Roasters tend to have the better flavor coffees. Parking in the private lot gets packed, no street parking either. Be patient, you maybe driving around a few times to try to find a closer parking spot to the roaster. It's busy this morning. Heavy traffic and gets a bit stuffy in here. Not a lot of seating and it feels like everyone is on top of each other. The order counter gets clogged up for the folks trying to traverse through to exit. The layout doesn't work so well. Ordered a 16 oz golden harvest latte with oat milk, 16 oz pumpkin pie latte with oat milk, 12 oz green tea, overnight oat, chocolate croissant, bacon and Gruyère, herb and cheese biscuit and goat olive and oregano pastries. $48.57 Their coffee shots come in twos. The green tea is weak of a brew for the 12 oz of water. Lacks any flavor. The goat, olive and oregano is good, especially in the toaster oven. The herb and cheese biscuit is really dry, decent flavor, definitely dry. The pumpkin latte is okay, so-so flavor, not enough punch with two shots of espresso for the 16 oz. Could use a third for sure. The golden harvest latte flavor is nice, definitely different. Not a strong as far as a brew. The chocolate croissant may as well have been a plain croissant, hardly any chocolate to it. The overnight oats would likely be better without the extremely dry peanut butter, makes it feel as if you are eating flour and nothing else. It at least makes you drink more of their coffee. The golden harvest and the goat olive and oregano are worth a repeat. Skip the rest.

Absolutely one of my favorite coffee shops I've ever been to; there hasn't been a single drink here I've been disappointed by but the vanilla nitro has been my consistent go to. Their seasonal drinks also do not disappoint, you can tell how much they care with the in house syrups and offerings. The service is always quick and friendly. It's a busy spot in downtown Farmington and the parking is very limited. But it's worth it every time. The owner and baristas are always hard at work and the results show in their drinks! I'm sad I don't get to frequent it as often as I used to.

Excellent latte! Absolutely one of the best lattes I have had in Metro Detroit. You can tell this drink was made with a superior coffee bean, which they roast themselves. The Crema is nice and rich and balances the coffee just right. This business is a tad rustic on the in side and has both indoor and outdoor seating where the inside seating is a bit limited where it can be difficult to find an open table often due to the popularity of this business. However on nicer days there is ample outdoor seating both in front and behind the coffee shop with a garden type setting in the rear. Nice! Relative to staff they are very friendly and clearly versed on how to make a superior cup of coffee. True Barista's. Overall, if you are a fan of well-made, coffee drinks, than this business is an absolute must try as you will not be disappointed! A true gem of Farmington.

There are 3 cafe in downtown Farmington and in my opinion this is the best one. They take good care of their customers and coffee beans. Coffee is well balance and consistent. Bake goods and snacks are ok, nothing to write home about.

Super friendly staff, nice cozy interior, small but decent selection of muffins and such. Worth the extra drive than to go to a Timmy or Dunk'n.

Mocha. Good chocolate.

Logistics. In downtown, quaint Farmington; located on Grand River Ave and east of Farmington Road. Vibe. Chill squared. Limited seating; about 20 inside, and maybe 4 outside? LOVED the alternative music; not too loud. Decor is simple; subtle space furnishings, but not overdone, like their logo. The WIFI password is fitting for the establishment's name. Made me smile. F&B. WOW. LOVED THE PASTRIES -- croissants were delish. Mocha was elevated -- good chocolate -- will come back for THAT! See pics. Hospitality. SUPER friendly. This is a small town, and seemed the baristas knew a lot of the regulars. Of note. Loo clean and stocked. Parking private in lot and street. We came because of the name of the cafe, and was not at all disappointed. We were quite pleased overall.

we absolutely love ground control coffee. We were going here every week sometimes twice a week but due to our own budgets we are only going here once per week sometimes every other week we definitely would come here multiple times a week if money allowed us to go I mean shoot even every day or every other day if I could I love this place the staff is friendly. The decor is wonderful. The quality of service and coffee is amazing. Their drinks are always delicious. This place really never misses.

My cousin and I wanted to try a new coffee shop in the area, so we stopped by Ground Control yesterday afternoon. The interior had a minimalistic yet cozy and homey ambiance. There were plenty of seating, so we had no trouble finding a table to enjoy our coffee and pastry. GOAT CHEESE, OLIVE & OREGANO - 6.99 We shared this savory croissant between the two of us. It was thinner and flatter than the usual usual thick, flaky croissants I'm used to. The goat cheese paired nicely with the oregano, and the croissant was warmed up well. However, the pastry was a bit stale. Initially, we expected the croissant to be flavored with olive oil or olives, but there were actual olives tucked inside. While the pastry was unique and I enjoyed the goat cheese, it fell a little short given the price. GINGERBREAD LATTE (12 OZ) - 5.75 The latte was not too sweet, and I could taste real ginger in each sip. However, the ginger and molasses flavors were a bit muted. I would have preferred a more robust flavor. Despite this, the latte was still pretty enjoyable. Overall, Ground Control has a nice vibe, and I'd return if I'm in the area. They also roast their own beans here, and the prices are pretty reasonable -- each bag is under $20.

