I would say that pricing was average, not high or low. So in other words pricing was fare. I received lower quotes but I was not comfortable that the others would be able to complete what was needed as they did not take the time to understand the project. Called several so-called "certified electricians" to get a permitted 240V NEMA receptacle installed. Almost all of them whined, moaned, and gave outrageous quotes -- except Mat from Mat Electric. He came by on Friday to look at the job, had the permit by Monday, and installed the outlet the same day. His price was far lower than the others. We have a GFCI error on the thermostat of the bathroom underfloor heating. MAT electricians came to troubleshoot. They worked valiantly but no obvious solution was found. Then Eugene himself came back on a second visit and on his own volition. He received guidance from the product manufacturer of the system but the issue is too difficult to troubleshoot. Eugene wanted to reimburse me fully but I refused because of all his hard work that took over an hour. I appreciated the gesture very much though. Honest and hard working owner. I've had the pleasure of working with Eugene on a few projects. The first instance was installing an air gap for my dishwasher. The old owner of the home installed a soap dispenser where the air gap should be and Eugene came over, installed the new air gap and was on his way. I tried running the dishwasher and noticed the water was spewing out. I advised him on the situation and he immediately came back, unclogged the pipes that connect from the air gap to the garbage disposal and it worked like a charm! He did not charge extra.
