Sara, however, guided him through the process seamlessly, and he didn't miss a step in the process. Thanks in no small part to her help, he got into his reach schools and is weighing his options. Without her help, we don't know where he'd be. She does all of this at an amazing value. We'd talk to other counselors who charge quite a lot more than she does - and she also offers pro bono services to those who qualify (we didn't, so I don't know the details). Your high schooler will get great support from Sara, plain and simple.

From building a smart college list to helping him brainstorm and polish his essays, she has been organized, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable every step of the way. My son feels more confident and less overwhelmed, and it's been a huge relief for me as a parent to know that he's in such capable hands. Sara has a great way of balancing honest feedback with positivity, and brings out my son's authentic voice in his writing--something I really appreciate. If you're looking for someone who is experienced, responsive, and genuinely invested in your child's success, I highly recommend Sara Denaro. This has been one of the best decisions I've made during the high school years!

First of all, I haven't received any compensation for writing this review. I want to say that C2…read morehas greatly helped both of my twin daughters. We started when they were in 7th grade, and at that time, their math skills were at a pre-algebra level while most of their friends were at a higher level. I decided they needed help, so we joined C2, and since then, their grades have improved. Their math teacher noticed that both of my daughters were performing above their current math level and moved them up a level. Yay! Long story short, they both achieved SAT scores of 1490 and 1520. They were accepted to both Purdue and UIUC. One is for engineering and the other for chemistry. This is significant considering many smart kids were reportedly rejected this year. Kudos to Colin, who was terrific in helping both of my daughters improve their reading/writing scores. C2 also assisted with college essays. They are flexible with rescheduling; sometimes, I felt bad for rescheduling almost every week, but high school kids are busy with extracurricular activities.

My Little Sister is currently taking her ACTs and in the daunting process of applying to colleges…read more A family friend told us about College Planning Co. (in Prospect Heights/Wheeling area) and we decided to sign her up for college planning which included individualized essay review help for the Common Application. One important factor in comparing college prep programs are the costs. What we liked about College Planning Co. is that they focus cohesively on entire process rather than solely on ACTs or SATs like popular SAT/ACT programs such as Princeton Review or Kaplan, etc. We wanted a company that could start with us from the beginning so that by the time she was ready for college, she would be fully immersed and a competitive applicant. We really liked how there was a lot of college career counseling (more individualized than what they offered at her school) and that there was a lot of advice on what she needed to be involved in. What was even more beneficial is that they also offer financial planning tools to help with FAFSA profiles and other scholarship programs. The President/Owner discussed the programs with us and told us about their ACT36 program. We did not sign her up for that program (she's super smart and studied using books) but that might be an option for certain students. I was informed that they use their own individualized instructors for this program. I really liked the location (free parking) but honestly wished it was a little closer to home. She's said things are helpful and her teachers are nice which I'm happy about. I wish I knew about this company a lot sooner (when she was a freshman) so she could take advantage of the entire process.

My experience with RU has been totally different. I have felt welcome there since I stepped foot into the admissions office. You need to realize that Roosevelt is NOT a top school but is reputable. I came in with that knowledge. For the most part, my professors were great. In fact, I felt that they were more engaged with the students and more passionate abut their subjects than my undergrad professors (a large Chicago-area state school). The curriculum was consistent, but I did have a couple rogue professors. Did it get the job done? Yes. Did I learn something? Yes. MBA programs should not be entered lightly, but I would recommend RU for a working professional looking for a reasonably priced program. Class times were mostly at night and there were Saturday options as well.

I had to drive around the entire building to find the entrance that I was supposed to enter through. Once inside I found the hallways to be very cramped. The classrooms all had chalkboards, which I haven't seen in at least 15 years. The bathrooms have not been updated in a long time, 30 years if I had to guess. There were some sound problems with a presentation but the sound engineer was there to fix the issue. There were some nice lounge areas to rest and recharge between sessions on a long day. I cannot recommend Roosevelt University to as a facility to attend conferences at.
