I went to the Parlour because the price was reasonable and my hair is now BROKEN. The color she used irritated my scalp and lasted only a day before turning my hair a orange shade. She was extremely rude when I called about my concerns and tried to blame me for it, not to mention she was late getting to my appointment and afterwords rushed me because her appointment after me arrived. Very unprofessional and negative vibe. Low quality supply is used at this shop, my hair is so distressed and frizzy even after a deep conditioning treatment. It's like products used were something you purchase from Sally's. I do not recommend this place to anyone, the woman at the Parlour only cares about taking your money. read more

I came in for a standard trim and long layers for shoulder length hair and came out with the biggest mess that will take months to look half way decent. She's very detailed and does a really thorough job l! I've been 3 times since COVID and I always feel safe. I came here a month ago after moving to Colorado. I have very short hair- "lowest setting on the clippers" short with longer bangs. I needed to cut the sides and back, trim the bangs, and thin them out a little. I saw that Evelyn had done a cute cut on one of the other stylists Jessica from their Facebook page so I figured she would be good. She's very pretty. (I know this sounds superficial, but if I'm going to pay someone to make me look nice, I first want to know that he/she can make himself/herself look nice first.) She was very nice, and when she styled my hair, it looked great. Two problems: 1) it cost $66 to clip my hair, trim my bangs, and thin it out, which is substantially more than I was used to paying for such short hair. Fine, I guess I have to get used to paying a different amount in a new locale. 2) The bigger issue, is that when I got home, I saw that while my hair was styled nicely, it was styled in such a way that it covered the fact that she lopped off some of my longer bangs underneath. She nipped it in such a way that I can no longer take my bangs and pin them back, off my face, because this randomly short tuft just sticks out, mocking me. Be warned about Collette!! I went to Collette for simple partial highlights three times and she disappointed me all three times. She is rushed and does not care about damaging or breaking her clients hair. She refused to cooperate with me about what I wanted done to my hair, almost as if it isn't my decision? I went to her with very healthy long hair and after going to her three times I had an insane amount of breakage and my hair was fried to my shoulders. I wasn't even aware of the damage she caused my hair until tonight after leaving a more professional salon and hair stylist. I can't say enough good things about Evelyn at The Parlour. She's been my stylist for 10 years! I have a very short pixie, and anyone who wears their hair short understands how important a great cut is. One of my favorite things about Evelyn is that she listens closely and really pays attention to give me the cut I want -- not just whatever is the typical standard pixie formula. Better yet, she never fails to offer free touch ups or tweaks if I find the cut isn't perfect after working with it at home for a few days. (And let's face it - although rare with Evelyn, the occasional tweak is just part of having short hair. Once you get home, wash it and wear it for a day or two you sometimes discover something needs adjustment. Especially with hair like mind which is thick, wiry and full of weird cowlicks.) When I first began working with Evelyn, I took advantage of her free adjustments quite a few times, and together we learned exactly what works best for me. She was always gracious, generous and easy-going about it, and could fit me in at my convenience. Now my haircut appointments are quick and fun, and the cut is perfection every time. Evelyn has been with me through lots of life events -- including some that involved hair loss! -- and has helped me look and feel my best the whole time. I first met Kathleen, owner of The Parlour in Broomfield, in 2009 when she worked at their Boulder location. I followed her when she opened the Flatiron location. Kathleen first demonstrated her exceptional skills when I told her I needed to cover my graying hair. My sister had an attractive burgundy tone to her hair that she said was a "glaze." Kathleen mixed a beautiful dark chocolate color glinting with highlights that I love. I was tired of taking over 45 minutes to style my hair (because I disliked layers), so I asked Kathleen to come up with a style herself. I announced that at my appointment with no warning. I didn't care for layers because in my experience, they always became unattractive and difficult to control. Kathleen is an expert hair-styling artist. She created a soft, pretty haircut for me, with layers that don't stick out and look messy. She is very attentive to detail, rechecking the length and evenness with a mirror. It now takes less than 30 minutes to blow dry and style my hair. I love it and