Mathis Bros team is the exact opposite, they were super nice and helpful. The Mathis Bros delivery team was friendly and professional. Beware of the new delivery charge! We are previous customers,bought a recliner sofa in 2022. Also,paid for the membership so we can have member pricing and free in-house delivery. 2 weeks ago, we bought a dining table and 4 chairs. Asked about the delivery, the sales lady said we got free delivery because of the membership. Also asked about whether the table needs to be assembled, and she said no. Also asked about whether they will haul-away our old table,she said no but they can help move the table outside of the house. Today, the delivery had come, and delivery guys said they only delivered to doorstep dropoff, not inside the house and no assembly. There is an additional $150 Elite service for delivering in-house and assembly. The sales lady never mentioned an additional charge for in-house delivery and assembly. We bought about $12K worth of brand name furniture after doing our homework and realized their prices are very competitive. We want to think of ourselves as smart shoppers and we checked online stores and number of stores in state and even out of state, sure enough Mathis prices were competitive. The other advantage was, having the items in stock VS any other place we had to wait for 6-8 weeks. Our sales person was Roya, she was a joy to work with and not pushy. We went to the store 3 times till we made the purchase. We loved the fact that she was able to quickly put together a quote. She would provide professional and expert advice being interior designer by looking at our house pics, wall color, flooring other pieces and etc. Thank you Roya for being patient with us !!! We will be back since we need a few more pieces for kids bedroom. We also decided to pick up our furniture and the guys at the warehouse were organized even during the busy time / weekend. When we asked if we can inspect all pieces, they had no problem and opened all boxes and all looked good and then all boxes were taped up and safely loaded into our moving truck. This store does false advertisements. According to there online website, they state that if you find a product cheaper somewhere else, that they will just not match the price, but they will give you double the difference for it. I met all there rules and guidelines, and they matched the price for my couch but wont give me double the difference. They gave me ridiculous reasoning and excuses. I just feel like if you are going to advertise something then stick to it. I been calling into the store, but the receptionist tells me that the manager will call me back which they havent done for 2 weeks now. We recently purchased a sofa set from Mathis brothers. It took us 3 trips to decide on the exact sofa that will go well with our home but the customer service representative was great. Roman Luna, the guy in the red coat was beyond helpful. I lost my invoice # and called Roman for it since I was on the way to pick up the sofa. He answered the phone immediately even tho he was off that day. He even helped me check out with the clerk. I was so beyond thankful since moving is such a stressful process already. We first went into Mathis Brothers, looking for a couch and was assigned a salesman named Tom. Tom was awesome. He was incredibly accommodating and understanding when we were hesitating in ordering. We found ourselves liking a custom couch and wanted to make sure. So we went home and measured and came back to purchase a couch from Tom. Unfortunately, Tom went home that day, and we were forced upon Tony. Tony helped us out but took his sweet time and seemed a little more sleazy salesman. I didn't realize but he was able to take 1/2 of Tom's commission for writing the order which took 2 hours! We would have come back another time and order from Tom but we live far away and we didn't want to wait anymore as it's custom order, and it could take up to 12 weeks. Eight weeks later I got a call saying our couch is ready to be delivered. I was very excited that they were so early. The earliest delivery date was a Thursday and I booked it through Tom. I took off work and waited around the house waiting for my couch to arrive. When it didn't, I called Mathis brothers to find out why and was told Tony went into our account and changed our delivery date without ever talking to me, the customer! I wondered how this was a normal practice for their company. I was infuriated as I lost money and taking off a day. Mathis had nothing to say but I'm sorry. What if we were not going to be home the day he decided to schedule it as we often aren't? No answer. What are you gonna do for me? No answer, just a lot of sorries. I understand companies make mistakes, but this is ridiculous policy that a salesman who probably is just looking for the glory can go into any customers account and change the delivery day when they haven't even talked to the customer. it would've been nice if Mathis could've at least credited me the amount of money I'm out for missing work or even gauraunteed me a new delivery time that works for us. But no. Just sorry and it will arrive sometime on sat. After my sister furnished almost her entire home of about 6000 Sq Ft with furniture she and her husband purchased at The Mathis Brothers, about twelve years ago, I started shopping there and furnishing my homes and