SHE CUT OFF ABOUT 1.5 FEET IN A BLUNT ONE SHOT!!!! She TOOK OUT EVERY LAYER AND CUT IT TO MY BANGS (which now have no shape on face now ). I've cried all week & been a mess over this. before my appointment I sent text pic messages of my hair and what it looks like and should continue to look like, I showed her my pics at the appointment of how it should look and I stated verbally multiple times leave my length and layers just take the bottom dead ends and I want a bright white around my face & no yellow since I have to already use purple shampoo and only wash it every week or so to keep it from turning brassy. I TOLD HER repeatedly these things I TOLD HER I DONT WANT CHANGE JUST WHAT THE PICTURES SHOW . I should've walked out the moment she cut the bottom in beginning and it was a dry cut and blunt across with one swoop and about .33 inch and I reiterated to her " I'm having some concerns and don't want my hair like that" & got "oh it's just how I do it, it won't end that way I'll even it and I just don't want to waste dye" WHY WOULD SHE WASTE DYE ON THE ENDS ON A ROOTS HIGHLIGHTS!!! She kept saying when I'd question her "everyone does it differently" NO MAAM, IVE GONE TO OVER 9 stylists in 7 states over the past 6 years and every ONE OF THEM at least did the basic of not chopping off my hair and layers and not giving me fire hydrant yellow bangs for almost FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS I'm adding pics of what it looks like NOW AND BEFORE AND WHAT I ASKED FOR - the prior and what I what I ASKED FOR IT TO REMAIN IS GONE AND I HAVE TO GROW IT TO FIX IT AND AFTER THAT AMOUNT ON MY PAY CANT AFFORD TO FIX IT. The long layers and TEN YEARS of growing it to the way the layers and bangs ARE gone! I've now used purple shampoo multiple times and can't get this ugly cheap yellow color out, and my bangs don't match my hair. I was told $295 and charged $345 instead ($50 extra had me so upset I couldn't even look at it again after I left for hours, I put a hat on and cried in my car). I drove 600 miles (12 hrs of driving) RT, spent $300 on hotel and $100 on gas plus food in the area for them to destroy my hair and charge me an insane amount of money: No I didn't mention it then, although I could tell she knew, and I was quite frankly so upset I had to walk away. I can't exactly come back since this whole horrible experience cost me near $1k and I'm living this summer in South Dakota so I'd eat dirt on costs again. I literally have to start over and now terrified to have my cut fixed and honestly after spending so much I can't even afford it. Go at your own risk.

I have a strange line where it looks like the product didn't process. This was my first time to go to Madison Reed to see what it was like and was not impressed. I read the great reviews and decided on Trivium. I'm so glad I did. Marissa was great! My appt was 9:45 -1pm ish. I came in a few days before for a consultation. I wanted a bright red color. Had my hair that color before and I really missed that look. Marissa took the time to explain to me the challenges of getting my hair that color and also maintenance. (Avoid washing frequently, wash in cold water, use hair color products) I really appreciated that. Because my natural hair -black was already growing out and much of it was blonde the team collaborated and recommended dark red up top and bright red at the bottom. The process was obviously a process :) Marissa was a professional and def attentive throughout. She made sure I didn't leave with any red dye color on my ears or face. Coming here was such a delight! I was really happy that others were just as excited as I was to see the results. The husband even loved it. Thanks Marissa!

I asked for a simple, one-length cut, which should be basic, yet it was not executed well despite her claiming 16 years of experience. She spent a lot of time talking and trying to make it seem like I, the customer, was wrong or didn't understand hair. If the result had matched all that confidence, fine. But talking a lot and then failing to deliver is not good customer service. I'm really disappointed and now have to pay someone else to fix the uneven, poorly done work on my hair. I really wish I could get a full refund.

Literally the whole…read moretime, I kept thinking to myself that I was already there and I should take it for the best (I tipped reasonably because I felt bad between it being holiday season and my not being vocal about the experience at the time). The stylist and facialist/manicurist were pleasant and I was told it was a salon in a home but I didn't expect that the facial was in the same space as all the other service areas or that the home included dogs that came out to greet/bark. Luckily my allergy to dogs is relatively minor. This is the first big difference from most other places. My skin was okay when done but I saw (in less than a half hour after leaving) some break out and definitely the extractions were peremptory at best. I still have some areas that needed work. What you also are not getting: calm lighting, eye covers to protect from the bright overhead lighting, warm towels whenever the face is washed off or sufficient amount of humid air to open up pores for best results. Also, the facial is done in the same small front room where there is a hair wash bowl, a nail station, and nearby is a hair station. When someone else is there, there is no possibility of quiet and the music is whatever Alexa plays (that day was medium to high energy music). I also had a manicure and it was okay looking initially but nails were not cleaned underneath, I noticed a small cut in my cuticle line, and a day later 4 of them were chipped/peeling so the "dazzle" polish that allegedly stays on extra well either was defective or badly applied. Overall, not an experience I want to repeat and I don't see myself going again. I will say it was good to have my desire not to talk too much respected.