so does my husband! The Parlour in Broomfield is an attractive and comfortable salon with an industrial vibe. Everyone is friendly, efficient and professional. I love the scalp and neck massages they give me during shampoos. They give outstanding service. I have been to this salon several times. This visit is not the first time they've messed up my hair but this was the worst. I went in for color and wanted a strawberry blonde with blonde highlights. My stylist and I were clearly not on the same page and I felt worried about it but didn't listen to my gut feeling. That was a mistake. She turned my hair orange. I expressed that I didn't like it while still in the chair and she told me to try looking at it in different lighting. I went home and looked at my hair under several different types of lighting. It was orange and awful, nothing like what I asked for. I called the next day as soon as they opened to talk about how much I disliked it. They had me come in that day and I told them to just get me as close to my natural color as possible because I didn't trust that they could get me what I actually wanted. They charged me to do this. Over the weekend I spent $400 for them to ruin my hair. The color is still not right. I can still see the hideous orange coming through in what they've done. My stylist had the nerve to look me in the eye and tell me, "I did what you asked me to do." No, you absolutely did not. No one asks for orange hair. read more

I've been to this salon a few times previously. But today I had an amazing experience with Kathleen. No haircut for six months, but she got it back to its normal style wonderfully. AND she got the color I've always wanted--a gentle ash blonde that works beautifully with the gray that's coming in. Usually I've gotten a brassier, harsh color. I was at a wedding in Boulder, and while my husband was off being a super handsome groomsman, I had some time to kill and I decided to see if anyone could fit me in for a last minute simple updo before the big event. I must have called 15 places, but the Parlour Flatirons made space to squeeze me in. I was worried that I would end up cutting it too close, but the stylist named Cynthia who did my hair not only did a fantastic job, but she had the whole updo done in around 15-20 minutes. I was so impressed and so pleased. I got a ton of compliments on my hair, and really felt like a million bucks. The salon itself was really gorgeous with a rustic modern vibe, and I was offered a drink upon checking in, and again by the Cynthia when she took me to her station. I have been seeing Becca now for almost four years I think! She first cut my hair in the A-line bob when it was really popular about four years ago and I think she does this cut better than anyone else. Since then I have grown out my hair out and she does just as great of a job making my thin hair look full. As for coloring, she gets it right every time. My hair sometimes gets a brassy look and not once has it looked that way since she has been my stylist. I highly recommend her to anyone! Had a haircut and highlights from Keyano. He was the absolute rudest stylist I have ever had. My haircut and partial highlights were completely repulsive. I left unhappy, but did not want to have Keyano continue working on it as he was extremely unpleasant. I literally wanted to cry from the disastrous state my hair was left in. I scheduled for a redo of the haircut because I could not wear my hair down for a week because it looked so bad. Hair cut was redone,but because Keyano cut it so short in some places, it still looks weird. Did not have time to redo the highlights before going on vacation. But they are nowhere near the roots. I specifically let Keyano know that this was something really important to me. So $165 later and I have hair that is too embarrassing to wear down! Had a last minute cancellation at beauty box and was looking in the area and got lucky when I called the Parlour, Julia also had a cancellation. I wanted to do a color correction but I knew being the day of and last minute that might not be an option. I went in and after a quick consult with Julia we decided on all over color with some highlights so that next visit we could do a balayage. She was extremely patient and professional, got a drink while she colored away. She took her time and even wanted to curl my hair after for a finished look, but because it took 3.5 hours I had to run and couldn't let her finish the styling. She was very kind and thorough!! She used a treatment after the color, and cut my hair with long layers and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! I will be back in 6 weeks to finish with a balayage. I'm getting engagement pictures done next week and I don't know what I'm gonna do because it is something you can't really fix when you have short hair. I don't want it any shorter! I can't believe they charge $51 when she can't even cut hair straight! definitely didn't follow directions when I said I want just a light dusting off the ends and not to cut any layers!