offices. In the past ten years I have furnished most of my two residences, my weekend home, and two of my business offices with furnishings I purchased at The Mathis Brothers. And I pretty much only shop upstairs where the higher-dollar furniture is. My last purchase about two years ago, was a sofa "from upstairs", and at the time the only one in stock was the floor model. The sofa was finished in a beautiful plush gold fabric with nicely matched pillows and wood trim. Upon delivery, the delivery men brought in quite a few other pieces I had also ordered (some pictured), and a totally different sofa than the one I had ordered. When I brought it to the delivery man's attention, he asked me to all the store and speak with the "Personal Home Furnishing Rep" that had helped me when I purchased all of it. So... I call her. "She" said, just have them leave the sofa there and they would get the correct one delivered soon and pick up the one currently in my living room. Later that day after the delivery people had left I called the "Rep", and she said it was being taken care of. A couple weeks past and I hear nothing, so I call her... leave a message. Leave another message. Leave another message. And another... Finally after about a month I actually catch her, and she proceeds to tell me that the sofa I had paid for off the floor was now out of stock, and they had no more. Upon hearing that, I told her that the sofa they had delivered was actually a nice looking sofa and I wouldn't mind keeping it given the situation, but it was missing one accent pillow, and one of the seating pillows had a defect in the manufacturing. She told me she would have a new one delivered and pick up the current one, and also refund me the difference as the sofa I had originally ordered was a bit higher priced. And with that, I NEVER HEARD FROM HER or The Mathis Brothers again. After making more calls than I care to remember, I had a conversation with a girl, "Blanca" that answers the phone in "Customer Service". I began to explain to her what was going on... she quickly cut me off telling me I need to talk to the "Rep". And, as I had already told Blanca, the "Rep" won't take or return my calls. Blanca, with no concern, said to leave another message. When I told Blanca I was partially disabled, and I would prefer to take care of this situation before I had to request the help of my brother, who is not as pleasant as I am, him being an attorney... Blanca then cut me off again, and said "If you have an attorney, I can't talk to you!", and HUNG UP ON ME. And that was that. I haven't been back. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at "The Mathis Brothers", and prior to that, everything was always great. But seriously, this was so incredibly unprofessional all the way around. I would really like to shop there again, but... Do they deserve my business? Oh, I never told my brother, he'd also be mad at me for taking so much CR*P from them. We purchased a sectional with three recliners in November 2020. We paid extra for the extended 5 yr warranty. Good thing we did. In January 2023 the buttons to move the recliner up and down on one of the recliners stopped working. It took two weeks to get a claims repair rep out here to fix it. Unfortunately, the part had to be replaced. The rep apparently did not take enough pictures of the part for ordering and had to come to our house again for more pics. That took another two weeks. The part was supposedly expedited but wasn't even ordered until 3/15/23. Two months later today, 5/15 and we still don't have the part. I talked to rep today who said the part is available and they are trying to contact the manufacturer with a shipping date but have yet to receive a status update. I understand supply chain issues but this is getting ridiculous. Although we have given Mathis Bros a lot of our business we can no longer do so, nor recommend this company because of this unresolved issue. Based on my experience dealing with MathisBrothers, I would highly recommend buying with caution, and reviewing the other 3 or below stars reviews. I will never shop here again and tell everyone I know to avoid them. This review is regarding returning items and obtaining a refund. Their customer service skills are terrible. I work as a Quality Manager for Customer Service, and the customer experience they provide leads to a major amount of the frustrations of dealing with them. Their departments do not clearly talk to each other, so you must coordinate everything. No one takes ownership to resolve. They lack standard customer service training on how to show empathy and proper transfer procedures. Expect to repeat yourself each time you get transferred. And be ready for a quick blind transfer without your permission. Here is my experience over the past month dealing with them. My parents (senior citizens) purchased a bedroom set and CalKing mattress for a large amount of money. When the bed frame/headboard and mattress were delivered, we were highly concerned with the size. The mattress was far too small for the bedframe. We tried to tell the delivery people, but they didn't speak English and were trying to leave as soon as they could. We spoke with customer service who said they could have a tech come out and take a look. Called the next day to find out we needed authorization for a tech, which was not mentioned the previous day, and I will