Stopped here again and Todd was great! So excited to be able to order lunch at breakfast! We shared a tuna salad sandwich with chips and it was delicious! And we made the most wonderful memories with fellow travelers!

Waited 34 min for a burrito and the other customers also waited 30 plus minutes for their food. I asked to see a manager and the reason given was their ticket system wasn't working but the front counter person was asking about our orders continuously. Once I spoke to the manager, the order came out quickly but, in an obvious attempt at retribution for me asking about my order, the cooks put an insane amount of jalapeños in my burrito. It was half the contents of the burrito. Poor experience.

Located at Sky Harbor Airport, Matt's is a great place for quick pre-flight drink or meal. Service is fast and pleasurable. Accessible seating.

2-egg breakfast with the upgrade to ham steak.

The food here was QUITE GOOD! Like, a good breakfast-- not a good airport breakfast but a genuine good breakfast! The upgrade to the ham steak was FAB! Eggs were perfect. Toast was super-tasty! The only thing that wasn't great was the service - slow to get a server, a little effort to pay. And they mostly want to cram you into high top shared seating but I get it-- they want to maximize the customers they can fit into their place. But the food was GREAT!!

This was an incredible and unexpected airport diner. Maybe the best airport breakfast I have ever experienced.. seated quickly, waitress was sweet, food was excellent. Place was busy but open space. I'd highly recommend if u have a layover and u need breakfast. A+

This is the spot for a really delicious & fancy drink after a night long red eye or before take off. We also grabbed some grub to go as this places can be really busy. I like the spinach egg white omelette best. Kiddo likes his waffles & sausage. They have sit down, take out, and a bar. The service can be slow during high peak times and the ladies do a terrific job with the amount of people packed into the place. During high peak times expect long wait times this is the main eatery for this wing at the terminal.

This is a good airport breakfast for sure. Busy, busy but friendly service, was seated quickly and had my drink fast. Bloody Marie was good and the breakfast was yummy. Had the Matt,s big breakfast. I'll go back for sure

    Todd, our awesome server

Stopped in for a quick lunch while waiting for our flight. The guys working behind the counter were so friendly and jovial that it instantly made me smile. We met a couple of others also stopping in and had such a fun time. Todd, our server, was very attentive and even offered to take a photo of us with our new friends. We ordered the Tuna Sandwich with Chips and it was delicious. I couldn't ask for better at an airport stop.

It's an airport restaurant. I work at the airport and understand it's busy, but it's always sub par. The food portions are small and overpriced. Wait staff are almost always overworked and quite "over it" If you get the steak, order it Rare, otherwise it's going to be jerky. Even then, it still might be This place is making money for sure, but it shouldn't be.

We have a two hour layover do we decided to eat breakfast at Matt's. I ordered the skinny breakfast, which is egg whites with Chicken apple sausage and spinach and a side salad. It tasted amazing . The portion was right, not too little and not too much food. The restaurant gets busy but the service is fast.

We love their food and service so much we asked if they would do us a favor and our son's Wedding and they agreed. Matt's Big Breakfast absolutely exceeded our expectations. The food was phenomenal from start to finish--crispy, perfectly cooked bacon, fluffy pancakes, and golden waffles that were rich, comforting, and done just right. The strawberry preserves paired beautifully with the warm sourdough toast, adding that perfect touch of sweetness and homemade flavor that sets a great breakfast apart. What truly made this experience unforgettable, though, was the customer service. A huge shout-out to Ernie and her incredible team, who went above and beyond while preparing an exceptional catered meal for our son's wedding. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made the entire process seamless and stress free, with the additional service when food was delivered and esured the setup of food was perfect and ready to serve. Ernie and team went way above our expectations and we received many compliments on the dinner/breakfast served through out the night. Thank you Ernie/Matt's Big Breakfast

The place was packed and the line was long. They moved everyone through very quickly. You sit at the table across from others in the restaurant, which was pretty unique. The food came out nice and hot and quickly. Waffle had a nice texture, slight crisp on the edges but more thick and cakey than I like vs light and fluffy.

The chicken tenders were fire!!! What is lacking on this occasion was service. The server that we had was so unattentative. I have never been in a cocktail lounge in my life and had to beg for drinks. Our server would wait until every drinks was made for all of her tables before bringing out drinks. It was ridiculous. She was nice but seemed high. I ended up only having 2 drinks. We would have ordered more but they have 90min max seating and we didn't event get drinks for the first 30min. No exaggeration. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The music, the atmosphere and the food was good. They gotta get these cocktails together and service. We ended up walking to nearby competitors and that was money lost for DDG.

If you're looking for free parking, you're going to have a long walk. Outside of that, you'll have to pay for parking in a garage or metered street parking. Ambiance (4/5): Hint hint. Idle Hands is located inside Devil's Hideaway. A true speakeasy shouldn't have signage outside indicating its location. Unfortunately, there's a sign for Idle Hands outside of Devil's Hideaway which takes away the sense of mystery and intrigue that a true speakeasy provides. Outside of this hiccup, it's a cool speakeasy. It's intimate, with 10 or so seats at the bar and about 10 seats in booths facing the bar. There's a projector screen behind the bar that had mystical motion graphics the first time I stopped by (thinking wizards) and Halloween motion graphics the second time (with it being a day before the holiday). There were some other Halloween decorations up. The only area of improvement? The music often doesn't match the vibe. A lot of the music they were playing on my last visit was Irish music that would be fitting for a pub. Service (4/5): I had the same bartender each time. He knows how to make a good drink and is pretty efficient. When you close out, he only gives you the merchant copy. Which is a pet peeve of mine. Let me get that customer copy too. But overall, a good experience. Especially at a college bar. Food (N/A): I've only had drinks both times. Idle Hands actually doesn't have food, but Devil's Hideaway does. And you're allowed to bring food from there into the speakeasy. Drinks (4.5/5): It's pretty surprising to see a speakeasy on a college campus. I was impressed with the creativity of the menu, both in terms of the ingredients used and the fusion of flavors. I've had a different cocktail each time, and they've all been great. My favorite was one served in a box filled with smoke. Talk about a cool presentation! The hallmarks of a solid speakeasy are elevated cocktails, nice ambiance (dimly lit), an intimate space, and mystery/intrigue. While the intrigue is lacking at Idle Hands, and the music can be improved, they hit it out of the park in the other areas. One of my favorite speakeasies I've been to in Phoenix (and surrounding areas). I am, after all, the self-appointed king of speakeasies. The king gives his stamp of approval.

I received five very small slices of apple, and when the plate was set down the waitress said she'd get more if needed. I later noticed I was charged $2 for an additional five slices, which together didn't even amount to half an apple. Ironically, the bread that comes with the dish would have been far more substantial. The burrata was fine, but nothing memorable. My friend ordered the chicken and brussels sprouts and didn't even finish it before having the plate taken away. The flourless almond cake was the star, a bit salty on its own, but with the ice cream and whipped cream it was a delightful combo which were the highlight. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.
