This place is an absolute gem! Great coffee and bakery items. The service is amazing, they make everything fresh and serve it to the table. The ambiance is fresh, quiet and a great place to hang out.

This place was cute! An old church turned coffee shop. Lots of fun artwork inside and interesting sculptures outside. There was a ton of seating indoors and a nice patio outdoors. We came by here around 130pm on a weekday and there weren't many people. Blue Hat coffee offers breakfast and lunch food, desserts and a wide variety of drinks. The pastries looked really yummy. I decided to order one of the favorites, a toasted coconut chai latte. It was sweet and delicious. The woman working was very nice and helpful. I would come back here again!

Stopped in on a Sunday morning for a cup of coffee and a breakfast bite. The coffee was good. There is a variety of morning pastries. Some looked homemade. I had a cinnamon thingy which I don't think was homemade. Coffee was in a to go cup and pastry served on a paper plate. Excellent work space. The space reminded me of a library. There are a lot of work tables. The space reminds me more a library. People were whispering. They have board games to play, and artwork for sale on the wall. Service was friendly.

HIIII BLUE HAT! WHERE ARE YOUR REVIEWS?! I have found a new place to frequent!!! The barista has experience in the service industry and it shows in the way he interacts with patrons behind the counter and how he busses/converses with tables after they receive their order. As someone who works in the same industry it's so refreshing to meet a personality like that. It makes the coffee shop stand out more from it's local competitors. Because the interior... lacks life and we all know it. Yes. The indoor seating area is outdated and makes you feel like you're in a school cafeteria or a cafe area of a library. HOWEVER: it's been only two months since they finally opened (They've been working on this for over a year to open their doors) and it has a lot of potential to bring some more character and color. They already have pieces from local artists for sale! The cafe has very high ceilings and I'm excited to see what they decide to cover up some of the naked walls. Maybe a nice tapestry or quilt? Maybe have a contest or a community project so we can bring some color to you? for free? lol. Maybe some donation from neighbors with plant clippings? who doesn't love plants. Whatever you need, we're here to support you. We're excited you're here. I am a big fan so far. The tables are thick, sturdy and big. There is so many jokes with that statement- but lets be mature here. I have room to put my work out without needing to use chairs for extra leverage or feel the pressure to leave because other local places are too cramped. Blue Hats chairs are outdated but.. they actually have padding and it's comfortable. It's comfortable folks and I'm not mad about it. I ordered something off menu. I requested something spicy and he made it happen without any problems. He told me a little bit about how things run: housemade syrups, bake their own fresh noms like: eclairs, scones, cookies, cakes (things included in pictures in this review). So if you don't judge a book by it's cover- I think this is a great spot for you to try. Be mindful that they just opened. The coffee is fairly priced, it's good, the atmosphere is quiet and the ambiance offers a lot of space. I am excited to see this business grow. Try it out. Park in the lot right next to it. It's a great find!

This place just opened not long ago. Inside a renovated house and also sharing space with the free masons secret society this independent coffee shop sits in a cafe like area. It is well lit and spacious. Not much decorations yet but they were working on filling the space with art. For a place that just opened they seemed to be doing well there was a few people there. Coffee was pretty good/average at an average price. Definitely will be back to see how the menu evolves and love the local art.

It was just a 4 min walk. How could I resist. Walked in and you get the smell. It's great. The bakery case is not huge like in Ann Arbor it's about 1/4th of that. You can smell the fresh made coffees. And there are some places to sit toward the back. It's a long space. Not big. I honed in on the mango pastry and banana pastry. I have seen these on-line and was dying to try them. They basically look like the real fruit but it's pastry with mousse and the fruit on the inside. Other bakeries do this too I think it's like a fun trend. I got both and brought them home to Ohio. My partner and I cut them in half and tried them. They were both good. Each tasted like their respective fruit. I think the mango was slightly better. But I'd get both again. They are light. You'd might not think so but they are. You can eat one and it's not sickening sweet and heavy. The opposite light with a touch of the fruit sweet. Really good! Now I am curious how other bakeries do it too.

The chicken had it's own house sauce on it. Husband had one of their breakfast sandwich. They used high quality cheese. The egg was also prepared well. It was fluffy and lightly browned. It's hard to find a place that does not burn eggs. I think the chefs here are quite talented. A few people did complain about the price here, which is fair because our meal was expensive . But I think it was worth it as the food had not only been fresher, higher quality than most, but also it was skillfully prepared

It's off-season and I needed a raspberry tart to use for flavor cues for a client's launch of their new Raspberry Tart Wafer protein bar flavor. Due to a food allergy I didn't want to style the tart myself. I contacted a number of local bakeries as well as Plum Market, Whole Foods, Zingermans and more. None could accommodate my specific request. Finally, I came across sweet dreams and they were able to make me a beautiful raspberry tart to use for my images, based on the appearance, I wanted and in a timely manner. The location and store seem very nice too. And the pastry itself turned out great! Check out the images to see how pretty it was and how perfectly it worked.
