One of several Yemeni coffee shops in the area. For my first visit at this establishment I ended up getting Mofawar which is a medium roast coffee with Cardamon and cream. The beans which are roasted at their warehouse facility yield a very smooth and full bodied coffee with great aromatics with no harsh notes. The cardamon adds a unique tasting note which I have come to appreciate and love when drinking these Yemini coffees. Been meaning to try this place and stopped in today. There were many drink options here even a refresher. But I wanted a coffee taste. They do not have decaf options at all for the coffee and tea. However, I just did a single shot of espresso since I wanted to try something. I opted for gingerbread and dark brown sugar syrup flavors in my drink and it tasted great. I asked for strawberry cold foam too. The drinks were really good. Got the Adeni chai which was strong. Service was very fast. The business was not too crowded when I went here at 6 PM on a Saturday. Ambience is mainly what sell this place. They set up the restaurant really nice especially for the holidays. I love the themes of cream and gold and the lighting was very good too. I will say they have very comfortable seating if you want to sit here for a while and do some work on your laptop. Compared to other Arabic coffee shops I would say this is the best. read more

A wonderful atmosphere and good service. This was a cute coffee place to get work done at or chat with friends. My fiancee and I tried their strawberry and lavender matcha lattes. Unfortunately, neither of us could taste a hint of matcha. Both drinks were overpowered by the strawberry and lavender flavors. I came home and actually made my own matcha latte at home. I haven't tried their coffee, so I cannot speak to that. But I would not advise anyone to get their matcha. read more

Great experience. I make my own cappuccino every morning & rarely drink coffee after noon. But this particular afternoon after meeting up with friends and going to lunch, I looked up and saw the sign for Matari. I decided to go in and check it out. The coffee menu was extensive and the young man took the time to explain the different coffees. The deserts all looked amazing. I decided to treat myself to a cappuccino & a desert & took my order to go. I enjoyed the pistachio covered in chocolate with a bottom chocolate crust. Finally, a Yemeni coffee shop in West Bloomfield! This cafe is beautiful and elegant. They have a good amount of seating. They have a great selection of drinks and pastries. My favorite drinks are the adeni chai and matari chai. Tried a few of their desserts, which all tasted fresh. It's a bit more pricey compared to other Yemeni coffee shops, but it's worth it for the good service and luxurious ambiance. I appreciate they stay open late. read more
