I was greeted by a friendly "tan-tendant" who was more used car saleswoman than a tanning expert! Despite my extensive tanning expertise, as an NPC bodybuilder with years of tanning hours under the hot lights, the attendant seemed to know less about tanning than I know about quantum physics. She was clueless about everything except how to peddle overpriced tanning lotions. When I asked about Melanotan Peptides or the impact of tanning while on them, she stared at me like I'd just asked her to solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded. Shouldn't someone who works in a tanning salon have basic knowledge on the latest topics related to the business? How do you keep patrons safe? And the pièce de résistance? She attempted to sell me a five-minute tan for nearly $80! That's right, folks, eighty bucks for five minutes. I'd pay that much to skip a line at Disneyland, not to get a hot flash under some mediocre bulbs with a ketchup packet-sized sample of tanning lotion. All in all, I felt like I was being pickpocketed one dollar at a time at this tanning salon. If you're into timeshare-level sells pitches, then this is definitely your spot. But if you want quality tanning without a student loan price tag, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. I walked out of this place without tanning and I'm never coming back. It was a seamless process to get my account froze which I really appreciated. Like I said, I recently unfroze my account so I could start tanning again before summer gets here. The assistant manager was really friendly and helpful when getting my account unfrozen. I have never experienced any issues at Palm Beach Tan and they are always friendly when I come in. She said that products purchased off site could be counterfeit and likely have had alcohol added to the bottle to increase the column. I order my lotions directly from the manufacturer. Furthermore, can you imagine rubbing down with a heavily alcohol laden product and getting into a level 4 tanning bed. Does not sound like fun to me. There was one across the street which wasn't so great, and now it seems to be closed down, possibly permanently... this one is still going strong. So definitely a 5-star rating, although the original Darque Tan that was here, completely lied to me and screwed me out of nearly $100. PBT is a slightly less shady company (I hope) and so far things have been going well with them. And if you want somewhere a little bit more fruity that will stain your clothes white, go instead to Plum Bleach Tan.
