Not only are these tutors rockstars at math, but they are superstars when it comes to customer care and kindness. My kiddo has been attending for over a year. Her grades and her confidence have both improved. She likes going, which is saying a lot for a moody junior higher. My high schooler ASKED to go because she saw how much it helped her sister. NEW LOCATION by Starbucks and Stater Bros.. Need to bribe your kids to get them interested in Math? This is the place! You earn stamps to earn reward cards to trade on for Disney tix, Nintendo Switch, Shopkins, snacks to name a few of many. My kids just started and they said it takes longer to earn the cards than they thought, but the also have a wheel of fortune you can spin for completing a project given. I don't think earnings should be too easy, I'm glad my kids have to work for it! Monthly program and you can go as much as you want for 1 hour a day. Closed Fridays and open on weekends. I wish they would check which days local schools are out early and open earlier on those days. I like that they challenge my kids, public school Math is too easy for my son. They have advanced him on math, where school won't. My daughter does well, but they can give her help when she gets tired of learning from me . I requested to reinforce the Chapter she was working on on class to prep for a test, they were very accommodating. I hope they gain retention of work as promised. Yatin Shah is a genuinely caring guy and if this is how he operates his center, the kids who go there will be in good hands. I called needing to find help in HS Math for one of my kids. These are weird times with online learning and stressed out kids. Mathasium has been great for my child! We started tutor with mathasium just as school was out & summer begun. Since i noticed my son struggling in this subject i knew i had to find something that he could connect with and enjoy learning. Now that he is back in school he rocked his first multiplication test! That was the 1st sign of success that mathasium truely does work! It was a great self esteem booster for my son as well! Chris and his staff are amazing. They work very hard to not only improve on Math skills, but also to create a positive environment for struggling Math students. My experience to date has been nothing but great. Chris is kind, intelligent and very welcoming to all parents and students, including remembering their names. The tutors are all fun and engaging, with great tricks to learning that are offered with a smile. I have seen a huge change in my child since she started attending and she LOVES coming here. Which is a pretty incredible since up until now, she has always hated Math and was terrible at it. If you have a student who learns differently or who isn't "clicking" with their Math, I highly recommend trying out this location. They work very well with kids who learn in a visual-spacial manner and open up the world of Math for them. And lastly, they never criticize or leave a student feeling "dumb" or "stupid", instead they make every effort to heal their old wounds and provide a safe, positive place for them to learn and improve in their deficient areas. As a family with busy, working parents, we really appreciate Mathnasium here in Cypress. It has really improved over time and especially since Ms. Robbins has taken over as the OUTSTANDING director. Our two boys have gotten wonderful homework support as well as an opportunity to partake of the Mathnasium curriculum to fill in missing gaps or go back to essential skills for reinforcement. The location is very convenient; our 10th grader can just walk across the street to Mathnasium after school. We were looking for a math tutor for our daughter as her teacher said that was her weak side in class so me and my wife thought of getting her a tutoring for math. As we were shopping next door at the children orchard we seen a mathnasium, we went in and bothered Sara and asked her some questions, she was very nice and friendly. She quickly answered all the questions we had and went over how they work their programs. Me and my wife talked about it over and over and thought it was a perfect idea to put her in mathnasium for tutoring. Sara gave us a free session for my daughter to give her a feel and idea how it works. Talked to my daughter about it and she loved it. Now we enrolled her for a 6 month contract and my daughter loves every hour she gets tutoring there. She ask all day to go back because she's anxious to learn more. But in all reality when you break down the price per hour, it turns out to be fairly reasonable (but still out of my budge).
