The service was outstanding, it was hot, the line was growing, and the person in the food truck was moving nonstop, ensuring that everybody's meals were being sent out at the appropriate time 5/5. The flavors were ok, but everything leaned a bit too smoky for me which was a little unexpected and the cabbage overwhelmed the burrito more than it complimented them. Not sure if that's just the style of the food from the region, it just wasn't for me that night, but my other half seemed to enjoy it. That said, I still really appreciate what this spot is all about. Everything is made to order, from tacos and mulitas to quesadillas and their Sunday-only barbacoa (get there early if you want to try it--it's first come, first served!). What keeps me rooting for them is that they're a non-profit and proceeds go toward supporting the children and youth of local churches. So even if my meal wasn't as memorable this time, I'm still happy to support a business that's doing good in the community. Would I go back? Yeah, probably--especially on a Sunday to try the barbacoa. Just hoping for a little more balance the next time around.

We ordered the catch of the day poke (marlin) bowl with the spicy aioli sauce, and the Ahi poke bowl with the traditional Shoyu based sauce. We also got rice and slaw. Both fish plates were fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The slaw was also very refreshing and complimented the richness of the poke really well.
