I brought in a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses to have prescription lenses installed. I specifically told the owner, Phil B., that I planned to have cataract surgery within a year and would want the original Ray-Ban lenses put back in afterward. When I picked up my glasses, the original Ray-Ban lenses were missing. I was assured they would contact the lab and resolve the issue. After several follow-up calls, Carlos was not only unhelpful but also rude, repeatedly telling me to be patient and that it would take time. Two weeks later, I spoke with Phil, who promised he would replace the lenses. I even contacted Ray-Ban myself and learned replacement lenses would cost about $140. Over the next six months, every time I called for an update, Phil said he would order the replacement lenses and get back to me, but nothing ever happened. After being a loyal customer for years, I expected better. Instead, I was met with rude customer service, excuse after excuse, and promises that were never kept. More than six months later, the issue remains unresolved. Extremely disappointing experience.

No wonder the swelling was so bad... I was sold on a special moist eye compress mask and did not purchase any frames or lenses during my visit as I had to get back to work. The eye compress price was comparable to Amazon's. The office staff were even considerate enough to give me some sun filters after the dilation for my drive home as I'd forgotten my sunglasses. Overall, a very pleasant visit, about an hour and some change because of the dilation time for a new patient. Would come back again!

Dr. Lee explained what her reasoning was for every step of the exam and tailored the exam to my needs with lots of communication, while her techs did a lot of the work so she could focus on interacting with me. I've never had such a quick vision exam before and I've been severely myopic since age 5. The clinic is also equipped with a lot of instruments that make routine exams quick and easy-- they can even tell the prescription on your glasses from simply examining your lenses. The fundus exam was painless and easy compared to past fundus exams I've had and for a new patient, it is free. If you plan to get a new frame at vision optique, they have a decent selection of frames of various styles, from Kate spade to Tom ford or Gucci, ranging from 200-400 dollars (at least from the ones I inspected). The clinic is located inside of a larger mall and they have 8 assigned parking spaces just for vision optique (several were available when I visited on a weekday afternoon). There is no bathroom on the first flooor and you must venture upstairs for it. I've been to many optometrists and rarely do I find one that is so professional and kind. At vision optique, your vision exam will be done in the blink of an eye!

Today I went in for my appointment, I called ahead of time to let them know that I would be a few minutes late. The staff once again was very pleasant and very accommodating. I completed the paperwork and waited just a few moments. When the technician asked me to come back to do the initial eye exams. The equipment was in an open concept area. There was a woman and man in a business conversation. The man's voice was very loud. The two people were clearly engaged in a conversation related to the business of this particular location and franchise. For the first exam, they were directly behind me talking very loudly. Making it very difficult to concentrate on what the tech was asking me to do and also making it difficult for me to hear her speak to me. We proceeded to the second exam, which was two part. Again, the man and woman were standing directly behind me having a very loud in-depth business conversation. Making it excessively difficult to concentrate on the particular exam for peripheral vision. I expressed my concern to the tech about how disruptive it was and how difficult it was to concentrate. She was very kind and apologized and offered me to wait until they finish the conversation. The man and woman proceeded to the showroom, but were still very loud and disruptive. I completed the second part of the second exam. I once again in a respectful manner expressed my concern over the disruption. And then I ask, is that the doctor? Indeed, the woman engaged in this conversation in the earshot of customers was the doctor. I was so offended by the unprofessionalism I let the young lady know I was leaving. I'm very disappointed that I was compelled to leave as I was prepared to buy a complete frame and lenses for regular glasses and I had a bag of design designer frames that I wanted to get new lenses for. The estimated cost for what I wanted to do Wood would have been well in excessive $2000. I am totally amazed, that someone in this position and level of education, would hold such a conversation in earshot of customers. It was clearly a conversation that should have probably been behind closed doors. Details about the business and productivity are not conversation that should've been in front of customers or employees.

There have also been 3 or 4 times where I had to come back for the scan because there was a system problems or Dr Farmer could not access the scan or history while I was there because of technical glitches. She said she would later. I would not recommend using Dr Farmer for anything more than prescribing glasses. Anything more go see an ophthalmologist on your own.

I had my annual exam at Matrix Vision and was very satisfied. I asked for my prescription to be emailed to me, and promptly received it. I then ordered 12 pair of contact lenses, which were the type stated on my prescription. I now see that the lenses i was prescribed and bought from this practice are NOT the lenses i wear, and have worn for years. When i called to question this mistake, the person I spoke with said that "well, that's what is in your file" and "most people like those contacts". I find this unacceptable and will not conduct any more business with this office. Addendum: I received a phone call fron Dr. Wong, the business owner and Optometrist i saw. He apologized at length for mistakes that were made by his staff. I now feel that I will continue to go to his practice in the future. Dr. Wong is very capable and i did like his "bedside manner ". First of all, I made a Yelp account just so I could review this office. I haven't been to an eye doctor in years due to terrible past experiences. I found this office on google and made an appointment. The day of my appointment, the front desk ladies were nice, fun to chat with and hey helped me pick out glasses. When I was called back to the doctor, he was very quick but VERY thorough. He was concerned with what I wanted and how I felt unlike my past doctors. Overall, it was a great experience! I am most happy to write a recommendation for Dr. Jonathan Wong of Matrix Vision, who has been my optometrist for the past 10 years. He takes such good care of me by making the eye exam and choosing the the right frames and lenses an easy and pleasant experience. It may not be one of those big corporate eyeglasses stores like eyemaster or lenscrafter, and it shows in a good way! I really felt like my personal eyecare needs were being attended to and you just don't get that from those big chain companies. By the time you get around to making an appointment, you end up having to wait another two weeks for your prescribed glasses to arrive. Not here though. You get your glasses the VERY SAME DAY. And they are open on Saturdays! (Backstory: My poor nephew lost his original pair of glasses and ended up wearing an old pair that lost an arm. I wish I could have captured the moment on video when he put on his new pair of glasses: instant excitement and gratitude). To be transparent we did pay out-of-pocket since his insurance doesn't renew for another 5 months but the price was quite reasonable and competitive compared to other optometry offices.
