Debbie Bastres has been cutting and highlighting my hair for over 20 years now, ever since I had the fortune to stumble across her path, when I was in need of a new hair stylist. Changing stylists can always cause a bit of anxiety, because you never know what you are going to get from someone new, regarding both their talent and personality. I was not only impressed by the quality of the cut and highlight, but I was pleasantly surprised to find new a stylist, who is also just a lovely human being, offering friendly personable service. Debbie is a master of her craft and will offer up her impressive stylist opinions, but only after being solicited. She, first and foremost, listens to what her clients want and works with them, to ensure the desired end results. To top it off it all off, Debbie's shampoo scalp massages are to die for, they knock me right out!!! Crosscut Salon has a cozy, inviting and relaxing vibe. Debbie's design talent is also clearly visible in the interior design of her new Salon Studio as well. The waiting area is very comfy and is always stocked with loads of yummy goodies and tasty beverages to enjoy, while you wait and during your service stay. CrossCuts is a great local salon to check out for a great new hairstyle, quick cut, or trendy color! The salon is located in a fun part of Lafayette, across from the Wow museum behind Santiagos. There is very convenient, free parking in a lot on Harrison Ave. The salon is so cute and welcoming - they offer drinks, snacks, etc. while you wait. It's a fun place with modern decor, but quieter as far as hair salons go. Very clean, too! I have been seeing Beth Vogel for over 10 years (!!) and absolutely love my hair every single time I see her. My most recent obsession has been balayage hair color (she paints in the highlights by hand!) and long layers. Beth has styled me with a long bob, choppy layers, long styles, all-over blonde, ombre - you name it! She takes her time and genuinely listens to what you want for your hair. Debbie Bastres salon is classy but comfortable, welcoming & unpretentious. She's been my stylist for years because Im always pleased with what she does for me. Whether I want the same or a new style, Debbie's ideas always work because she understands & she's so talented! Beautiful little salon. You might not even notice it's there but when you go in it's super cute and welcoming. Years ago Beth Vogel was recommended to me as a great colorist and she did not disappoint so when she moved to Cross Cut I followed. Beth is very knowledgeable on current hair trends and is able to execute all my color requests and provides great advice when I am unsure what I am looking for.
