Everything went great until I had to take advantage of their "comfort exchange" program. On my initial visit, I let the sales rep talk me into buying the store brand mattress because it was cheaper than the one I was originally looking at and the sales rep hyped their "comfort exchange" program where I could swap it out for another mattress if it didn't work out for me. The store brand mattress was a piece of garbage and is starting to sag after only a month. When I tried to exchange it, the new rep at the store walked me through the process. Because, naturally, hey wouldn't give me a sales price on the replacement mattress, I ended up spending literally $100 less than if I had simply purchased both mattress outright. Not much of a savings. I decided that at least that was a hundred bucks less than if I went somewhere else and paid for the new mattress. Another bad mistake on my part. It's almost two weeks later now and after repeated calls since paying for the second mattress I haven't even been able to get them to schedule a delivery yet. I keep getting told I have to wait until "they" call me back to schedule. Today I was told there is absolutely nothing I can do to get this moving forward except for wait for "them" to call me. read more

Khan was absolutely amazing! He was extremely helpful and kind! Not once did I feel like I was being scammed or taken advantage of! He was also very patient with me. He worked with me to find out what kind of mattress I wanted and the price range I was looking for. I had been to two other mattress stores that day and I felt like they were talking advantage of me. Also, they have a wonderful device called BedMatch which you lay on and get a wonderful read on the beat bed for you. Retry cool. Ineptitude is the base word for this business. Every single thing we asked for was ignored or we were lied to about. We were told what we wanted was in the store and then after we started to pay we were told it wasn't and we had to have it delivered. Then we were promised a delivery time which wasn't adhered to. Drivers following instructions, nope not at all. The customer service here is abysmal and inadequate. read more

I have had, and still having, the worst experience with this branch of Mattress Warehouse. After confirming the correct address to deliver to, which was on our sales slip, and four calls to upper management, as well as manager of the delivery service, day of delivery was trying to deliver to a completely different address. I have been waiting three weeks for a refund on an item I didn't get, and still nothing. Left voicemails, e-mails to no avail. Very unprofessional. We purchased a few items from the floor at the store, and the guys who loaded it into our vehicle broke the two wheels on our bed frame, but b/c it was on sale, it's buy as is and we were screwed at that point. I'm still waiting for over $500 refund that I have yet to get someone to reach back out to me on what is happening. Just super frustrated with the lack of service! read more

Best mattress store ever!! The computer which lets you tell it where you hurt is awesome. Helped my husband and me choose just the right mattress without having to try out dozens. I can't say enough good things about Kumar. I'm disabled and have challenging needs. He answered all my questions over the phone 1st (to save me a trip if necessary), found me the firmest mattress possible which I need, and even a low-rise box spring to help with getting in and out of bed. He worked with me on the price and even arranged delivery on the only day my work schedule would permit. Most of all, Kumar CARES. That's rare and should be rewarded with your business if you ever need a new mattress. Five stars because ten isn't possible! read more

We went in to the Mattress Warehouse on Eldon Street in Herndon to look at mattresses and came out very pleased with a luxurious new set of mattress and box spring. Mr. Kumar greated us cordially and helped us with the Bed-Match system, which measured our pressure points and led us in the right direction to find a mattress that would be a good fit for us. He invited us to try out all the different makes and types so we would know the differences and be able to tell what we liked best. He made us feel very much at home and comfortable and let us spent a long time trying out many of the beds. We felt no pressure to buy anything while we were there. We had no intention of actually buying that day, but we found a mattress we really liked, and he gave us a good price on it. The bed was delivered to us promptly the next day by a couple of very nice and well informed delivery men. They let us know when they would be coming, and alerted us again 30 minutes before they came. They pointed out that our old bed frame might not be strong enough to hold our new and very heavy mattress. So, we went back to Mr. Kumar's store and got a good deal on a very nice and sturdy bed frame. We were helped by his assistant, Nabil, who was very resourceful and accommodating and even helped us load the frame into the car. Overall, we were very pleased with the transaction and highly recommend this store. read more

What a disaster. I was looking for a bed for my 97 year old mother. I needed something was low to the ground. I brought the exact measurements and the salesman, Ali, assured me that the package I purchased would be that height. This was very important! My mother had slipped out of her bed, and I needed something that was low and safer. When the set was delivered it was an inch higher - a real problem. I called several times and was assured that the salesman would call me back. He never did. On the third call I reached him and he blasted me for complaining. In addition, the headboard was falling apart. Clearly shoddy materials and workmanship. I would never go there again. Not only was I disappointed because I didn't get what I paid for, the lack of basic decency surprised me. I don't see how they can stay in business. How hard would it have been to fix my problem? To care about a customer? It is a shame. read more

Purchased a queen boxspring here in Fall of 2011. At the time I was rather put off by the attempted up-sell because the box spring I was buying wouldn't "match" my current mattress (in terms of the fabric, cover, etc.). I really don't care, I use sheets, and it was for a secondary guest bed. Fast forward to yesterday, when I went there in search of a new mattress. The sales guy seemed helpful enough at first, asking some questions about what we currently had, thought we might want, and made some recommendations on which ones to check. But he then proceeded to follow us around from bed to bed, pestering us with questions. At one point, another customer came in and he was helping her. At this point, we decided to just start trying different mattresses to see what works. The sales guy came over a short while later and asked why we were laying on a certain bed because it "wasn't a pillowtop." I explained that we decided to just try out mattresses because we didn't like the ones he'd recommended. He scoffed at my explanation and basically told us we were just going to get confused. We continued on anyway, only to hear him a few minutes later from completely across the store, "Those are the foam mattresses. What are you over there for?" I'd almost had it at that point, but since we were already in the store and had a few that we liked, we opted to stay. I went back to the mattresses that we liked in order to take a pic on my phone of the tag, so we'd know which beds they were. I was immediately scolded (seriously, like a child) by the sales guy that I was not allowed to take pictures in the store. I tried to explain that I was just trying to keep track of what we liked, and that I'd just write down the names instead of taking pictures. He also said that I couldn't do that, and that I was not allowed to take any notes in their store. He said he would write down whatever I wanted as soon as he was done helping the other woman. He then lofted an accusation that we might be "from a competitor" and "trying to steal prices." I will never set foot in that store again. read more

The worst customer service experience I've ever had in a retail setting. The salesman was pushy and then became rude when I told him I was going to shop around a bit once he quoted me on a mattress that was in my price range. Turned around, walked away, and then became abrasive when I approached him and asked him if that was really his sales strategy, to walk away from a potential customer who said they were going to do their due diligence and check around before making a decision. I wish I had gotten his name and I would not have hesitated to drop it on this review. Regardless, I'll never step foot back in that shop, and wouldn't recommend anyone else do so either so long as he could potentially be working the floor. read more

I did a lot of research on local places (based on some bad reviews on several mattress chains in the area. We got a Stearns & Foster Bradenburg King Size from the store from Mattress Warehouse Herndon from Roy who negotiated a great discount for us. We almost bought from Matress Discounters in Herndon but are so glad we didn't cave in to the high pressured sales pitch and kept looking. The mattress was delivered the first day, with no problems and on time! The delivery people were very nice, delivered correct mattress with no problems. I was incredibly nervous about potential problems with delivery or quality of product (given so many reviews regarding this) but we have had NO problems at all in the past few months.