I love love love this place. I'm a regular. My favorite coffee ever in Farmington. Flavors made in house, best beans for my espresso machine at home, clean and vibey atmosphere, friendly baristas, and I love seeing all the connections and gatherings that take place here all the time.

Updating my review to 5 stars. This is my new "go-to" coffee shop. I like the vibe. The service is always friendly. It can get busy, but the staff is always pleasant. They offer to warm up the pastry. They have indoor and outdoor space (front and back). The tables are square and a little larger, which are good for working, which I appreciate. A touch more expensive, but I think worth it.

Iced Flat White

Favorite coffee shop stop in the area. Super cute vibes and friendly customer service. I got an iced flat white and it was delicious. Wish you got a little bit of a bigger size for the price but I have many good things to say about Ground Control. Love that they roast beans fresh. I have shipped beans online to friends before which is very convenient!

Vanilla Oat Latte

Overall, good service and a great place to work/hang out with friends. That said, the vanilla oat latte fell a little short of my expectations based on Instagram posts and overall feedback. Could just be a one off latte gone wrong so I'll try again and see if the next coffee is better. Check it out!

FINALLYYYYYYYYY!!!! A local coffee that can make craft coffee in mugs that make me feel like I'm by a fireplace. AND I DONT NEED TO DRIVE THAT FARRRRRRR! Ground control reminds me of some coffee stops I made whenever I'm in Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids or Detroit. The space is a little tight, but the interior is very comfortable and sparks motivation to work outside of home. I'm kicking myself because I didn't know they opened this September. I've been going to Starbucks as a constant routine because of the accessibility, parking and proximity to the farmers market. But after coming here? I will be changing my habits and supporting this local business. The staff is very genuine and charismatic and the coffee is good. You even get a little coffee art to brighten your day :) To the owners, PLEASE let me know when you decide to have later hours. I'll be a regular then when my kids would allow it! lol

This…read morebusiness is a Barista style operation where they have basically alll the drinks you would expect to see at a coffee shop of this nature. For my first drink here I ended up getting a latte where the espresso was made from organic fresh roasted in house beans. The drink was very well made with the correct ratio of milk to espresso and was creamy, balanced, where the espresso clearly shined through and most importantly the drink was quite tasty. Relative to staff and facility, Joe the owner greeted me as I walked in the door and was very friendly and outgoing where he knew the names of several customers as they walked into the coffee shop. Joes friendly demeanor appears to be one of the strengths of this business, aside from his excellent coffee, as evidenced the return customers that came in during the short period I was in his shop. The facility is quite clean with a nice coffee shop vibe to it. It has a smaller footprint with a limited number of tables for indoor dining where they also sell fresh roasted coffee beans by the bag, some pastries, and prepared food among other things. Overall great coffee at a reasonable price and a friendly owner makes this a shop not to be missed if you in the Novi area. Especially if you are a coffee geek like me.

The beans which are roasted at their warehouse facility yield a very smooth and full bodied coffee with great aromatics with no harsh notes. The cardamon adds a unique tasting note which I have come to appreciate and love when drinking these Yemini coffees. Relative to the facility it is a bright ultra clean restaurant with a nice industrial vibe. The aesthetics of this business along with their superior coffee make for a very enjoyable and relaxing environment to savor your cup of coffee. Nice! Overall great coffee and a nice relaxing environment are hard to beat where you should check this business out if you are in the West Bloomfield area. I will definately be returning in the very near future!

There were people who were hard at work and others who were quietly talking to each other. There was a place for me to sit and enjoy my macarons. The macarons were so tasty and just perfect. I picked out the strawberry and took the recommendation of the cashier for the other one. The vanilla coffee cake macaron was quite tasty and I would have it again. It was so nice that they were able to switch my large chai from a stay in the cage version (aka a large coffee cup) to a to-go one when I had to leave. That made it even more special. I will definitely come back.

Was there in early June and the coffee and service were both good, as was the savory pastry I got. The main issue with this place is the noise... not for the usual reason in coffeeshops where they play music too loud, but it's a raucous and busy place, which speaks well of the business. But far worse than noisy conversation there's this bell on both the front and back entrances that plays a little five note electric tune every time someone comes in or leaves... Why is it there? Why is it needed? The fact that only a few people have noted it here perhaps speaks more of our noise-polluted lives than anything else, but it's maddening as this thing goes off literally every minute or more, constant, tintinnabulations of the bell, bell, bell, bell, bell... There was an employee taking a break on his phone listening to YouTube videos out loud, too... I guess we're all just so used to this now. So if you want a quiet cafe to get work done, this ain't it. Maybe it's more of a Central Perk scene, with people meeting socially, all who liked the place before it became cool.
