Was there in early June and the coffee and service were both good, as was the savory pastry I got. The main issue with this place is the noise... not for the usual reason in coffeeshops where they play music too loud, but it's a raucous and busy place, which speaks well of the business. But far worse than noisy conversation there's this bell on both the front and back entrances that plays a little five note electric tune every time someone comes in or leaves... Why is it there? Why is it needed? The fact that only a few people have noted it here perhaps speaks more of our noise-polluted lives than anything else, but it's maddening as this thing goes off literally every minute or more, constant, tintinnabulations of the bell, bell, bell, bell, bell... There was an employee taking a break on his phone listening to YouTube videos out loud, too... I guess we're all just so used to this now. So if you want a quiet cafe to get work done, this ain't it. Maybe it's more of a Central Perk scene, with people meeting socially, all who liked the place before it became cool.

The beans which are roasted at their warehouse facility yield a very smooth and full bodied coffee with great aromatics with no harsh notes. The cardamon adds a unique tasting note which I have come to appreciate and love when drinking these Yemini coffees. Relative to the facility it is a bright ultra clean restaurant with a nice industrial vibe. The aesthetics of this business along with their superior coffee make for a very enjoyable and relaxing environment to savor your cup of coffee. Nice! Overall great coffee and a nice relaxing environment are hard to beat where you should check this business out if you are in the West Bloomfield area. It's a small space with very limited seating and it gets pretty crowded, which is understandable given how popular it seems to be. Because of that, it's not really a place where you'd want to settle in to work or hang out for a while. Esthetically, the tiramisu latte was pretty but the whipped cream is so thick I didn't feel like the combination of flavors mixed very well. The agent latte was okay. The pizza...I had such high hopes but ultimately wasn't very impressed. I'm not sure if I would've felt differently if we had been able to eat it right away. But almost $30 for the pizza (size is slightly bigger than a trader joes frozen pizza), we didn't think it was worth it.