receive a call. I didn't get a callback. I called a few days later and was told the store manager declined the tech because based on the pictures, the mattress allows for spacing on the sides. My parents went to the store to confirm other beds and mattresses and just how much spacing they had. Our spacing was far greater than those at the store display. A store rep showed us the CalKing size and the mattress my parents received was short by 2 inches. My parents were bounced from one department to another because no one wanted to clearly take ownership and recognize what they were sold didn't meet standards. They were given the phone number to the mattress department in Oklahoma. I called the mattress department, who just stated policy and didn't offer any help. I had multiple calls with Silva and another rep to try to get it resolved. They had me call back to the store, who then had me call back to the mattress department. Finally, after all the run-around, I asked to speak with their Executive Compliant department. I was given Silva's number (because she is the executive complaint person?) and left a message asking for a callback. She never returned my call. So I decided, since we cannot return the mattress, we are canceling the reset of the bedroom set on backorder and returning the bed frame. No issues having the bedframe picked up but was asked to call back to request a refund and to cancel the backorder 12/14 - called to get a refund, I was blind transferred around multiple times. When I spoke with Payments, they confirmed only half the refund ($1347.79). Then transferred me to customer service who confirmed the other half ($951.38). After getting bounced around a few times, I finally spoke with a nice lady who could see both refunds and explained the next steps. I would need to speak with 1 team to cancel the backorder, and then have that person transfer me to payments to issue the credit to my card. Since I didn't have the visa card on me, I had to call back. 12/15 - Called back to obtain the refund, which I thought would be simple. 1st call - spoke with Stacy. She only saw the refund for $1347.79. But after speaking with the customer service rep the previous day, they confirmed 2 refunds ($1347.79 & $951.38). I explain what happened, so Stacy connects to the Cashier. Spoke with Candance in Cashier. She confirmed both refunds ($1347.79 & $951.38). She says she is processing a refund check for the $951.38 since it was paid in cash. Connects me back to Payments to process the $1347.79 credit to Visa card. Call drops while in transfer 2nd call - call to Payment and Samantha answers. After providing my info, she immediately transfers me to Cashier. I didn't get a chance to tell her I just spoke with them. 3rd call - I hung up and called back. Got Samantha again, and without letting me speak, immediately connected me to Cashier again. So I hung up and tried to call again. 4th call - Samantha again immediately transferred me to Cashier without answering the line since she saw my caller ID. Finally spoke with a competent rep (Edgar) who took the time to review all the refunds and amounts and validated what I should be receiving. He warm transferred me back to Payments to process the refund. Edgar confirmed the real refund was only $1347.79. Not the $951.39, which everyone else was telling me. read more

Sent an email after we saw the reply. I answered through the email and it was sent back by the internet. Delivery has been sent here with new pieces five times with defective pieces. A piece we checked at the warehouse came we looked over concerned about the closing of the drawers. We checked it before they brought the dresser upstairs and now the delivery has left and there is a chip on the top. We were asked to come to the warehouse the last time to inspect before delivery. We called them the day before when we were coming and time. They had us wait there 2 hours before we could start looking at the pieces. It took from arriving at 11 and we didn't finish til 2:30. Today, We had to send pieces we looked at in the dark warehouse because they asked us to inspect before bringing. They were delivered with holes on the side. My husband rejected them. This is ridiculous. The first delivery started on March 23rd 2019- they can't seem to get it right and we spend $4400 approximately for the set. It wasn't cheap and we continue to have issues. Some of the knots say notches at sharp the company put on the set- where the veneer will chip off or cut you. My time is just as valuable of the $ we spent. They broke a branch off my Plumeria tree too! read more

