After touring eight mattress locations in Redding, California, I returned to work with Kori, an attentive, knowledgeable and even humorous sales associate. While working with Kori, he took the stress out of this somewhat trying undertaking. After all, how often does one purchase a new mattress? In my case, it had been 22 years! I'm extremely particular having worked with Neiman Marcus, a top-notch shopping experience. Save yourself all of the driving around and being given the run around by heading straight to Mattress Firm, next door to Roots Juice Bar on Churn Creek Road. Ask for Kori and let him know I sent you. He'll absolutely know who you're talking about and he'll roll out the red carpet for you. He'll even let you know when Mattress Firm is having its special discounts. Thank you, Kori, and Mattress Firm, too! read more

We originally purchased our mattress and adjustable base on 6/19/2020. Everything was good until our base broke two weeks ago. It has a two year warranty that we purchased! You are required to file a warrenty issue on line. Then they come back and tell you that even tho' the items states that it is a Mattress Firm 600 Adjustable Base, it is NOT a mattress firm product and so you have to find out who makes your base and contact them directly. I filled out the form, one week later they told me that the item didn't belong to them. I wrote them back and told them it was listed as a Mattress firm 600 and yes it did belong to them. There response was to contact this company, Leggett and Platt at this number.... We will see how that goes tomorrow. Knowing this, I will NEVER purchase from this company who will not assist you with your warranty for products that it sells under it's own name. The issue for me is how they pass the buck, won' t tell you anything until you push and you are left to fight for a $1200.00 item. read more

Buying a new mattress is a very stressful and complicated thing . Soo many different terms and unknown variables that a regular guy like me has no idea about . The store manager Jenny was very helpful in explaining what everything meant and really put my mind at ease when I was shopping for a new bed for me and my girlfriend. Was greeted with a smile and a nice joke when arriving which was a nice change of pace compared to the other stores I visited . Got a great deal on a top of the line Serta California king mattress . Talk about comfort ! Would recommend this place highly to anyone that enjoys the finer things in life. Good atmosphere, sales people, and products makes this place the ideal place to buy your new sanctuary of comfort. Go check it out if you are in the market ! read more

Husband and I went in to get a mattress for a spare bedroom and Matthew was able to assist us. We took advantage of a President's Day sale and got an adjustable bed and a twin mattress in addition to the queen mattress we came in for. Great customer service and we're happy with what we bought! read more

We have been doing business with Mattress Firm now for nearly 3 years and have had nothing but great experiences every time. They have been helpful, reasonable, cost-affective and accommodating with products and handling any issues with the products we purchased from them. The new manager is a Redding native and she was amazing and helpful! I would recommend them if you're considering buying a new mattress. read more

Deceptive sales tactics. We bought a mattress with a 90 (starting after you've used it for 30 days, 120 total) exchange policy. Sounds good so far; it did to us to. The mattress broke in very quickly and had a sag in the middle. No problem so far, we can exchange it for a better unit. Today we go in, test a few mattresses and decide on one that's on "clearance". Afy6et we left we're looking over the invoice and it says "pre-owned" not clearance. A call to the store and we find out "clearance" at Mattress Firm means used. Something that was deliberately left out. We know it's deliberate because the sales guy kept saying "yes it's used, we told you it was clearance". Even car dealers said "pre-owned" for used cars. Ok, so forget the used mattress, we'll pay the extra $$ for new, but wait there's more. Something else they don't tell you, sale prices are not honored on return credits. Meaning, if you have a return you have to pay full retail price and not the listed sale price. If they were upfront about their policies great, an honest business. But to prey on a market that makes a large purchase like this with deceptive business practices, shameful. read more

I bought two beds from Mattress Firm and my experience there was so favorable. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Joanna was very helpful and informative with assisting me to choose the right beds and provided flexible delivery options. I highly recommend choosing your bed from Mattress Firm because they are a company of people who do it right and care about the needs of their customers. Gloria Z. read more

100% RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE! I have had back surgery and have many struggles/ long nights and even longer days due to poor sleep. JEFF LISTENED. His extensive education on mattress and unique customer situations has absolutely changed our lives. I'm not just saying that. My husband and I work long hours and without the right mattress our energy levels dropped, our motivation and attention span dropped. JEFF compared all of our symptoms and needs, made recommendations and then went ABOVE AND BEYOND to follow up and continue to evaluate our responses to the mattresses we tried. We have finally found the one. With his guidance and expertise and the awesome customer service of mattress firm, I really feel hopeful for our future sleep:) not to mention the warranty! Oh my gaaaaassshh. Mattress firm is constantly having promotions that we were blown away by. My husband and I can't shout it out enough. Great company. Great people. great products. Great prices. read more

This was one of the easiest major purchases I have made in a long time. The sales people were all very knowledgeable and did not "make or try and force" me to buy anything. They have a beautiful showroom with all of the brands I had found on-line. They took the time to find the right mattress for my wife and I ( a Sleep Number) even looked at the sleep number website to make sure their price was lower. Delivered it the next day free of charge and removed my old set too! Definitely would recommend this store to anyone looking for a good nights sleep! read more

After our home burned, there was no doubt about where we'd get our next mattress: Mattress Firm. We went to the store in our new town and found Jonathan Thompson. After all we'd been through, we weren't thinking clearly and couldn't remember the model mattress we'd had before (also purchased through Mattress Firm, of course). Jon found the mattress model and the sheets, pillows, etc we'd had and loved. He locked us in at the sale price even though we couldn't take possession until we'd settled into a home of our own. Jon took care of us when we couldn't think clearly and was exceedingly patient and professional. Highly recommend Jon and Mattress Firm. We will never forget your kindness and professionalism, Jon! read more

My husband and I had a great experience here while purchasing our new bed. Lucius was our salesperson and he was super friendly, knowledgeable, and didn't pressure us into buying anything. We told him our budget and he showed us several different mattresses to choose from. After we purchased our bed, it arrived at our apartment the next day within the specified time frame. I highly recommend going here and will definitely be back next time I need a mattress. read more

We just came from here and Kevin was awesome! We needed a mattress--quickly--and were in and out in 15 minutes with all of our needs met. Highly recommend the place! read more

Ok... Just saying, the prices in there are sky high! Holy crud, I'm blown away that a mattress costs over a grand!

What a joke of a place. I bought my bed and was told it would be available for pickup in 3 days. When I left the store I received a call that it would now be 7 days. I agreed to wait the week since I already paid for it and didn't want to go through the hassle of getting my money back. On the 7th day I called because I did not hear from them. They told me it was available at the warehouse. They then called me right back saying it is showing 2 orders from me. One is paid for and one is not. (I only bought one bed). They said if I wanted my bed that day I would need to pay for it again and they would refund me once they figured out the mistake on their side. After a bunch of calls back and forth I picked up my bed on the 8th day. I will never recommend this place to anybody. read more

My husband and I have been needing a new bed for quite some time now and when I say need a new bed we were in desperate need of a new bed we both have had back surgeries and we did have a wonderful bed but that was 24 years ago when it was bought but needless to say we had put enough toppers on it and even put one of those bed in the boxes on top of our original mattress , and they only helped for a little while, and not having a lot of disposable income we have had to wait, we went just to look ,we were not optimistic because we had heard about the cost of beds These days and honestly we were a little frightened by it , when we walked in and were greeted by the store manager John Thompson ,who we cannot say enough about ,he was the opposite of a traditional salesman he seemed genuinely concerned not only with our comfort but our financial means , he respected the military service that our family has given and we enjoyed visiting with him, he's the kind of person you would want to be friends with ,by the time we had left we had not only purchased the bed that was best for our backs, but best for our wallet as well We just want to say thank you to John and the staff that was there ,everyone was very nice and genuinely made us feel comfortable ,it was not the experience we had expected but one we are grateful for and at 62 this is the first review we have written , we appreciate all the work that went into finding the perfect bed for us . We pray you have safe travels John , Thank You & God Bless You Earl & Vikki Welch read more

Great customer service. Beds are nice too. This is the second time i have needed to purchase a bed. I would recommend highly.

