After being enrolled in Oxford Prep and subsequently being accepted into Oxford Academy, I came back to Pace a few times in high school for help in various subjects such as calculus and English. My math teachers did not simply assist me with my homework but guided me in learning chapters ahead. This helped me to be prepared in advance for quizzes and tests and develop study habits. Whenever I wrote an essay for English class, Tim was always willing to look over multiple drafts of it to see where I could improve it. He also made sure I understood the books I was reading on a deeper level by helping me analyze the literary texts to see the overarching themes. One thing that stands out to me about Pace in comparison to other afterschools/tutoring centers is its atmosphere. I got to know most of the teachers on a name-by-name basis for they all are very friendly. The principal is not only very nice but also very professional and experienced as she has led the academy for over 15 years. Also, because many students at Pace see its benefits and so attend for multiple years, you see many familiar faces, overall adding to the homely vibe. I was on the playground supervising my 4 year old After an interaction the staff worker in charge of taking care of the kids flat at told me I was lying Beware the academy allows their kids run around without supervision and allows them to bully others I spoke to Sam from the peace academy and he did apologize and said he will talk to him. Older kids should not be allowed to pick on babies.

When my son transitioned to the two-year-old class, he didn't want to go. As I tried to help him adjust, the toddler teacher blocked the door with her body, saying I had to take him to the two-year-old class myself because she didn't have time. They didn't even try to help him through the transition. The food was bland, straight out of cans, and he lost his appetite even at home. One teacher, who had extremely long, exaggerated nails, made me wonder how she could care for two-year-olds with such nails. I saw teachers push kids aside and treat cleaning them like a chore. Even with live cameras, I worried what happened off-screen. Those eight months left us full of regret.
