My dinner at the new Mastro's in Golden Nugget was like poetry in motion. The staff/management/chefs etc are trained so perfectly it was like a whirlwind of movement serving patrons yet not visible to diners. I did overhear a few things like "go left circle around I will meet you in back ( this was to Not Disturb diners) the food was Perfect. Sea Bass and sides were great. We really had a memorable dinner thank you. Pricey of course so it is a real treat to dine there. Live music was great too.

Decided to try this steak house last minute on Saturday and was able to book a reservation. We had the lobster bisque which was yummy! We shared the dry aged ribeye and it was delicious. We also had the white cheddar Mac and cheese and asparagus and differently recommend those delicious sides! I also ordered a watermelon margarita and I loved it! The service seemed very new but they tried their best. The resturant has only been open for a couple of weeks but definitely can tell that with time the service will get better. The restaurant is very small and loud but very nicely decorated. The live music was great and a very added cool Vibe. I felt like I was in a loud club and had a hard time having a conversation with my husband while listening to everyone one else peak loudly to have a conversation as well. Other than that it's was really cool

Decided to head to South Lake for the holiday and made reservations for Mastros. I had went a couple weeks prior and saw they had just opened. We got a lovely waitress who was from Argentina and treated us so well. From beginning to end. They had live music from this AMAZING artist Stephania I was so obsessed she had such a beautiful voice. I would go anywhere to see and hear her again. She sang such great songs also! I ordered gin dirty martini, and they bring you the shaker with remaining drink and it's definitely worth the price because it's like a 2 for 1. We went with the NY strip steak, and split it as they only had a 16 oz version. The broccolini and Caesar salad was great. They don't have the affogato on the dessert menu, but I asked if they could make one and surprisingly they said yes and I was beyond ecstatic lol. It was truly such a beautiful experience and dinner.

Visited the newly opened Mastro's inside Golden Nugget and while it was the same good and consistent flavor of Mastro's the set up of the tables in the restaurant was not good and created such a loud atmosphere along with some undesirable conversations and unacceptable situations. The atmosphere is just not the same as other Mastro's I'm used to. The food was great and the steak had great flavor as well. The service started out very rough and took about 18 mins to even get a menu and only after we told the host/'mgr I believe he may have been, that we hadn't been greeted or even been provided a menu. It then took another about 10 mins to get water. The uncomfortable situations were that the seating was so closely set together and the restaurant was so loud, people are literally yelling at each other to have conversations and some are not conversations I want to listen to. Additionally to get to go to the restroom, you literally rubbing up against people to get through all the tables. Servers were running into each other and other patrons and the servers were slow in getting to take care of their clients. This is not the ambiance I'm used to for such a classy restaurant. Additionally, I'm sure this creates uncomfortable situations for the servers as well. The venue is the smaller venue I've been too, and I know it's new, but surely need to redo the existing seating or expand to avoid this poor service. Overall, I will probably revisit again because I like Mastro's but if I walk up and the restaurant is full and have not reconfigured the seating, I would rather go elsewhere to avoid this initial experience again. Again the food is great as always with the steak cooked how I like it, but again the atmosphere took some away from the meal that I had to drop it two stars. It was just so uncomfortable for my guest and I.

I always have a dirty martini, extra dirty with blue cheese, stuffed olives, and they always make it the best.

Masters is one of our favorite restaurants. We have been to several locations in California. But we most frequent Matros ocean club in Newport Beach California. We were excited to see Mastro's in South Lake Tahoe, where we were vacationing. We walked in to have a drink and some dessert, of course the butter cake. The next day was my birthday so we made reservations for dinner. The manager Mikey was so accommodating and friendly. The restaurant turned out very nice. It's a smaller Astros but still Matros never fails. Also the service was absolutely phenomenal. Our server Chandra was a doll. Next time I'm in Lake Tahoe you better believe I will be back. They made my birthday very special with a personalized menu and the piano player singing special request for my husband for my birthday.

