Mr. Williams assured me a 26K unit would suffice (after earlier contractors pushed larger, much more expensive units). At every step, the process unfolded just as I was told. When the generator arrived, it was easy to set up the site visit to begin work. Dustin and his crew arrived on time, worked efficiently and got the unit installed with no problems. Dustin walked me through that process as well. And when the gas company (finally) made the necessary connections, Dustin was back out to finish the job. I needed two light fixtures upgraded in my home, one for the front door hallway and the other for my dining room. With hundreds of electrical service companies to choose from, I quickly went for one of the few with the highest customer reviews and compliments. I took a chance on Master of Generators and Electrical Service and am happy that I did. I almost canceled because it was nearly 4 pm, and I hadn't heard from them since 2 pm. I wasn't confident Christian could finish the work before dinner time. When I called to cancel, a professional lady offered to get Christian and Jeremy's ETA, which went well. They apologized for running behind schedule. However, I am not off the hook because I should have believed MGES when they stated that the electricians would "arrive between the hours of 12 pm and 4 pm," which I now know, in hindsight, they would have. Christian and Jeremy are fantastic electricians. They came through the door dripping with experience, confidence, and wonderful personalities. One worked on the hallway light fixture while the other tackled the dining room. When Christian put up the flush mount fixture for the hallway within 10 minutes, he joined Jeremy to help assemble a complex chandelier. That chandelier encompassed several bars to connect to eight lights. Despite my initial concerns, the task was completed in a remarkably short time, with the total service time being under an hour. Christian and Jeremy not only met but exceeded my expectations. Their service was impeccable, and the price I paid for such efficient and high-quality work was more than reasonable. I've had a few services over the past year after moving into a new home. Masters installed a chandelier, a ceiling fan and a few light fixtures, and recently completed a generator installation. After a storm caused a power outage, I found out it gets VERY dark in my tiny cul de sac so I started searching for generators. I shopped around and got the most patient advice, a fantastic price, and a generator installation date within a much shorter time frame than I anticipated. Gerald explained what size generator would best meet my needs. Particularly during the pandemic, I am often working from home and didn't want to have to choose what appliances or systems would run during a power outage. If I'm investing, might as well make it all the way worth it, right? Anyway, I decided on a 22kw model and although I wouldn't admit it under oath, I want a power outage. Just kidding!!! I got to see what would happen when Christian went through the post installation testing. He turned off the power and the generator kicked on. I contacted this company based off of their reviews, which were great. I definitely see why. I contacted them through Yelp and they responded within minutes. They informed me of their appointment times and I had an appointment scheduled in minutes. I ended up having to cancel that appointment and told them that I probably would have to go with another company because their hours of operation matched my work schedule. They went out of their way and hours to accommodate me and my schedule. I was having an issue where an outlet in my house needed to be switched out and I was too afraid to touch it myself. Friends and family had offered to change it, but I did not feel comfortable and refuse to play with anything that can start an electrical fire. Great thing that I did because the outlet had popped sparks, started melting plastic and flipped the breaker. When I flipped the breaker back on, the only thing working were the lights in the room... none of the outlets worked... Which apparently was a safety feature / emergency cut off to prevent fires. The gentleman showed up to my home outside of hours of operation... told me what the issue was... Made the repair... and was on his way. He wasn't even there for 30 minutes. He explained to me how someone had tried to replace it themselves and left a wire too long... He said it seems simple... But if done incorrectly can be disastrous. He made a recommendation, but did not push me to commit at this time or in the future to switch out all outlets, because previous owners were CLEARY DIYers. I was charged a fee to come out which I was told would go toward the repairs if I decided to go though with the repairs. So it was the consultation fee or the repairs less the consultation fee. I was only charged the consultation fee and my problem was solved. This company is going in my "Home repairs arsenal." Thanks guys! read more

