I visited your establishment on last Saturday in Charlottesville. We walked in and waited to be seated. A female was sitting on the work area talking to another male. Both of them walked away and didn't greet us nor did they offer to seat us at a table. The waiter came to seat us and would be our waiter for the duration of our meal.
We ordered our drinks; I had a couple of business calls that I had to take care of. I sat at the table to take those calls. The waiter came back to ask us if we were ready to order and we declined at that time. My husband called after and we were speaking with him. The conversation took a little bit longer than anticipated because our girls wanted to talk to him.
The waiter returned during the conversation and again we declined to order at that time because my children were on the phone. The waiter came back again and asked if we were ready, we answered yes. He had become agitated towards us. We could tell by his tone. We ordered our entrees. We never saw our waiter again until the entree was delivered to the table.
Several other patrons were at the establishment at the same time. He often went over to their tables and asked them if their meal was ok and gave the refills on drinks often. My daughters made the comment that our waiter didn't like us. He never asked us if our food was too satisfactory. He dropped off our entree and left. The burgers that my daughter and I ordered came with french fries.
We did get a little bit of ketchup. However, the fries were unseasoned. There was no salt and pepper on the table. My daughter got up to find the salt and pepper and out of the three people that were stand in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen offered to help her or ask her what she needed. Two of the individuals standing back there were the manager and our waiter.
My daughter had to flag down the waiter to ask for to go boxes. He came back with three stir foam boxes, one of my daughter's ordered pizza. My daughter ordered a large pizza. She ate two slices of the pizza. Another table that ordered pizza as well and left before we did, and I noticed they received a pizza box to put their leftovers in.
Imagine how many slices of pizza that was left to put in a stir foam container. She piled the pizza on top of each other in the container and the pizza was still hot. She attempted to eat the leftover pizza and of course the toppings had stuck to the back of each other.
The waiter asked if we would need three checks and I said no, just one they are kids. I paid for our food. I asked to speak to a manager before I left the establishment. The manger dressed in jeans and a football jersey came to the front to greet me. I voiced my complaint regarding our service and the treatment we endured.
I asked the manager old he thought my daughter was he said 25, I replied really, she is 13 years old. Why would she be paying for the check. My other daughter is 15 years old. The manager was acting lackadaisical about my experience.
I asked him how old he was, and he said I'm 13 years old. My reason behind asking him was because he seemed rather young. I suspected he was around 23 years of age. I made the comment that I now understand his lackadaisical approach to the conversation because often younger people at that age do not know how to manage a restaurant.
The encounter and service were appalling. I received no resolution and confidence that the waiter would be spoken to. I chose this establishment to eat at because the Richmond location is now closed and my experience there was great.
I will NEVER visit one of your establishments again If it was the last restaurant on earth, I would rather eat dirt. I'm requesting a full refund of 97.00 that I spent in your establishment. When someone comes into your establishment to spend hard earned money and the economy is not in favor of the citizens. You would expect to be treated with respect and that did not happen. read more