I had the Gambler Steak Burger with garlic parmesan fries. My brother got the Blackened Salmon Ceasar Salad. I was surprised when the waiter said "good choice the salmon here is delicious". They have wild caught king salmon delivered twice a week. We split our food. The salmon was as good or better than any piece of salmon I have ever had. It melted in your mouth. My burger was cooked medium to perfection. Super juicey and delicious. Among the best burgers I have ever had no joke; they grind their own meat. The hand cut fries were really good too. Service is friendly and attentive. Great beer selection and plenty of TVs to catch the game you are after. We liked it so much that we went back and ordered the same dishes the next day and they were perfect again. They passed the consistency test. Yes two days in a row; thats how good it was. I looked at the bad reviews and it must have been off days for those bad experiences.

They probably use corn starch instead of flour, because they aren't overly breaded. Shoutout to the prep workers there (whatup Zoe!), because the food is like crazy good, hot, and fast. For most of the food, they have this insane rotating grill that you can see from the street. Super cool operation Steak salad is a must as well. It's so refreshing! It's got a balsamic dressing, some bleu cheese, and either raisin or dried cranberry and maybe walnuts. I don't actually know because I shovel it down my throat lol. Burgers are the best in the area. Even their less popular items are very well done. Recently got a sausage and peppers sandwich that was as good as what I routinely make at home. Atmosphere is amazing. All the employees go above and beyond. I usually sit at the bar and play any of their video gambles. You win some, you tip extra, you leave happy. You lose some and get some beers on the house. I'll go there if I go to Nevada beaches, or if I want to catch a game. South Lake resident and I generally avoid stateline for it's crowds but I'll head up to Lucky Beaver just for the food. I'm assuming they do PPV MMA fights which is another excuse to show up going forward Shoutout to Bruno as well. Awesome bartender. There's also a few awesome gals who's names escape me at the moment. It's a super chill place while having a great vibe and energy The other patrons are just fun people, it's easy to have a conversation with the guy sitting next to you. It's a well known place but I think it's still a hidden gem amongst all that chaos lol. For a 24 hour place, it's very chill. Never had a bad experience. It's good for hanging out with friends but I wouldn't hesitate bringing my nieces and nephews and whole family there. Only critique is parking. They don't comp it, but all parking is paid now at the casinos, so it's no surprise, that's just the standard.. I think if you get in and out in less than an hour parking is free, so keep that in mind. You can also park further away at other free parking areas and walk.

We arrived at 5pm for their Early Bird Special, and were warmly greeted at the door by Frank, their elegant and gracious GM. Jeremy, our friendly and prompt waiter, seated us at a table that featured a 180 degree view of the lake while Carlos provided backup with huge smiles and the most pleasant demeanor imaginable. Amazing service, easily some of the best I've experienced. The Early Bird Special includes a soup or salad and a dessert with an entree, making it one of the best deals on the lake. My wife had an AMAZING butternut squash soup (a special that night), while I had a classic Caesar salad with anchovies on the side. I ordered the prime rib which arrived a perfect medium rare and full of flavor with the charred edges I adore, while my wife's Chilean sea bass had a fantastic tajin seasoning that highlighted the crust of the fish that enveloped the moist, meltingly delicious meat underneath. For dessert we had the huckleberry gelato and an oven-crisp crème brûlée. Do yourself and favor and join Frank and his team for dinner on the lake. I assure you it will be one of the more memorable meals you'll ever have.

If you're looking for a nice steak dinner, we much prefer Friday's Station across the street, which is also owned by Caesars Entertainment. In our experience, the food at Sage Room has always been underwhelming, especially considering the prices and the fact that it's supposed to be a more upscale dining experience. What really disappointed me this visit was the filet. It arrived with unusual char marks on top that looked almost decorative, but another filet at our table didn't have the same markings. The texture was awful--it reminded me of one of those "meat glue" filets made by binding smaller pieces of beef together instead of serving a whole cut. Whether it actually was or not, that's exactly how it looked and tasted to me. It was also chewy and overcooked, making it one of the worst filets I've had, especially at this price point. The rest of the food was okay, but nothing stood out or justified the cost. I will say the service was good. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, so no complaints there. Overall, we won't be returning. If you're going to spend this kind of money, I'd recommend going across the street to Friday's Station instead. We've had much better experiences there.

