The procedure was a bit painful for me (I'm a wuss!) but afterwards they put some cooling fans on my face and red light treatment to help with the sensation. I used the recommended aftercare kit, a few days after the procedure my skin was no longer red and after about 5 days most of the rough patches were gone. A week later my skin is smooth, tight, lifted and my pores and fine lines are almost invisible. I think it took 10 years of aging and damage off my face, my skin is incredible and I can't remember the last time it looked like this. If you're on the fence about Tixel just do it, it's worth it! I've also gotten a facial from Teri and Dysport from Christy in the past, both were amazing experiences. Have my next facial and Dysport booked and can't wait! Their prices are competitive and the staff is the best around. I recommend Elysian to anyone looking for some much needed pampering for themselves. Once I started talking with Ruby about what I wanted, I ended up changing my mind and decided to go with acrylic instead. Ruby was extremely helpful and explained the differences between dip and acrylic based on the look I wanted. Any other questions I had about pricing for the length, shape, color, and design were answered thoroughly, so I knew exactly what I was paying for before we started. For reference, I asked for acrylic French tip nails. Presented in the photos, I got acrylic nails, Natural 1 base ($50), with white gel French tips ($15). I also got tips added to my natural nails, but there was no additional charge since I did not get them super long. For shape I chose narrow square, which also did not cost extra. Total was $65, plus tip. Ruby was very intentional throughout the entire appointment and took her time. She was careful with my nail prep, did not nick/cut me at all, made sure I liked the length of my extensions, asked which base color I preferred, and did a sample French tip on the nail first to make sure the French tip design was exactly how I wanted it before continuing on. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with how my nails turned out and with my entire experience. Finding a new nail salon after going to the same place for years made me nervous, but Ruby and everyone at Milano made the experience easy and comfortable. The experience was amazing. They were bringing drinks back to back and the mimosas were wonderful. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. As for the durability, my nails did start to lift after nine days. I had some lifting on two nails, and my sets usually last me a full month.
