We bought a top of the line Tempur-Pedic mattress and two Tempur pillows. When one of the pillows arrived, we realized that the height was larger than advertised. We emailed them 4 times to exchange the pillow for a lower profile version. There was no response. We called and they said the store manager would need to approve and they would call us back. The guy that helped us was great. The quality of the bed is my issue. I spent $1070 for a queen mattress that we tried and enjoyed in the store, but the bed that I received was completely different. we've done the break in, walking and crawling on the bed, even jumping. It sleeps like a rock. we are continuously waking up at night and early morning due to back pain from this mess. My $250 Amazon guest bed sleeps better and would have been the better buy. read more

Walked in here on a Saturday and had made a decision on a mattress and adjustable frame within 45 min, which made our very busy weekend (mid-move) a lot simpler. Walta was a great salesman with some good insights on how to pick the right product. Adjustable frame was on an excellent sale. We stopped in here because we were shopping in the Northgate area anyhow. We've been needing a mattress, but although my husband was all gung-ho, I was dragging my feet. I mean, the last thing I wanted was another carsalesman-y guy giving us his pitch for a mattress, right? Well, we had a great experience from start to finish with this location of Sleep Country. Pete Z. was our guy, and he was not pushy at all; just personable, helpful and funny. He told us what we needed to know, let us explore the store on our own, and then checked back in with us. He had the answers to all of our questions, too. We ended up with a Tempurpedic that wasn't top or bottom of the line - somewhere in the middle. We had always wanted to try one, and now we found one, and we love it. We bought it on Thursday, and we got it today, Saturday, (although they could have brought it yesterday, we just weren't home) and they brought the mattress protector kit and sheets we ordered, too. The order was accurate. The delivery guys set everything up for us, including the mattress protector, AND they hauled our old California King away. They were on time, they didn't leave a mess, and they got rid of our junk. What else could we ask for? In summary, I would shop there again in a heartbeat. Nighty night! read more

Chet was absolutely fantastic!! I just moved up from Southern California and I was thinking that my current situation would not allow me to have a decent mattress for some time. Chet had other plans. He worked w me and my budget and found me an AMAZING bed to sleep on. He did everything he could to help me get it to my place that night, which sleeping on was complete bliss after the 18 hours of driving I had done the day and a half prior. Then despite closing at 6, he stayed late to ensure everything was handled and that I would be comfortable my first night. I have never experienced such excellent customer service before. I felt appreciated, my concerns were heard, and it didn't seem like just another sales push. Just short of probably allowing me to stay the night for assurance, Chris was extremely helpful and stayed after closing by over a half hour. Extremely patient, knew the financial structure of the investment and allowed me to feel out the subtle differences between mattresses for over an hour while also assisting a couple other guests. Even called the warehouse after-hours to schedule a delivery in a narrow schedule window of mine. As I narrowed down the search he told me to really try them out for five minute increments, and it was getting close to closing time. He invested his time and knowledge for something I needed to invest in, on a personal level. The best aspect was knowing it was top of the line at a clearance rate. Saving nearly $1500 for something out of my budget, the financial service provided allowed me to take that next step. A minimum of $20 a month in the span of 6 years with no interest? It sounds too good to be true. Well, it is true and my finances are not crushed by this decision. If you are on the fence on a mattress that has a bit of a price tag, just check out their clearance section at least. Affordable and great mattresses with the financing they offer. Just...take a look for your own benefit of avoiding a used mattress off of Craigslist or that hand-me down, or even keeping a mattress you've had because you have it. The overall shopping aspect was sublime. Better than I anticipated, don't know why I didn't do it earlier. read more

