My last visit they messed up my nails and pedicure and gave me a gift certificate for the error. I blame myself for returning, but I had hopes that maybe it would be different. I went for a normal dip and pedicure for before my birthday. It was empty on a Saturday morning this should have been my first sign. I walk in to no one. The lady doing my nails was rushing and insisted on me getting dip, even asking for a tip. I explained I didn't want tips because I'm growing my nails out and showed her a picture. Before the dip, I told her one of the nail shapes was crooked. She said no worries I will fix later. Later comes, and the pics attached are what I ended up with. I started crying in the chair out of frustration and the fact that now I have to go to another place to have them fix this. Additionally, the nail tech NEVER asked what shape I wanted, she was rushing through just to get finished. They didn't offer me water or wine like the old manager did. With no other option, I decided to try out my friend's lash tech. That same night, I booked an appointment for the next day in the late evening. The day quickly approaches. Before even stepping foot within her studio, I received a reminder of my appointment via email and text message. Throughout the process, Kalyn (lash tech) was in close connection with me. Fast-forward, I'm sitting in her chair about to pass out (yes, the chair is really that comfortable), and Kalyn pulled out a book. This book is actually one of the reasons I decided to come back, as I never had a lash tech consult with me before about my set. Due to it being my first time as a client with her, she consulted me. She went through my allergies, goals, expectations, proper lash care, lash strength, duration, the process, concerns, and questions I had, and noted the products and set used. She then topped it off with a lash bath. Yes, ladies, a free LASH BATH. The atmosphere the entire time was calming and relaxed. Kalyn was able to successfully change and flip between conversations and quietness with no awkward silence. My lashes turned out beautiful. They were full, curly, and light (which was odd because I booked the mega volume). After my service, she addressed comfort within a lash set, the duration of lash, lash care, refills, and follow-up. Lastly, when it was time to go home, she walked me down just for her to return back to her studio. The next day, she followed up with the status of my lashes. My experience has been like no other. She is one of a kind. Kalyn is so good at her craft and puts forth 130% each time. Being a client of hers has been an amazing experience. Ladies, when I tell you, she is punctual, honest, humble, kind, patient, and communicative, I mean it. She explains things so thoroughly that she adheres to clients who have never gotten extensions before. Even as an OG, I was able to see firsthand the incredible knowledge she holds. What wanted me to try them wasn't just the deal but the use of UV glue that it would provide longer lasting lashes. I was having issues with retaining my lashes as they've probably been weakened over time and tried all ways to strengthen and retain. Even took a break from refilling. I also wore goggles in the shower since I love hot showers, thinking the glue was melting. It felt like I was really wasting money but then i saw the ad for Lotus. With the glue Lotus uses with UV technology, I didn't have to do all that or worry. So I gave them a try. The lashes really did retain for 3-4 weeks by 80%. I spent a week in Cancun in the sun, pool, beach and they retained 100% the whole week. I've had services from both Linda and Jennie. They are so nice and receptive to feedback. Any issues I had, they were able to accommodate. The studio is in a building with other businesses. When I first booked, they sent me photos of the building and where to enter to locate the studio. Very nice of them to ensure I got there! They would also offer if I wanted to use a blanket during the session but so far, the temp has been comfortable for me. The session can be 1 to 1.5 hrs. I actually bring my headphones and listen to an audiobook while they apply the lashes. I love the fact I don't need to wait 24hrs to shower. They lashes do last. Making an appointment and checking availability on their website is so easy. Deposit is required. I highly recommend Lotus lashes. The retention is so worth it and i feel like I get the value out of my money and time. I was losing my hope of getting lash extensions but Lotus brought it back.
