Our son changed schools last year and found the curriculum significantly more difficult at his new school. I have always struggled with math, scoring low on my placement exam, requiring me to take extra math courses in college. I was referred to learning ascent by a friend and finally got the proper help I was in need of. Learning ascent was extremely helpful not only in material but providing flexibility as well. If my primary tutor was unavailable and because of my chaotic schedule, they were able to accommodate by placing me with another tutor so I could get the help I needed. My son Jason's ACT results came yesterday. Back in the fall when the juniors took their pre-ACT test, Jason's score for reading was a 24 - which is why we then contacted Learning Ascent for his 10 sessions of reading and writing strategies. Soon after we were pleased to find out his reading score on the ACT test he took on February 6th is a 30!!! His overall composite score is a 29!! My son completed their ACT prep course this past summer and was able to increase his composite score by 5 points. Even though his scores are high enough for admittance into top tier universities like the University of IL at Urbana-Champaign, he wants to retake the course to see if he can improve his scores even more.
