9 days into the extensions and they're almost all gone, including my own lashes! My lashes are ruined after getting eye lash extensions here. It was my first time coming to this location based on local mom reviews. The service was extremely quick which was the first red flag. I got eye classic lash extensions, eyebrow wax and henna tint and everything was done in less than 1 hour. I was told not to wet my face for 48 hours and no contacts. Which I followed. That night some lashes started to shed. After the 48 hours I washed my lashes with lash foaming wash and a special brush for this. I used a fan and the brush they gave me to brush/ fluff them out. Many lashes came off that day. Every single day lashes come off which is to be expected but my own lashes are also falling off with them and now my own lashes are almost non existent. I have never had this happen at other salons. I know lashes are supposed to fall off but not at this level. Definitely not going back and I do not recommend. read more

I wanted to update that this issue is now in both eyes. I don't believe it's an allergic reaction. My eyes are generally ok as long as it doesn't feel like some left over debris isn't falling into them. But now it's in both eyes and now I'm waking up with both eyes stuck together and red. My eyes are insanely dry, have gone through 2 bottles of eye drops. Booked a 30 minute mini facial here, and it was relaxing and rejuvenating. I loved the products that they used as the scents were not as overpowering and very gentle. Troy is the massage therapist on site, and he also does the mini facials, in which he incorporated a great facial massage with the products used. The mini facial would be beneficial if you need to help clear out your sinuses due to chronic allergies. Win-win! I took away a star due to the towel and head band wrap being dirty when I walked in initially, but they did change it out for me upon request. I gave City Glow (Katy) 1 star for several reasons, but I'll only give one in this review. The lashes are okay, but not worth putting up with the lash technician ignoring my appointment. My appointment was made for 3:45pm. I scheduled a two-week refill (but after re-looking at my lashes I probably needed a new full set.). Also I want to mention that I always tip above 20%. This would have been my third time going. I pulled up at 3:44pm, and I saw Yelena the lash tech sitting in the lobby talking to a blonde haired woman through the huge glass windows. I thought she was waiting for me, since my appointment started in one minute. As I'm approaching the front door, Yelena and the blonde haired woman stand up and walk toward the room where I normally have my lash service. I checked in with the receptionist at exactly 3:45pm. He told me that Yelena was with another client and she would be ready in 5 minutes. I waited outside in my car for 10 minutes before leaving. It was obvious that Yelena has chosen to take another appointment (spray tan to be exact) one minute before my appointment was scheduled to start. Then the receptionist had the audacity to tell me that I was going to be charged a $50 cancellation fee. Even though he was there when I checked in after he watched Yelena take another client during my appointment time. I told him why I should not be charged the fee, and he said he understood. But he was not clear on if he still plans to charge me. Normally, I only have to wait a few minutes while Yelena finishes a client. Never have I been asked to wait while another client is completely booked at my appointment time. The lack of consideration and professionalism is a problem for me. I want to know that when I make an appointment, it will be honored. Lash Studio in Cinco Ranch does pretty good lashes, and they have more than two lash techs. Meaning, they have plenty of available appointments, and do not need to overbook. I was able to get an appointment same day, and my lashes look great! read more

Getting back to school ready with a new set of Hybrid lashes. The facility is modern chic and very clean. I was welcomed by friendly staff (Aly), and headed to the powder room to prep my skin (makeup remover provided). My lash artist assessed my needs, answered all my questions, and so super gentle!! I have sensitive skin plus really short, curly naturals lashes. The adhesive used didn't irritate me at all. I was so relaxed that I fell asleep (I had shared that I've had back issues, and she used a wedge that was divine). Tel did an amazing job! I LOVE my lash extensions Looking forward to my next visit. With these places on every corner, staff should be on top of their customer service and know how to make their clients relaxed and comfortable while being serviced. Yelena made quite a few comments about my appearance that were inappropriate, to the point where I had to say something to her in the middle of my appointment. She blamed it on her culture..? Horrible eyebrow henna tint done by Kate Tran. I could've filled my brows in with a sharpie and the results would've been better. My brows are uneven, sloppy and looks at least 4 weeks old (even though this picture was taken 5 minutes after my services was completed). The waxing service was rough and irritated my skin. This place is overpriced and hyped. $200 for lashes???? $150 as a new customer??? I'm giving this place one star because I really like the way Yelena did my lashes. I came here twice and never wanted to come again , definitely didn't feel relaxed because she kept talking about my blackheads being so bad the entire time asking me if I ate a lot of greasy foods I told her "no not really I mean sometimes I'll order a pizza though!" My spouse received eyelash extension services but experienced a combination of an eye infection and an allergic reaction, which caused her to miss work and additional medical expenses. While there is a disclaimer about allergic reaction and no refunds, I do feel like some due diligence is needed by City Glow such as patch testing before services are performed or indicating the elements that are identified as potential allergens. I feel it is irreesponsible to pay such a large amount of money for a service, then have the additional medical expenses, without City Glow taking any responsibility or even offering a substitute for the turmoil. While I know others won't have the same scenario, I do want other consumers to be aware in the event something happens that nothing will be done. I've been Yelena's client for at least two years. She is a great specialist and an amazing person! She has been taking care of my eyelash extensions and waxing. I always get compliments when people see my lashes! They look very natural and I don't even feel I have them on. Also, I'm very happy with my waxing services. I have a very light, blond, thin hair and I often was dissatisfied with waxing services received from other salons because they were always rushing and left some areas untreated.