On Monday, April 13, 2015, my son (12) and I went to see if we could find him a new queen size been - he's had the same twin bed since he was 2. Although we didn't end up buying his new bed here -- I wanted to say what a wonderful experience we had with the sales person Jeffery White. This location has a great selection of beds at prices you would expect from the brands they carry. Jeffery was very informative and was not in any way one of sales people that try to pressure you into signing on the dotted line before you can get back out of the store. I would recommend them to friends and when I'm ready for a new bed - I'll be back. read more

I had an exceptional experience at this Sleep Train location! I came in hoping to gather information on mattresses/prices as I am moving to North Carolina for grad school in a couple of weeks. Store Manager, Jeff White, took the time to show me multiple mattresses and share his expertise, all while keeping the experience fun and entertaining (just ask him what happens when customers fall asleep while testing the mattresses out)! He got to know me to ensure I did not pick out a mattress too soft or too hard, and helped me quickly find what I considered to be the "perfect" mattress in the right price range for me. After hearing about my big move, Jeff looked into ordering the mattress online... only to find out there would be a ONE to FOUR week delivery window if done through the website. Not ideal. Without hesitation, he located an affiliate store of Sleep Train in Chapel Hill and found the exact same bed in the city I am moving to... meaning he would sacrifice the commission or any personal gain on the transaction all to ensure my needs (and sleep comfort!) were the top priority. Talk about going above and beyond the call of "customer service!" I walked out of Sleep Train with a brand new mattress purchased at the same low price quoted to me in the Redding store AND with a specific date and time of delivery to my new home. If the low prices, variety in mattress selection, and customer guarantees don't already get you through the door, having the opportunity to work with an expertly-trained and genuine sales representative like Jeff White should seal the deal. read more

My husband and I walked into Sleep Train dreading the usual barrage of aggressive sales' pitch, but instead were greeted by a smiling Lucius who listened to our needs (what a concept!). He considered our budget and began showing us the products available within that range cheerfully and without judgment, explaining the pros, cons and respective warranties We were looking for a bed for a guest room and on Lucius' suggestion of additional savings, chose a floor model. We have since googled the brand and model noting a significant savings. We slept on the mattress the first night to find out what our guests would experience and are very happy with our choice - Thanks, Lucius! read more

After visiting Sleeptrain and receiving mediocre service, we decided to visit Mattress Discounters. We were greeted by Lucius who was very friendly. He worked with my husband and I to find out what kind of bed we were looking for and kept in mind our price range. He didn't pressure us to buy a bed that we couldn't afford, in fact he worked with us and offered us different buying options to get us the best price. We appreciated his good sense of humor, helpfulness, and professionalism. Our bed was delivered for free two days later, and we have been sleeping soundly since. Thanks Lucius for a great buying experience! read more

For something as personal as a bed, I feel we got the best deal in town and better then the Internet going to mattress discounters. Thank you Lucius for making us feel comfortable with our purchase, this is the first time I've ever walked away happy and confident that I got a great deal and the perfect bed to sleep on. We got the bed we wanted at a price we could afford. Beds are expensive! But we were given options that lowered the bed into our price range no other retailer offered these type of options to us, to get us the bed we wanted. Very satisfied and confident with our purchase. read more

I purchased a bed and had to return it due to it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Unfortunately during this process I feel like I was dealt with unfairly by the store. When I purchased the bed I was told I had a 60 day satisfaction guarantee, well this is true but they left out the 10% restocking fee. Well for me this was an additional $300.00 dollar charge plus an extra $50.00 dollar delivery fee that I was not charged originally. $350.00 dollars to return my bed plus my additional upgrade charges as well. I called two local Serta dealers in town I and was told that Serta takes the beds back at no charge from the dealers and I also confirmed this through Serta Warranty. So basically not only did they make money off the original sale, and the second sale they also got a $350.00 bonus check from me just from me for being a loyal customer. Maybe they miss lead all there customers so they can get a bonus restocking fee. Due to the facts listed above I would never recommend them to anyone. read more
