I guess that is the bottom line when you go to a tutor center. The director who runs it, Jennifer, is super nice and flexible. The two main instructors who work with my son, Matt and Nick, are able to explain Geometry in a way that my son relates to. It is one thing to be able to explain a subject. it is another to be able to teach it to someone else. I am really impressed by the South Barrington Mathnasium location.

Their math teacher noticed that both of my daughters were performing above their current math level and moved them up a level. Yay! Long story short, they both achieved SAT scores of 1490 and 1520. They were accepted to both Purdue and UIUC. One is for engineering and the other for chemistry. This is significant considering many smart kids were reportedly rejected this year. Kudos to Colin, who was terrific in helping both of my daughters improve their reading/writing scores. C2 also assisted with college essays. They are flexible with rescheduling; sometimes, I felt bad for rescheduling almost every week, but high school kids are busy with extracurricular activities.

I followed every piece of advice, completed all the assigned work, and put in the extra effort outside of sessions. I'm a hard worker--I don't expect results without putting in the work. But after all that time and money, my score did not improve at all. The tutors were friendly, but the strategies they taught me were no different from what I had already learned on my own. There was no personalized approach, no real effort to target my weaknesses, and honestly, it felt like I was just going through the motions in every session. For a program that promises score improvements, this was a complete waste of time and money. If you're looking for real results, I strongly suggest finding another program. Elite Tutoring Place did nothing for me except drain my wallet and leave me frustrated. The owner will respond to this message claiming I never attended Elite Tutoring Place in Wheaton as he did in my google review. Regardless, I did attend Elite Tutoring Place in Wheaton, and I find it concerning that he claims not to have any record of me. I showed up, did the work, and stuck to the program as instructed, yet my score did not improve at all. Nick- Instead of dismissing my experience, maybe take accountability and consider how blaming the student for not following the program correctly when I did everything asked of me is not a great look. We had a long chat with Linda from Jovie about this, and I honestly thought we were on the same page. We trusted them to find us a nanny who would be with us long term. Here's what happened. Our nanny, who was fantastic and really clicked with our kids, ended up leaving for another job Jovie showed her only after being with us for 11 weeks. Once we found out we spoke with our nanny and she said she loved our family, in fact she told us it was a difficult decision to make and she would love to come back if we needed her for date night,etc. This new position Jovie showed her had a schedule that better fit her needs. What's unprofessional is that Jovie didn't give us a heads up until the day before she was set to leave, though they knew about it four days earlier. That hit us hard because it was unexpected, and it put us in a bind trying to figure out what to do next. Two replacements were offered. One with limited experience, her qualifications showed she had only 1 day of infant training. The other replacement we weren't shown a resume because she had not completed orientation. We were not interested in these two options. We were very clear we wanted long term care and ultimately this internal transfer our nanny made hurt our children's wellbeing. And seeing our 4-year-old so upset and confused about why his nanny just disappeared has been the hardest part. Our family trusted Jovie and they let us down and most importantly let our children down. I'm not one to complain, but I feel I have to be straight with other parents out there. Based on what we went through, if you're looking for dependable, long-term childcare, you might want to think twice about Jovie. It's a tough lesson we learned about the difference between what a company promises and what they actually deliver. And then she tried to write a nice description of how GB is growing the kids as a whole, academically, blah, blah. But the truth is they are not teaching the kids anything and the kids are falling behind the district in test scores. The teachers (Fortman and Adams) are so lazy and Bingaman doesn't do anything about it. How can they are growing the kids if they are not teaching them the basics in math, reading, and science. And then there is Bingaman's attitude of, 'Oh, I am the principal so I don't need to talk to the parents or the students'. I have never seen her trying to say hi to the students or any parent at any school event. So awkward when the parents try to avoid her. But really, I don't really care about this BS. I feel sorry for the kids who will struggle in middle school.
