With that in mind, I wanna say I am deeply grateful for this school. They have great systems in place with low ratio and really teach the little ones a lot while they're there. I can solidly say that at two years old my daughter can count from one to 20 and sing the whole alphabet along with about 15 different nursery, rhymes and stack blocks and has very advanced fine motor and motor skills because of the school. I'm a licensed OT and always felt safe with and confident in staff. Mrs. Nali, Mrs Dhammika, and Mrs Nayana are well educated in this age group, patient, and loving. All of the staff are truly wonderful. We went from infant, to wobbler, to toddler and transitioned very well. I don't know the frequency but every time my child which class they gave me a comprehensive developmental checklist to tell me what my child was doing or wasn't doing that was on track for proper development or not and that is huge. When you're a busy parent and don't always notice some of the things that Are typical or atypical to have some professional eyes to help you understand where your child is developmentally is huge. They are CPR trained and do a great job with making sure they're fed and changed consistently. My baby never came home hungry or never was crying when I picked her up and never got diaper rash there. If you choose to be part of the little app, you will get photos of your child. Once every couple weeks in the classroom is playing with the other children. They also send little videos and they do little Halloween parades and classroom parties. The Christmas parade is precious too! The focus of MONTESSORI is self-sufficiency which as an occupational therapist I really love. She would come home and if she spilled something, she would run right away to try to clean it up. She very much wanted to learn how to do things on her own and she knew how to threw away her own trash, which was not something I taught her at home necessarily lol It truly is adorable and prepares your baby for a successful road ahead with school and life beyond. My only thing I would change is having carpet or soft floor in the infant room vs hard floors. Other than that, everything really is done perfectly, and they have a lovely little outdoor space that they take them to a few times a day where they can ride bikes and do the slide and all of that. Learning how to operate in a group and look at what the rest of the group is doing and follow along is a critical life skill, and my baby has transitioned to preschool seamlessly because of her experience at this other school. In fact, one of her current teachers used to work at Wee care as well and has positive things to say.

It was admittedly very difficult having to hear her scream the entire 15 minutes, but trust the process! Alex was so good with her and earned her trust. By the end of the second Monday, she got out of the water and exclaimed how much she loved swimming. I was shocked! Something just clicked. Not only did she get over her fear of having her head in the water, she loved it. She was able to roll, float on her back, and kick within the second week. She spent the third week refining skills and feeling more comfortable under water. We are so incredibly proud of the progress she's made in such a short amount of time. My son's grade in the first semester (freshman year) was a 75. As I was driving to my house, I noticed the distinct Mathnasium sign, and immediately thought about enrolling him here.This soon paid dividends. Hugo is a very nice, and open director, and maintains healthy relationships with both the kids and their parents through constant communication, and monitoring of the kids' progress. Hugo, along with his instructors are very dedicated at improving the kids' math skills. At the end of the freshman year, my son's grades went to an 86. The first semester of sophomore year he went on to get a 90. Now his current grade is a 94. What I like about Mathnasium is that they assign kids math work based on their needs. Thanks to Mathnasium of Cypress, my kid's math grades have now improved a lot, as he feels more confident about taking math assessments. read more

My 8 year old is constantly falling back in math. I know that he has the motivation and the skills but he seemed to lack the tools needed to help him apply his lessons to his homework and tests. I just want to thank Sasha and the Cypress Tutoring center group for there caring and hard work. My son is 11 and was having a tough time understanding what he was doing wrong. They have helped him improve his grades the last months of school. If you can believe it, he had the worse grade possible and turned it around to a B. My 14 year old son has always had a difficult time in math so I thought I have to do something before he goes to high school. This was the best decision I ever made. In two short weeks his grade went from a D to a B plus, and he even got a math award. His confidence is boosted and now he actually likes math. This place is really "all-in-one" which is really convenient for working parents. They offer a pick up service from my child's school and feed them snacks once they arrive at Quest. I have piece of mind knowing that my son is well taken care of from the moment they are picked up. As for their homework help class, I double check my son's homework each night to make sure it's complete, and I have no problems with the quality. I was a little concerned about the shift to common core at my son's school, but the teachers at Quest know how to explain common core methods very well. My son also has private tutoring for reading since he was a little behind. His tutor is great and I've seen so much improvement in his reading fluency and comprehension. Found out my son was getting bullied at this tutoring center…read more I didn't get to find this out until a year later after we had to stop taking him here due to transportation and scheduling, because talking about the experience would make him remind him of the unpleasant feeling he had at the time. Most of the kids that attend here are mainly middle eastern descent, and my kid was the only Japanese kid. He's not sure if that's the reason but he was constantly ignored or told that he cannot play with him. He would tell the staffs every time but they did nothing about it. Do not take your kids here if you prefer a diverse and inclusive facility with proactive staffs that actually does what they should do when kids are having issues.

