He ensured that I not only understood the topic but also confident in anything I was given! He is also able to understand and adapt to the many different teaching styles by the teachers at my school. No matter the time or day, he was always there for me. I still remember the night before one of my Calculus exams. I was Terry's last student of the day, and our session was supposed to end at 11:30pm. He stayed on the Zoom call with me until midnight, patiently helping me with the questions I struggled to understand. I cannot recommend Terry highly enough. Very patient in explanations and works to make sure the student understands the concept. Not only that, but he stays up late helping students with math and answering questions past midnight. He cares about his students and I'll definitely miss his classes as I'm off to university. There are many math tutors, but Terry is the person you go to for an in-depth understanding of coursework. The most important part about TL is that the teachers and staff truly care about the kids and their academic progress/growth. I really appreciate the teachers' helping with my kids' homework and the academic curriculum TL provides to help kids' to expand their minds. There's been over 5 different instructors. Each time the instructor was switched, it was like we were starting over. Every 30-minute lesson is the same without spending time on skills the student actually needs to improve on. I've spoken to the deck managers and the front desk multiple times, however, would never really get an answer. Due to the lack of help and constant frustration of every swim lesson being the same for the last 4-5 months, we've decided to drop the program. We are extremely unhappy with the service and lack of communication on PSA side and will not be recommending this academy to any of our friends/family.

Tips: just try ur best not to reschedule your class time to avoid confusion and misunderstanding of the policy I was glad finding an indoor swimming class, esp since Im a LA FITNESS member. I dont mind the high price too, even thou its almost as expensive my kids' private figure skating/ ice hockey lesson. What i do mind was the frustration from the scheduling system. I purchased 4 lessons package and scheduled my 3 kids lesson back in May. The extra 1 lesson was converted to make up class because I canceled 1 future lesson. A month later i saw the make up lesson was gone, and i was reading the "help" section that I need to pay another class so that the make up credit will be available. In which i did (so now i have 1 make up lesson and 1 paid lesson) I have 3 kids and i want them to have an equal chances to any activity, so i ended up paying 3 extra lessons and scheduled them back to back (at this point i have 1 make up lesson and 4 paid lessons). Next morning, i found out one of the class was cancelled, and i called the customer service. Thankfully she was helpful and she helped me in scheduling my kids lesson around. I wanted to use all of my lessons (paid or make up) so i wont need to worry about this complicated things anymore and will move forward finding other company. When i checked my online account, i noticed some of the classes were marked as make up lesson, and missing one class. I called again, and another rep saying i still have one paid lesson and that make up lesson is way of the company give it for free. How could it be for free when money already taken out from my account? Oh my GOSH. So frustrating! The reason i purchased 4 extra single lessons so that I can save time taking all of them together at the same time frame. Felt that I have to either let one class gone, or purchased more so i can scheduled all of them together again. Its your take, either you want to take in my review or not, but as a single mom with three kids and 2 jobs, dude, i work hard for my money (like anyone else) and for time off work to take them to activities, so I dont appreciate this back and forth confusion and complications. Another cons, as a first timer, we didnt know what to expect and noone greeted us when we arrived. I told my kids to go in 5 min prior to stretch in the water, on the side, so they wouldn't bother others, and that was not allowed. So for more than $29 lesson per 20 min, child should jumped in on the first minute, lesson, and out on the 20th min. The instructors Muna and Christian were good. I appreciate they let me know where my kids were in their skills.

Strongly recommend this Mathnasium for any parent who wants a solid foundation in Mathematics for their kids. We use to go to Kumon for math learning. After a couple years of Kumon, my son was getting bored with it. So we decided to give Mathnasium a try. Now, my son has been going to Mathnasium in Diamond Bar for about 6 months. His skills and knowledge in Math has drastically improved. I can see that he is more comfortable with his school work and have more confidence solving advanced math problems. I am also happy to see that he enjoys going there and I don't have to force him to go. Kids normally don't like after school programs but in this Mathnasium, he really likes his teachers and the environment that the owner Nick created. I love Mathnasium of Diamond Bar! The tutors genuinely care about all of their students and they truly are the math experts. They help with common core homework, but more importantly they help get kids caught up to where they need to be in math to succeed at school. This store recently underwent new ownership and I couldn't be happier with the changes that have been made. my nephew was falling behind in elementary math and we were growing concerned so we signed him up at Mathnasium and he has been going there for about 6 months. We began with homework help, but after seeing her results, we switched to their reading comprehension program. She now attends twice a week, and they focus on helping her understand what she reads--things like cause and effect, main ideas, and writing at a 5th‑grade level. One thing I really appreciate is that they even reached out to her school teacher to get a clearer picture of where she was academically, so everyone is working together. Since starting, my daughter has grown so much. She actually enjoys writing now and is slowly building more interest and confidence in reading. The small group setting works really well for her, and I love that Sylvan does monthly check‑ins with parents so we always know how she's progressing. I attended SC when I was in kindergarten all the way through eighth grade.