Salesperson gave us a lot of info, knew about the different mattresses, and we quickly and easily found one we loved. He gave us options to "add on" bundle with sheets, pillows etc, but we opted out. This was their response to my complaint with the BBB...Mattress Firm is in receipt of the complaint filed by Ms. York. Upon review of her account the District manager of the local Mattress Firm store approved for the mattress to be returned. The return was complete on September 5, 2020. The refund of $4,902.33 will go back to the card on file within 7-10 business days. As we take these complaint very seriously, we believe no further action is required. Well...apparently, they don't. Day 10 and no refund! We called Mattress Firm this morning and were told they can't release our refund right now. PLEASE go somewhere else to buy a mattress. Awful location. It's seem nice from the outside but the staff was rude and pushy. The sales man didn't really even pay attention to what my needs or wants were. I feel like he was just trying to push a mattress on me, it felt like he was just trying push his big corporations wants on me. Why buy a mattress anywhere else? I'll tell you why . . . Because when I go into a mattress store I don't expect to get some slick carsalesmanesque run around. I expect, when I've told the salesman that I've done my mattress research, he'll believe me and won't spout off statistics about a deeper sleep with tempur whatever . . . I know this already. I did the research. I also expect, that when I tell him the EXACT amount I want to spend, he won't direct me to mattress sets that are $199 - $300 MORE than the amount I told him. Telling me that he won't recommend the sets in my price range because you spend eight hours sleeping and these mattresses will let you sleep deeper and your partner won't snore anymore and it cures cancer. Mattresses are important to your overall well being. I get it. And even the barest minimum in mattresses are ridiculously expensive. I get that too. But by not listening to me at all and pushing me towards a spendier set all this sales guy did was push me right out the door. read more

I walked into the store with their little jingle in my head...why buy a mattress anywhere else...doo doot doo... Here's why you go buy somewhere else: First, the sales associate was ultra pushy. The guy started off friendly enough by asking us what we liked (firm, soft etc.). Then he walked us to the back and let us try out the Simmons Beauty Rest ($999.95)...then the Beauty Rest again, in another firmness level ($1399.95)...then another Beauty Rest ($899.95). When we asked about the other brands, he pretty much bashed them and said this would give us the best sleep...blah blah...we sleep less on good beds b/c we get deeper sleep...blah blah blah...you won't feel your partner get up...ya dee ya. Then I said price was important and his response was we will beat any competitor's price by 5%. Err...what I meant was I can't afford to spend $1000 on a bed, how about showing me your other beds that aren't $999 and up. He even steered us away from a Sealy that was $799.95 and didn't even talk about their Mt. Baker mattresses that were $599. In the end, he got too pushy. I told him I was going to shop around and this was just my first mattress store stop. In response, he said he wanted to give me some info so I could comparison shop...he began reciting the # of coils and gauge thickness and other bed specs... Finally, I told him we were going to check out Mattress Depot, too. He said they sell "factory seconds" and this means they are used by customers and then returned for whatever reason. He specifically stated "they will say they sell NEW beds, but they only sell factory seconds and will not fully disclose what that means. We, at Sleep Country, are upfront with our factor second beds." Just to let you know, we went to Mattress Depot (see my review) for the heck of it. They sell BOTH new and factory second mattresses...they also divide their store so the new ones are away from the "as is" factory seconds. The sheer fact that the Sleep Country sales associate flat out LIED, plus only tried to sell us their expensive lines is what gives them a mere 1 star. NOTE: We checked out both the Sleep Country Outlet and their regular store across the street. We started at the outlet and then the same sales associate showed us their regular store. read more

