Matus windows and doors is located in Glenside Pa. They put my windows in my home a few years ago and did a great job! I decided to go there to look for a new front door. I wanted not just a replacement, but one that would fit properly with insulation all around. Going to the show room was a pleasant experience. Everyone used social distancing and wore masks. They also have to buzz you in because they only allowed so many people into the store. I found a door that I loved and the sale consultant, Michael was very nice and informative. We booked a day and time for him to come to my home and to get the measurements and make the final decisions about the colors and door handles that we were choosing. He gave me a catalog to take with me to help me make my final decision. Michael came on time and again going over every detail with us and then took the measurements. He sent us a detail price of the hold job by email. We agreed with the contract, went to the showroom, paid 20% down. The balance is to be paid in full when the job is complete. The doors are custom made for you with your choice of stains and takes about a month. I was trying to get this before the winter season, so this was perfect timing. The doors finally was done! I'm so sorry that I can't remember the gentleman that installed the door, but he was great! He took my existing door out, to the brick! Giving it the insulation that it needed so badly! I could not believe that one person could handle that big heavy door by his self! When he was done he cleaned up everything too! From start to finish, it took about 4 1/2 hours. I was very pleased. He was very professional and just the right amount of friendly :) Matus is not the cheapest place, but if you are looking for quality, I would highly recommend Matus windows and doors. read more

Eh. Sold and installed a drafty door. I decided to invest more into the main entrance door thinking the more I spent, the better quality I would have and the door would have NO DRAFTS!! I didn't buy the most expensive door but heck it wasn't the cheapest and could've spent far less money on the same quality door and installation or maybe even spent less on better quality if I used a popular big home improvement store. I complained. Sure they were responsive. Tried to fix it with some patches that never worked. Claimed maybe I was closing it wrong. (No). Had to spend MORE money on draft stoppers that barely work. To spend any more money on a door that I put this much money into Is I find unacceptable. Idk maybe they're window people and their windows are better read more

The Matus team was great to work with. The windows were provided on time as agreed. The installation was done well. When I had concerns, the Matus team was quick to address them. Prior to completing the work, the installers walked me through and addressed any items I brought up (example: a request to touch up some caulking). When I had a concern after they left, they promptly returned and addressed it. Part of the reason I went with Matus was their reputation for service. Very sorry to find out that Matus "no longer does small orders." I'm looking to have a custom, wooden casement window built and installed in my house in the Wyncote historic district. I was clear that I was okay with waiting until next spring or summer for delivery and installation. The Matus salesperson stated that they were not interested in such a small job. Bought a high end window from Matus some years ago ( today's price would be about $6 -7 K), which I would consider a lot of money. While the window was quite expensive I felt I was buying a lifetime investment. After some years, I detected the window was getting water damage and I became very concerned about how to remedy this before the window got further deteriorated and would need to be replaced. So I turned to Matus for help to correct the problem on the product they were the exclusive distributor on and protect my investment. I figured they were the experts as they sold and installed the window and after all this was their sole business, so who better than they to address this. Was no problem to have a phone call with them to discuss theoretical solutions which were not based on any inspection of the window, that "I" could pursue - basically these were elementary suggestions only intended to get off the phone call. However I asked if they could send an experienced person over to see what was causing the issue and identify a fix before it got any worse - I was not asking that they do this for free. The response from both Matus brothers was that they were booked for "at least" the next 10 - 12 months and out of the question that they could send anyone over for this. But I could get a "handyman" to look at it - "really" ? show me a handyman who is familiar with the details of a $6k integrated window assembly that you would entrust a repair to and I will show you somebody who is in the wrong business. Needless to say I was quite disappointed in the complete lack of customer support and service from Matus. What I learned with this company is that if all you are looking for is to buy and install a window and nothing more, then you can probably put them on the list for a quote, but they are good sales people. On the other hand, if you believe that after spending thousands of dollars your business deserves a follow on commitment should a problem arise ( which no doubt it will), then this is definitely not the company for you. It's clear that they have absolutely no interest (probably not enough money in it for them) in doing any "repair" work on the windows they sell no matter how much you spend - but I am sure they will be happy to sell you a new one!! Conclusion - I went to another dealer for support who also sells this line window and they could not have been more helpful. The window was repaired although I still do not know what the root issue of the water damage was in the first place, but I can limit it down to either a window design/build issue or an installation defect, or perhaps both.... my advice, is to look around, there are much better companies than Matus out there who stand behind their service and products when problems arise, which they no doubt will at some point. read more

I just had all my windows replaced--a huge investment--but I can already feel how much cooler my house is! I usually have to keep my AC at 68 but now it's at 70. The new windows and screens look so much better and the guys carefully rehung all my blinds, shades and curtains. Nice crew--they worked through 95 degree heat and a rainstorm for 2 days. I am writing this review as they are finishing the installation of new windows and doors for my house. These guys are professional and offer quality work. They made sure everything is protected before they start the installation project and worked efficiently. They took one day to completely remove, install and finish all of my windows and doors. The guys were courtesy and made sure to clean up after their work. The products they offered were great and provided great insulation (this was tested as they closed the windows and doors during rush hour on a busy street!!!) I was very impressed with their quality of their work and would recommend them in a heartbeat! read more

I had security storm doors installed and they didn't do a good job on one of them. I sued them and had a judgment awarded to me. The owner said at that time that he wasn't going to pay me anything which he hasn't. The court awarded me the judgment at the end of June, 2014 and I haven't received the money. The company cannot be trusted. read more

I do not recommend this company for windows. If the windows or installation do not turn out to be defective, then this company is fine; but unfortunately you won't know until it's too late. EVERY company should be pleasant and clean during installation (they shouldn't get extra stars for that), but how they stand behind their product is the true test of integrity and how to measure a business. We had water leaking just a week after installation. They came out to look 'fix' it but never resolved anything except having us replace our entire roof prematurely and do unnecessary brick-pointing on the house (which we did because we trusted them). When they had nothing else to blame, they stopped caring about their defective product. This one large window ended up costing us many thousands of dollars simply because they would NOT accept that the window was defective in some way and they would not replace it. I am disappointed in the negative reviews because my experience with Matus was quite positive. I've had my new window for over a year now. A salesman came out to give me a quote for a new sliding window. He took some measurements, asked a few questions and that was it. His estimate came in under two others by a good amount. No high pressure sales here either. I went into their store location just to see a few examples. Even though I was pretty sure I knew what I wanted, a tactile example was also helpful. I made a small change, they pulled out my quote and I put down a deposit. I don't recall how long it was but it took some time to schedule the installation. To me, this is a sign they are busy which is a good thing. The installation guys were on time and very friendly. They took the old, broken window out and put the new on in under an hour. In and out, here is the balance due, thank you very much. The quote was exact and I was not charged anything additional. About a month after installation, there was an issue with the locks not lining up correctly. I sent a photo to the salesman, someone called me back a day later, and they were out quickly in order to fix it. After that adjustment, everything is working fine. Called Matus to repair window they installed 9 years ago. Was quoted $125 to come and look at window, and told parts were probably no longer available. I sent photos of problem area and did not have a reassuring feeling that (he) knew what the problem was. (Broken coil balance). I found parts on line for under $10 and will have my handyman do the repair. read more

So very happy with the patio window installation that was done in 2016. Enclosed my three season patio. But what has me writing this review is the follow up service. Heat and cold did some damage to a cap on the outside. I called this morning. Was told that someone would call and they would have someone out this week. They came today and already fixed by 2pm. So awesome! Nice friendly guys too!! If I ever need to redo windows in my home or do another project - I am calling these guys again!!!! read more