The salesman there are great but with COVID, everything got screwed up with Availability and delivery so it was a bummer. Nothing that anybody can do when the production of products stop, BUT YOU CAN HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE to make up for the lack of product availability which is the point of this one star review. If I had been given ample notice of my products unavailability then I would have been understanding but unfortunately they waited to let it get past three months and calling the "delivery department customer service" seven times before telling me to just give up getting my items and they'll come when they come.... very disappointing as I purchased over $6000 dollars worth of products and received less than mediocre service. I purchased a $2400 bed in early September. The sales associate told me that the bed would be delivered at the end of September. I begrudgingly said okay and paid for half of the bed at that time. The sales associate told me she would call me in a couple of weeks for delivery and to pay the remainder of the bed. I called a couple of times but the sales person didn't return my call after she already had the sale. I physically drove 40 minutes to the store to find out what was going on and paid the remainder of the bed. I was told at that time my bed would be delivered on October 3. I was scheduled to be out of town but I canceled my trip to Las Vegas to make sure I was home for the delivery. Wondering what time my bed was going to be delivered I called Mathis Brothers today. I was informed over the phone that the bed wouldn't be arriving in their store until early December. That's not even delivery to my house. Very clean, monitored safety for covid. We were greeted by Valarie Paulino as we entered the store. She was very friendly and understood our desire to look on our own. Valarie gave us space but was available when we needed questions answered. We left for several hours after looking around, then returned as asked for Valarie because she treated us so good. Honestly the worst furniture shopping experience ever! Guess I should've checked the reviews. They really know how to take the happiness out of buying new furniture. They forgot to order chairs for our table for God's sake. They dropped off a chipped table then we had to wait almost another month for the chairs. We also bought a sofa, recliner, and love seat. When they dropped them off they also dropped off a bench for the table.... but no table lol. It took 3 deliveries to drop of all our stuff. The furniture is nice but the online person Craig is very rude an impatient. I was trying to make an online purchase but because there were a couple of issues associated with making the purchase he became rude. Instead of going the extra mile to help me with the purchase, he said, "I believe we have talked about what it would take to make this work and you are not able to come in the store. Is there anything else I can help you with?" Well first of all (Craig), my online order could have been purchased online if he would have taken the time to help me. Anyway, I texted him back asking him for the balance on my Mathis card, and he doesn't text anything. So I wait and there is a long wait, then I text saying "Are you still here?" he says nothing, then I say, "hello!! looks like Craig has left the call, the rating for this is 2 stars." THEN...... SUDDENLY Craig appears and texted, "Sorry, sometimes we are facing high volume." HAHAHAHAHA are you kidding me. Craig is truly a jerk. I then decided to call in and speak with a manager, guess who answers the phone, CRAIG.. I asked Craig to connect me with a manger, and he asked what it was regarding, and I told him that it was regarding him. He supposedly transferred me over to a supervisor named Marcus, but I think it was still CRAIG. I asked him (supposedly Marcus) to transfer me to someone different because he sounded like the same Craig person. He then said he wasn't and HUNG UP THE PHONE IN MY FACE. I called back asking for Marcus, and when MARCUS/CRAIG got on the phone I told him that if he is the supervisor, I can see why is staff is so rude and unprofessional because as we know, great customer service starts at the top. Anyway, I am going to pay them for the items I owe and cut up my Mathis card and tell ALL of my friends and relatives to RUN, RUN away from Mathis Brothers because all they care about is only getting your money. Where do I start, my husband and I had purchased a coffee table just a few days ago. They sell completely broken furniture in the clearance and do not let you know. Customer service is the worst and no one is willing to assist me in exchanging the table. Everyone I have spoken to have been extremely rude. No one knows the meaning of customer services. BEWARE!!!! I would give zero stars if possible! They try to upsell on everything especially their furniture protect plan which is useless!! I bought a very expensive Cheyenne Full Bookcase bed for my daughter in 2019 and was pressured to buy the furniture protection plan for $78 as it would cover "anything" that happened to the bed. Four years later the wood on the middle of the support beam breaks due to poor construction and I call and am rerouted to a third party for the furniture protection plan and they end up telling me that nothing is covered on the bed frame even though I sent pictures of the bed showing clearing that it broke due to a design element not supporting the center of the bed. I call back to Mathis Brothers where I bought the bed and am told "Sorry!, You would need to discuss that with the other company as we have nothing to do with them." Beware - Do not buy anything from here and expect for them to honor their promise of fixing things because they will not. They just throw the blame on their third party company and take no responsibility for the faultiness of their furniture. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would ,Waited on a bed to come in for 3 months. Picked it up today had missing screws,nothing made sense. The instructions had parts that weren't even there. As I'm writing this review I'm returning the bed I just picked up an hour ago...