This is not a very honest company, they do bait and switch tricks. They charged me 150 to come trouble shoot a breaker that keep tripping and showed up at 5:00 pm. They told me after 5 minutes that I just had to move a microwave from one side of counter to other!! That was the extent of visit. They told me the charge would go towards repair so since they didn't do any work I asked about adding outlet and instead of doing work for cost of trip, they wanted to charge me another 175.00 to add outlet. I am searching around and calling several electricians as I am wanting a big job done for my home. I need a panel rejuvenation and four ceiling fans installed with all new wiring. I showed him what i wanted done and he told me the cost of $625. It's been a while since i have had to have electrical work done, so i was surprised at the cost and told him i thought it would cost between $300 to $400 and he started laughing and started to leave. I don't think it is right to laugh at someone for their lack of information. But that's ok. I have the last word as who i give my money to. In this case not him. Stay FAR away. We hired Gerald and his team to reinstall a ceiling fan for us. Pretty simple. Unfortunately, during the process, his technician Mike ended up breaking the fan completely - even saying out loud "whoops, I just broke it" before leaving our home with no solution. Upon reaching out to Gerald, he informed me that he was "doing us a favor" by not charging us for the "service" and he would not be compensating us for the broken item. Interesting. I let Gerald know I would be writing this honest review, and I can imagine he will respond claiming the fan was "broken before they arrived". Fortunately, I have photos to show that is untrue. If you are looking for a certified team of professionals, choose literally ANYONE other than Masters Electrical Service. As a side bar - we hired them off of Thumbtack and one hour after I called and spoke my concerns to Gerald, they removed the job from the account so that we were unable to leave a review on Thumbtack - yikes. Gerald came out on a Thursday to give me an estimate on installing the generator I purchased from Costco. While they were not the cheapest estimate, The range of estimates I received from other larger electrical shops were much higher. He offered a turn-key proposal that was reasonable. I could tell that he had done a number of installation jobs before. He and his team were back out the next Tuesday to do the job. They finished when they said they would. She said there was a new person in the office and that it shouldn't have happened the way it did. She offered me a discount to make up for their mistake (she said typically you can pay day of service but their system was down that day). I am pleased with the way they handled the situation and followed up with me. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I REALLY enjoyed working with Ray. He was fabulous - very polite and knew exactly what to do. He was also timely and got the job done quick. That said, the poor review is for their office management. We tried to pay for the services we received day of, but apparently we needed to be invoiced (I would have preferred to write a check and be done with it). Our service was done by Ray on a Saturday. On Monday I received a call to pay - however I'm home with a newborn and missed the call. By Thursday I received a note saying that if payment wasn't received that day (this is exactly 4 business days after service) that I would be sent to collections. Really?? That's so unprofessional- send an invoice and allow an adequate amount of time for someone to get back with you especially since you don't allow payment day of service. I couldn't believe they made such a ridiculous threat. I have no intention of using them in the future if that's how they treat their customers. read more

I came to visit my mother in law and found that she was having some electrical issues. Called Masters and they had two techs come out and check the electrical work that same day. The techs told me the sensors on the lights went bad so they replaced both units. The total cost was $530 which I thought was a little pricey, but overall it was worth it to get the issue inspected and fixed the same day. Master's is great. I reached out to them to help with a ceiling fan issue. I spoke with Antoinette who did a great job getting me the info I needed and scheduling me for repair in less than 48 hours. My technician Ray called ahead as promised and arrived on time. I ended up having to replace the ceiling fan because the motor was dead but no worries because Ray worked with me to get a new one installed. My husband and I highly recommend Masters Generator and Electrical Service. We live in an area with above-ground power lines and lose power frequently. Masters Generator did an EXCELLENT job installing a Briggs & Stratton emergency generator (powered by natural gas) that kicks in automatically if we have a power outage. Gerald and his technicians gave us a very reasonable quote and completed the installation in two days, working through heavy rains to complete the job. They were VERY knowledgable and professional and gave us the best possible result, far exceeding our expectations. In addition, they were more respectful of our home, property, w/ cleanup, etc. We were only without power for under 2 hours as they ran the generator circuitry through our main panel. We were able to run most of our home off the generator only, which other contractors seemed unable to do.
