I loved the Schaumburg campus and found loads of support and consideration for me being a working mom and full time student.

It's far off from the main Harper campus which for me was a definite plus. That means parking right outside your classroom and you never have to worry about going up & down aisles to find parking. There is always parking at HPC! HPC has a nice computer lab you have full access to including printing, plus a resource in the lab if you need help with anything. Actually the HPC is full of resources there to help with anything an adult learner could need. It's actually a great facility completely geared to the post bachelor degree adult age learners which is nice. My personal opinion is when you're of that age you do well in classes you take because you truly are committed to the learning aspect in your courses as opposed to just getting by, & retaining information for tests. If you need to take some Harper courses and ever see them offered at HPC, I highly recommend opting to take them here. Great staff, location and minimal issues as opposed to the main campus.

The minute she told me she needed an essay explaining as to why I would like to school there she never mentioned she was going to pass it off to the board for acceptance. Sarah told me she would communicate with me in regards of possibly trying to help me enroll the following year and never followed up wit me. 'Till this day I haven't heard from her. This school doesn't really care about potential new students or even non-Caucasian students. Stay away and go elsewhere where a school actually wants to work with you.

This is a very impressive school strictly focused on MBAs. They have a very "case study" way of looking at each situation. I like that the classes weren't all based on theory. I remember the "all theory" classes...aka...Microeconomics "draw a chart" and "calculate this." I was seriously considering this school for my MBA. I sat in on an Operations class, and it was really impressive that they were actually using REAL data to come up with a solution to improve productivity. The only downfall is that this school is not AACSB accredited which means that if there is ever a need for transferring, it would be difficult. I chose NIU's MBA program instead, but this would have been an easy second choice.

( these online students getaway by chating ) and yet they don't learn anything ( im sure no jobs would want to hire students that chated to work for them especially someone who graduates from aiu online. ) so i'm telling you from experience the school is fake and take my advice don't do it. dont wast your money and loans they will lock your student account if you don't pay ontime and will leave you with a huge student loan you have to pay. after you leave this school they will call you multiple times to try and get you enrolled again. which is wrong no school ever dose that. my advice is to go to a in person community college or university. where you will actually learn the right way.

Subject: Concern Over Sudden Fee Increases for Harper's Open Studio…read more Well friends, I started out writing a positive review about the exceptional instruction and support for learning artisans and artists at Harper. But now, I feel blindsided. The college is tripling the cost for individuals who take a class and then wish to come during the week to finish projects during what's called Open Studio. Most institutions offer Open Studio time without instruction, providing students the opportunity to complete work started in class. Pottery, for instance, involves throwing, building, drying, bisque firing, glazing, and firing again--it's not a one-step process. It's simply not realistic to finish meaningful work in a single three-hour class each week. Current Fees: $279 for an 8-week class (3 hours once a week) New Fees: Add $279 per week for one day of Open Studio (8 sessions) Add another $279 if you need a second Open Studio day in the same week (8 sessions) Even with the senior discount--half price--many of us cannot afford this drastic increase. Working adults who attend after their jobs will also be priced out. So, I ask: What is the goal of a community college? How are our tax dollars supporting creative growth, lifelong learning, and the spirit of community Harper once embodied? Community education (non-credit) students feel under attack. Is the goal to push us into costly for-credit courses? The administration talks about supporting staff and resources, but the students who actually use those resources feel ignored, skeptical, and yes--angry. Many of us have already been supplementing supplies ourselves--bringing sponges, buckets, our own glaze, even strainers--to help keep things running smoothly. We did this gladly, as part of a thriving, supportive creative community. But with these new fees, that goodwill is fading fast. We urge Harper College to reconsider these fee hikes and remember that the heart of community education is inclusion, accessibility, and shared creativity--not profit.