So, as all the other reviews here are saying, yes the salesmen are 'pushy,' in that when I said I wanted to check out a few other stores, he recited the store's price matching, free delivery, try-in-home rigamarole -- but what do you expect when you walk into a store selling high-ticket items? It isn't like they are going to see you again in the next few months when you come back to buy another bed. So yes, the salesmen were salesmen, but as someone with a little bit of sales experience, I can appreciate the difference between a slimy, get away with whatever you can salesman and someone who believes in their product (even if it is just based on company training). Now, I mentioned the price matching, and this is a critical detail, as I walked out of their store and east a block to the Mattress Depot, where I found a bed that was comparable to a $1600 (at SC-USA) for $800. It was nice, but I kinda disliked the salesman at MD, as his main tactic was to say how much better the brands he had were than the competition... anyway, he was a negative salesman, and he was alone in the store and had 3-4 couples to manage. Armed with the lower price and bed specs, I went back to SC-USA and told my salesman (Evan, BTW) about it, and he found a comparable mattress which my wife preferred, tracked down one that had been returned 30 days in, and got us a $1600 mattress for $800. tl,dr: Salesmen pushy, but good. We have been looking for a king sized Tempurpedic bed for a while now. This weekend (Memorial Day) they were having an extra $200 dollars off these beds, so we went in to check it out. One thing I knew up front was that Sleep Country employees, along with most other furniture stores, work on commission and you are pretty much "greeted" immediately upon entrance and "helped" the entire time. Going in, I expected this. Turns out our salesman was not as pushy as I read in some of the other reviews. This could be that we were already looking to buy an expensive high-end bed so there was no real up-selling to do. He was friendly and helpful without being pushy. He gave us some time for me and my soon-to-be wife to discuss in private. He was able to throw in a free tempurpedic pillow for is and gave us some good suggestions. .... Come delivery time. The delivery crew was friendly. I'm not sure it was the best quality I have ever seen, they did sort of drag the mattresses along the wall a little bit and weren't as careful as I would have expected for "red carpet" delivery. However, I live in a townhouse and getting my old queen sized mattress down the stairs and out is a real pain in the ass. The strategically dropped it out the balcony doors into my backyard (which was fine with me). All in all everything got delivered just fine. I think though if the setup were at their own houses that they might have been a little more attention detailed. I am happy though. read more

Ok, so it's time to replace the mattress. The old one was purchased right after college, so naturally it was the cheapest selection at the cheapest store I could find. If it were a reality star it'd be a Kardashian. If it were a singer, it'd be Kid Rock on a comeback tour. But, hey, it beat the plywood slab over two beer kegs. However, my patient wife put up with it for long enough, so off we go to Sleep Country! Apparently there is more to mattresses than the fear of accidentally ripping that curiously terrifying "DO NOT REMOVE" tag. Did you know mattress "technology" has changed? Neither did I, but it's true. Chet walked us through the options. He asked if I sleep on my back (I do) and if it hurt in the morning (it did). Apparently that's due to a myriad of factors related to the mattress all of which I was ignorant. Chet was knowledgeable and helpful, and Sleep Country has a guaranteed low price (online and off), free delivery, and 100 day return period. I thought asking for a massage to ease my aching back would be pushing it, so I decided to rely on the wonders of the mattress. Give Sleep Country a shot. There truly is only upside. read more

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at this store! We came in near the end of the day on a Saturday. We have been looking to upgrade our full (extremely old and uncomfortable) mattress to a queen sized mattress. Chadd was super helpful, we told him the comfort style we were looking for, but importantly we had to stay within our (relatively low) budget. He totally helped us out, showed us all good options within our budget, including the clearanced down floor model of a normally $2000 mattress that was down to $600. He was totally friendly and listened to what we wanted. Not pushy but just open with information about the different mattresses. Very nice and thorough through the checkout process, and friendly/chatty while we waited for the computer to do its thing. So excited for the mattress we are going to get! This is most likely the only review I'll ever do- but I had to because I'm that stoked about by experience. We arrived just about an hour ago. We are a couple who had what could be considered a ridiculous budget of about 500 bucks. We left spending 750 with tax out the door- got an incredible deal- and what equated out to be the perfect mattress for both of our needs. All the staff were friendly and greeted us or talked to us at some point, and the main person who helped us out, Chet Proudman, did everything right. He listened to what we needed, understood our price range and narrowed down our search based off that information. He was funny, charming- and just good with people. Honestly, I'm a little shocked at how easy and enjoyable that experience was. We are both musicians that live off of industry jobs, so we really don't make a lot of money and buying a new mattress hasn't been in the cards- so if you don't have a lot of money and are just a normal joe and you are ready to buy a mattress that feels AMAZING and want let's just say "the perfect experience", go to Sleep Country in Northgate - ask for Chet- I guarantee he will not disappoint - and you will leave feeling STOKED. read more

