Unfortunately had to get a new mattress. Time and sleeping in a small dip wasn't cutting it. We met Fred and from the start he was attentive, considerate and accommodating. He didn't sell. He listened to what I needed, took into account my price point and then made some suggestions. He encouraged my fiancé and I to try some different ones and when we found what we needed he tried to save us as much money as he could. I needed a specific delivery and he made sure that was taken care of. Everything he said he did. Everything he promised he delivered which is a rarity. The Delivery was just as smooth. They arrived during the assigned window. Only one guy came up. He set up everything as I asked, took my old mattress and off he went. Overall a great experience with a great staff. We were trying to get a bed for our empty house. I placed an order with white glove delivery. Days later I find out that the frame is coming Fed Ex. Fed Ex doesn't deliver to the house. And I can't manage setting up a frame or carrying a frame home from the depot. I tried to call to have the frame come with the bed, as I ordered. First, there is no number to call for the company, you must deal with their online chat. They could not do anything, and the frame had not even left them yet. I wanted to cancel the order, and they refused until I threatened a chargeback. Still haven't gotten a refund, and am sorry I every bothered with Mattress Firm now that I've read the reviews. read more

I would put a zero rating if possible. I had Gill, Manager who was really informative while in store and managed to find a great deal for my mattress, however the mattress was defected. After only 4 months my queen sized mattress began sagging. Thank god I paid extra for insurance because the manufacturing company was able to issue me a brand new mattress. What's frustrating is since I had to go through a whole ordeal of getting a new mattress so early into my purchase I figured i would take this opportunity to pay more money and upgrade to king size. The manufacturing company again great- was happy to do this transaction for me. In the end I was not able to do so as I had received a free adjustable base and mattress firm has a 0 returns or exchange policy on bases. As I understand the policy is what it is, there are always exceptions especially since there was the same ongoing promotion going on of offering a free base with purchase of new mattress. In this case, I was paying for a new mattress upwards of the minimum of $500. Here I was thinking I would spend more money at mattress firm, when in reality I shouldn't even be going through this in the first place. Let me be clear- I did not ask for my mattress to sag after only 4 months of using it. Mattress firm would not honor the current promotion and provide me a new base although I was spending close to another thousand on top of what I already spent. I wasn't asking for mattress firm to give me anything outside of what they were already doing. The end result was Gill was not able to assist me without me having to spend more money, although he consistently stated he sympathized and recognized my frustration he was not able to assist me when I needed help (when it really mattered) and was trying to make this a positive expierience. In addition, While trying to figure who to contact and ask for assistance or speak to a Mattress Firm about my questions, I came to find Mattress Firms numbers provided online are of no help as you can not speak with a human representative. I spent days trying to even figure out who to contact regarding my questions and my frustration. The cherry on top- I had to pay for taxes and delivery fee for a new mattress when I did not choose for this to happen. I should not have been penalized for receiving a faulty mattress. I wouldn't be surprised if defected mattresses are provided regularly. The customer service once you leave the store does not represent a company I want to purchase from ever again. She patiently worked with me to try many of the models in the store before I decided on which to buy. There was a small miscommunication about when my mattress would be delivered. However, a team of people from Sleepy's helped to fix the problem right away. Surprised but worst experience. Will never go to this store again. Went in and picked a expensive mattress and salesman did not know how to work the computer. He was too busy talking about himself to watch what he was imputing into the computer. Took FOUR tries to fill out the long form before he got it right (well we thought). Promised delivery next day. Went home and looked online at Sleepys.com and the price online was $100 LESS and he charged us delivery when it was FREE on their website! We called first thing in morning, back and forth with corporate and home store. Thought it was worked out (gave back money) and we waited for delivery for 4 hour window. Guess what? They cancelled delivery after corporate called to say everything is fine so no mattress for weekend. We are now waiting for the delivery again and phone rang and said they will be later than the 4 hour delivery window today! NOT HAPPY! PLEASE go in to look but then go home and price check and make sure they give you free delivery on receipt. You can not trust saleman to give you best deal, slimy.