We started with the fried mushrooms, which was very good with a thick breading that had a spicy kick. Most of the group decided on burgers, and I decided on the filet Oscar's with baked potato on fried asparagus. The filet was good, but was cooked medium well instead of medium, so it was a bit dry. The Crab Oscar was more like a shredded crab salad so it didn't compliment the filet to me. The fried asparagus was really good, with a thick batter, that I probably would've enjoyed as an appetizer and preferred it grilled with the filet. My granddaughter was treated to a chocolate cake birthday dessert and it was so rich and delicious. Our server, Senia was wonderful, and attended to us so efficiently, and was very nice. We parked in the Nugget parking lot, which can be pricey, but the restaurant validates, so it's free when dining. Just remember to bring your ticket in for validation.

All things considered, we had a good experience, and we'd likely return next time we visit the area. The positive? The food was excellent. The negative? The hostesses and the waiter. My wife had the Salmon Oscar and simply loved it. She got the broccoli as a side, and it was a plentiful helping. She also said the broccoli was fresh and nicely cooked. I had the pairing of the NY and grilled shrimp, with a baked potato as a side. The steak was cooked perfectly. The shrimp were a bit small, but the lemon butter was a nice pairing. It's hard to mess up a baked potato, but I've seen it done. This one was perfect and had just the right amount of butter. For dessert, we shared the carrot cake...boy, was this good! We were sorry we didn't order two. We would return for the carrot cake alone. It was very moist, and the frosting was just the right amount of sweet. We loved it! When we arrived, there was a gaggle of folks at the hostess stand. Not one greeted us warmly, nor were we told to enjoy our meal. We had added a "special occasion" during the booking. No one at the restaurant ever mentioned it. It was extremely disappointing! The waitress was tepid. She would warm up at times, but it was definitely not our best experience. The staff left us wanting, especially for a nice dinner and a special occasion. If we decided not to return, it would rest solely on the experience with the staff.

The Seafood Plateau was incredible with King Crab Legs, Jumbo Prawns, Mussels, Lobster Tail, Ahi Tuna Poke, and Salmon Poke. It was a tad spendy, but since it's shareable for 4-5, I'd say it's worth it and would definitely order again next time. We also had the Crab Cake, two sizeable patties -- a little bit more flavorful and larger than your typical Crab Cake. The Grilled Broccolini was good, but typical. Lastly, for appetizers, the Crispy Pork Belly was also a hit -- although I did not get a taste as it is smaller and not so much shareable. The pièce de résistance was the Tomahawk Steak. Cooked perfectly medium-rare and served with Chimichurri and Au Poivre sauces on the side. The steak was very flavorful without any sauce, IMO. Served with Grilled Asparagus and Lobster Mac & Cheese. Kelsey provided excellent suggestions and service throughout. The ambiance was nice -- not dressy, but not casual. Resort attire, is what they call it, I think. We will definitely be back!

We placed an order for a round of drinks. We ordered the sheep's clothing and big bad wolf. The drinks came out in a beautiful presentation and couldn't wait to try them. I was hoping it would be more refreshing and spicy and it just tasted like it was full of a mixer and had so much cotton candy on the edge you had to pull it off to drink it. Again, beautiful presentation but taste fell flat. The big bad wolf was a little sweet but there was no complaints on that one other than the wolf in there leaving your lips a little black. Not the most convenient. My husband ordered the huff and puff after and he enjoyed that one a lot better. I decided to give it another go and ordered an espresso martini which tasted a lot better.
