternate lot is reserved for insurance patrons only. Parking is already frustrating to begin with. Open the grass lot and expand parking!! COFFEE: Once again, the signature coffees are just not for me... they're too sweet or light. Luckily, they're Matcha Lattes have been subbing in.

We were over here in the area yesterday shopping and surveying the place so we went back today. Little Rooster would be giving it 5 stars. He ran and ran and ran and ran (and ran) thru the water sprinklers. Got enough footage for Youtube and 30 photos. Then we scooted on over to the playscape that is just steps away. Slide city! More running, laughing, smiling, and sliding. After about an hour with the clouds getting chased away by the sun we headed towards the car for the clothing change and to find some lunch. Thats where I have to subtract a star. There is nothing exciting foodwise over here @ the meadow. The places I won't visit Chili's - The enemy or at least thats what Tony told me Johnny Carino's - How do you say not good in Italian? TGI Fridays - You seriously thought I would? Nope. Third base, maybe but then I'm pretty sure the menu is close to a carbon copy of Waterloo. Gattitown, I just did kid stuff for an hour and a half! I want serious food over here folks. Then, its 5 stars all the way.

Obviously, the former concert venue no longer exists...well, certainly not to the extent it once did. Nope. Now it's a playground surrounded by mostly chain restaurants. And while this does kind of sadden me in a bittersweet "what happened to the good 'ole days?" sort of way, I can take solace in the fact that I'll be frequenting this spot much more than I would have otherwise. Because, as I mentioned in the first line, you can sit with a cold beer and watch the kids frolic. Or, sit with a cold beer and read a book while you ignore the kids. Or, spread out a blanket and lie on the grassy slope while drinking a cold beer. I do recommend glancing up every 5 minutes or so, though, to make sure the kids haven't been kidnapped. So, while I may have taken in two or three shows a year in the former incarnation, I'm likely to visit at least a couple times a month now. Sandwiches, wings, burgers, Mexican, Asian, coffee, ice cream, smoothies and sushi can all be had here. The selection is wide. I've tried three or four of the places, and will probably eventually review them all, since I do and will be frequenting this spot often. And as long as they have edible food and beer, they're all guaranteed a minimum of 3 stars. Cuz that's the way I roll. I gotta give props to the designers for keeping the music component alive, as there's a stage area just across from the playground. They had a summer concert series there last year, Southpark Before Dark, and I'm sure they'll do something similar this year. The playground itself is pretty large, and has plenty of fun diversions for the kids...but not quite the chaotic mess that is the playground at Barton Springs. Plenty of strategic spots from which you can keep an eye on the monkeys. They even pipe in decent (for the most part) music through speakers that surround the playground. And for the summertime, there are little water fountains around the stage area for kids to get wet and stay cool. Bottom line - if you live south of the river - or anywhere in the vicinity, really - and have kids, you should check this place out, because there's nothing comparable in BubbaLand.

The furniture made it feel very cozy. I honestly didn't expect to find a coffee shop like this in Buda. The barista was very nice and gave recommendations. My mom and I both ordered Iced Pecan Pie Lattes which was a seasonal drink that they were featuring. We ordered our drinks to go, but then decided to sit in the cafe and enjoy our beverages. The coffee is legit! We both liked our beverages. I really enjoyed the pecan flavor and the sweetness level was perfect. The barista informed us that they make all of their syrups in house. I noticed that there were plenty of outlets for work or study. There's quite a bit of seating including couches. They have QR codes at each table that you can order from which is so convenient. In addition to coffee (which is served until 5 pm), they also have wellness drinks, wine, beer and cocktails. They have a nice sized stage for live music. I would love to go back in the evening for a cocktail and live music! I'm so happy to have discovered this gem in Buda!
