Food is great (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), gelato amazing. I also got sandals here that are the best pair I've ver had. This was a gem the whole time we were there. Very thankful they made this place. It's awesome!

I cannot tell you how top tier this place is. My group of 9 visited Island Gourmet 3 times in our 3…read moredays here in Maui. In the back, you will find a food court with endless options, whether you grab what is already laid out or order fresh off the menu. I had the California roll twice, and the rice was so soft with a perfect rice-to-filling ratio, easily the best California roll I have ever had. I also tried the BBQ flatbread, which was pretty good. Ordering off the menu was also a great option. I got the fried rice and galbi, which came with sides and were all delicious. One thing my friend could not stop talking about was the poke, which was slightly on the spicier side but fresh, soft, and very tasty. This place has it all, and you really cannot go wrong. It might be a bit more on the expensive side depending on what you get, but it is pretty in line with the rest of Hawaii's pricing. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You can also grab groceries and snacks while you are there.

Kahului (Maui) Whole Foods Salad Bar…read more I shop at Whole Foods regularly. This time I had to pop in for a salad. I had a huge dinner the night before and was determined to keep it small and cheap. I used the small box. What I put in: Spinach and Romaine Sprinkle of corn Touch of celery Sprinkle of black beans Small pieces of broccoli Small olives and 1 reg size About 4 small cubes of baked chicken breast About 3-4 cubes of sweet potato A few pieces of sliced mushroom No salad dressing (I had my own) I was amazed at the price since I usually end up at $20-30. It priced out at half a pound and $6.50. I came away with a sense that I'm getting more value at Whole Foods, since I spend at lot here. I'm not usually this frugal, but kind of experimented to see if I can be satisfied with a small salad with a lot of my favorite ingredients. I'm sure there are plenty of salad bar practitioners that have done this

I told him I purchased oysters and had them shuck it as recently as two days ago and also a few times in the recent past. He still declined to shuck. I walked up to another Whole Foods employee and asked to speak with a Supervisor and she referred me to Emma. I spoke with Emma and shared my recent expereince and she too was unwilling to help in any way. I was shocked at the very poor customer service. I have never experienced such poor service from any Supermarket or any business.

Just a short drive from Ka'anapali, in the town of Kapalua…read more Its the expanded version of ABC store that has coffee and hot food. Is this the sister location to ones in Ko'Olina? Got all your goodies, drinks and food. Their Ube malasada was so good. Chewy with lots of flavor. Also got there breakfast specials which will fill you up at good price. Gotta have the rice and eggs with spam! Nice patio just outside, plenty of parking and also clean restrooms.

Heard about the taro mochis here so decided to come get it out. The whole store is actually an abc…read morestore but it has a bit more food items- like a deli, drinks and smoothie station, bakery etc. nice that they have a lot of food items. So actually the mochi is not really a mochi. It is a pastry that has mochi in the middle. And it's not taro. It's ube. So they have Hawaiian ube donut (sugar covered balls) 2/3.00 or regular Hawaiian donuts. They also have the ube mochi pastry and they have these huge ube breads. Honestly, I didn't like any of them. The big breaded thing was too Bready, the mochi pastry was a little much dairy taste, and the ube Hawaiian donut balls didn't taste like anything except a regular donut that was purple... the dragon fruit smoothie we had which was plant based was too sweet. If you order that, and you don't like it too sweet, I would ask them to make it half as sweet. So, we were all in all a little disappointed as we were hoping to find some good Hawaiian treats but I guess we can try another place.
