In addition, staff nicked the finish as I watched (too small to photograph) by using a screwdriver to lift the glass top for transport. I am really sad and disappointed. I won't go back. If you choose to use this company be prepared to do very detailed supevision of your property and be prepared for damage that will not be easy to repair.

When I called Alderfer's about this, they said that it is caused by using Windex that contains ammonia, and that I should change to ammonia-free Windex. What?!? They never gave that warning when they installed the mirror, and it sounds ridiculous to blame it on a cleaning product! They also installed a new pane of glass in the sidelight window next to my front door, and when they removed and reinstalled the wood frame, they left a mess on the exterior -- bulging nails, chipped paint, etc. Not good.

I took it in the next day. He gave me the price and needed 50% down. Then he said, " it was cash only"! I said, "why didn't you tell me that on the phone"!