They helped her on her weaker areas and she improved a lot and she's a lot more confident now. We have been part of the Long Beach Stearns Kumon Family for about 4 years now and have been very…read morehappy with the growth and development of our children, who are currently 7 years old and 9 years old. My oldest son who is currently in 3rd grade began his Kumon journey when he was in Kindergarten. We initially started him with Reading only in order to develop his Reading and Vocabulary, but, after a year, we transitioned him into both Math and Reading. During his time in Kumon, I can honestly say Kumon has helped him develop a strong vocabulary base and has allowed him to become a proficient reader and writer. One aspect of Kumon that I believe is most beneficial for the student is the development of the daily routine and discipline of completing the work packets. These type of study habits to finish these Kumon packets on time gradually becomes ingrained into their daily routine which helps to develop discipline and a strong work ethic, which eventually can carry on to other aspects of academic life. Ms. Jila and her staff truly care about the academic success and learning of each child. Without reservation, I would recommend Kumon Long Beach Stearns for your child.

Ms Jila, Jessica and the rest of the Kumon Stearns team has been working with our daughter for the last two years. She tested into kindergarten math at the end of 1st grade. With the help of Kumon, our 3rd grader finally tested into grade level and was just a few questions from testing into the next level. Ms. Jila never gave up and encouraged us to stay and keep working together. My daughter was so excited to come home and show off her scores!

From the start, I knew exactly what I was looking for in a preschool. I had previously worked in preschools and in admissions at a Pre-K through 8th grade private school in Saratoga, I had strong opinions about what kind of environment I wanted for my own children. My top priorities were: strong leadership, small class ratios, and teacher retention. When I toured Stepping Stones, I knew immediately that this was the right place. Ms. Jenny, the Assistant Director, is fantastic--bubbly, professional, and genuinely invested. Whether she's greeting families at the door, supporting teachers in the classroom, decorating, or prepping for the next event, she's fully present and hands-on. Her leadership sets the tone for the whole school, creating a warm, welcoming, and well-run environment. One of my favorite things about the program is the 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio in both the 3-year-old and 4-year-old classes. It's not a model where one teacher manages a large group with just an aide--it's truly one teacher to twelve students. The classrooms are designed for this more intimate setting, which allows teachers to get to know their students deeply. (Bonus: you only have to buy 12 party favors instead of 24! ) Teacher retention is another strong point. You can tell the staff love working here. Former teachers and substitutes often return, and there's a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration. I frequently saw teachers sharing ideas, helping one another, and going above and beyond to support their students and colleagues. Communication with the school is also seamless, thanks to the Learning Management System they use. Teachers and staff regularly post photos, share weekly updates, and send messages through it, which keeps parents in the loop in such a meaningful way. I also want to give special thanks to two teachers who made a big impact on our family: Ms. Karina has a warm and calming presence that made a world of difference for my son, especially during a time of big changes at home. He was still adjusting to having a new sibling, and mornings could be tough and emotional. Ms. Karina met him each day with such patience and gentle reassurance--her kind words, soft tone, and steady presence helped him feel safe and understood. She provided the comfort and consistency he needed, making his transition into the classroom so much smoother. We're incredibly grateful for the care and support she offered during that tender time. Ms. Nayeli helped provide him with the independence he needed to gain confidence in himself. Her encouragement, structure, and thoughtful approach created an environment for him to explore, take initiative, and thrive. If you're considering Stepping Stones, I can wholeheartedly recommend it. The leadership, classroom structure, and loving teachers make it a truly special place.

The director, Christine, and all of the teachers are EXCELLENT. Both girls are always excited to go to school every day & they were there from 7AM - 6PM. Now that we have moved up north, I appreciate this school so much. Pros: - Secured entrance with access code - Front desk knows every person that is picking up - Yummy hot lunch and fresh snacks prepared (My kids love the rice option cause what other school provides this?! ) - Clean establishment - Fun field trips to the zoo, pumpkin patch & also on site activities such as SNOW day! Plus so much more. - Lots of art work Cons: - School is far away from where I am now I've toured so many preschool (from Irvine to Cerritos) and this is by far the best! I don't know anyone that have signed up and hated this place.
