When I called Alderfer's about this, they said that it is caused by using Windex that contains ammonia, and that I should change to ammonia-free Windex. What?!? They never gave that warning when they installed the mirror, and it sounds ridiculous to blame it on a cleaning product! They also installed a new pane of glass in the sidelight window next to my front door, and when they removed and reinstalled the wood frame, they left a mess on the exterior -- bulging nails, chipped paint, etc. Not good.

Sending pictures to the company, they refund my money. I decided to get the mirror repaired instead of throwing it out if it costed the same or less than the purchase price. I called Ogontz Glass and Mirror to see if I needed to make an appointment ( because of the pandemic). Roberto said to just bring it in, but to call first, just to make sure someone is there. I took it in the next day. He gave me the price and needed 50% down. Then he said, " it was cash only"! I said, "why didn't you tell me that on the phone"! He said " because he feels it is very unprofessional to say over the phone". I didn't debate with him, luckily my husband had the money on him. ( This is why I took a star away). He did give me a fair price, which was half the price of the mirror. He also said to call in one week. When I called it was not ready. It turn into 3 weeks before it was finally done :( I must say, it was worth the wait though! The mirror came out beautifully and for half the original price.