We were actually in the Outlet Store but the gal said the selection was better in the 'real' store so we crossed the street there. The showroom is very large and bustling over a Labor Day Weekend. We tried a few mattress in three different series, one of which was the Tempur Pedic and the other was this kind of natural mattress. These ones are really expensive! But the gal was patient with us as she led us to mattresses based off our comments. She also brought out pillows for us to try that we wound up loving so much we bought two of them! We didn't buy a mattress set yet because we're still shopping around. But the experience here was a pretty moderate one. read more

I had been researching for about 8 months regarding mattresses. Checked out online only companies, local mattress stores and honestly avoided Sleep Country USA as it seemed "to big" and overwhelming with options. My sister and I decided to give it a go as we were both looking for mattresses (9/26/2015). First off we were greeted almost immediately by Eve Hummel (who is AMAZING). She is very knowledgeable and was able to listen and discern what each of us needed/wanted in a mattress. She told us that she would be able to eliminate about 85% of the store within two or so mattresses and she did. Eve was very responsive to us while dealing with another customer (who seemed from a distance quite difficult). She made sure to give us plenty of time to lay on the mattress and try it out but was quick to check in with us when we had a feel for it. She totally was able to read between the lines of my 3 bears syndrome (that one is to hard and this one is to soft do you have something in between?)!! When it was said in done I laid down on a total of 8 mattresses (the last one being "THE ONE" for me). She was able to do BOTH 24 months interest free financing and $300 dollars of add ons! We also got a multi mattress discount since we both bought our mattresses that day. They would have delivered the next day after purchase but I wasn't going to be around so I originally set it up for a Tuesday delivery. I was able to call back with the proper height of my previous mattress and change from the regular box spring to the low profile box spring and even change my delivery date to that same day (Monday 9/28/2015). I found this process to be much less painful than I thought it would be. I have now slept on my new mattress for two nights and I am loving it. I have it in my calendar for the half way point of the 100 day trial and the 99 day point. I am hoping it continues to be the mattress for me. read more

Over the years we've bought our kids' mattresses, one for our guest room, a our bed from Mattress Firm. Today we went in seeking a replacement for our Purple and couldn't be happier to again work with Gavin. He took the time to carefully listen to what we loved and didn't about our old Tempurpedic vs our current Purple and directed us to the beds that would make the most sense. There was no hard sell, no trying to up sell us to the most expensive one, none of the sales-y BS that's so incredibly irritating...including (and this is big) not talking past me to my husband as many salesmen do when making a large purchase. We weren't sure we were really ready to buy but we wanted to see what our options were. We visited another mattress store and then walked across the street to see what Sleep Country had to offer. What a disappointment. The guy who helped us seemed knowledgable, but had NO enthusiasm. Also, their price was almost $100 more than across the street, even after they offered us a 10% discount since it wasn't available for delivery for another couple days. After our experience at sleep country we walked straight back across the street and made our purchase there. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY THEY HAVE DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES...... I was in the market for a new king mattress and after a lot of consideration and consultation with the store manager Luke I decided to by a super deluxe mattress with an original price of $2,600.00 that was returned with a "minor" defect. Luke went through computer records and confirmed that it was a minor defect with the stitching and the manufactures guarantee was void on this item. As it was just a "minor" defect I decided to buy the mattress for $860.00 with no manufactures guarantee. I had the mattress only 6 months and a crater (2 feet round) formed in the center making it unusable.... I went back to Sleep Country and told them about my situation. Luke was no longer at that store and they referred me to "customer service" 800 number in California.... The woman there explained that I bought a mattress without a guarantee so they could do nothing. WHAT A RIP OFF!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! read more
